Omar, this is a simple truth. When Selassie was asked if he was Christ reincarnate or God he responded that he could not interfere with the beliefs of people. Selassie say that he was was a mortal man of flesh, and that he was not the reincarnate. He told people that his wish was not to be worshiped as a god or God and that people should continue to worship God as they have done and not to worship him. I have to be honest, you are confusing in your interpretation.
As a white person it is very hard to practice rastafarianism when the black people are glorified. Shouldnt we all just be regarded as children of god/haile selassie I?

I listened to the opening of this video twice and do not see how this young fellow came to the conclusion that Selassie debunked the whole idea of reincarnation. He clearly did not. Christianity doesnt teach reincarnation,U got that right.It teaches resurrection.Reincarnation is a on going cycle of souls being reborn to physical body's.Resurrection only happens once,not to a earthly body's but to spiritual bodys.The Bible does say that there will be a 2nd coming of Jesus in the end time but he won't be reborn here on earth,he has already been resurrected.The bible says he will appear in the sky and all eyes will see. If you follow Haile Selassie then you must be able to accept the entire doctrine and not just the pieces that fit into your tradition. It is written in Heb 1:6 that God said let all the angels worship Christ; that means to follow him not to proclaim him as the Almighty. For once again it was God who told the angels to look to Jesus. Therefore God and Christ are two separate people as it is written in John 8:17-18. The Lord did not create the world for two different people to be the same person. Therefore when God told the angels to worship Christ that does not mean that Christ is God.

No, Christ being equal with God means that they both are one. It is also written for us all to become one with God just as Christ is (John 17:21). Statues is not included because these are inanimate objects which are prohibited by God to be worshiped. Therefore if people are doing the wrong thing, then religious tolerance does not mean that we can not inform the people about what is right and wrong. That should also illustrate that being One with God does not make you God. The Christ is inborn within a self-realized soul. However, this cannot be taught as it must be realized through direct experience. Each soul's karma is different according to grace received about what can be realized now or in future.
@Tobijahking I overstand your point of view, Being against the Pope who has more doctrines that I don't agree with, BUT Phil Chapter 2 talks about God incarnating taking the role of a servant, if you read the chapter in context. It has nothing to do with whether I follow the pope or not. The Bible itself was compiled in the Holy councils at Nicaea, chalcedon, and others which were bishops of catholic and local christianities. They concluded Trinity and you follow the bible they compiled.

@Raspect56 His Majesty referenced the Bible by saying Jesus was born from Virgin Mary. The Bible says that the Virgin is a parable; you have been quoted that numerous times. But you ignore it and still say that it is literal. I wonder if you go through life like this all the time. Do people have to explain the same thing to you a million times when it comes to all subjects before you understand it? Or does it matter who tells it to you for you to accept it?

That is the same argument that the people say against Rasta when they say when did Haile Selassie say that He is God. There is no speech where His Majesty said verbatim "I am God." So how do you know that He is, you must understand the parables. If all men are created equal does that mean that all men are the same person? So why would you try to convince me that Jesus being equal with God somehow makes him God? Whats wrong with thinking, this should not be so hard? I tell you again not for you to get all hot and bothered but the idea of Christ being God is from Rome, the Council of Nicea
If you follow the Bible then you should have no problem with Philippians chapter 2 which describes Jesus as God.
I noticed you said Haile Selassie said he is not Christ. He never said those words as christ is not a name but a title meaning a anointed. Was he not anointed King of Kings?Some falsely believe that was His name but it was not.It was Jesus "English", some called him Jesus of Nazareth but whilst he was fleshly alive they debated on Him being The Christ.Jesus however did not want everyone to know he was Christ by word declaration, instead he wanted them to believe by prophecy.

@Raspect56 cont I follow His Majesty while you follow your own inclinations, twist, and interpretations. Jesus is the Son of God second person in the Selassie(Trinity). Jesus is the I AM and the Word of GOD. Jesus is indeed a prophet,priest, and a King. I don't claim any mansion of Rastafari but I do praise and follow the most high JAH. Biniyam Afework Who are you to decide what a man can't or can do? Christians use a Cross, a Roman weapon of execution and torture, as a symbol of unity in their religion. They took a symbol and used it for something completely different. Why can't another man do the same thing for what he believes is true?

Once again you are only paying attention to what fits into your cozy perception of God but if you had the truth then you would be able to interpret all things. To understand words you must be able to analyze the context in which the word is used. God told the angels worship Jesus, that tells you that Jesus is not God. Worship also has different meanings such as adulation which does not mean the worship of God.
