    The safest cut is long layers. It’s really subtle and you can still do all your slick back styles. You can always try the look by setting your hair on rollers at different heights to see how it would fall with layers (like a twist or braid and curl) 🤷🏾‍♀️ but if you’re not sure, don’t risk it girl your hair is beautiful as is 😍

      Ok another hair twin 💁🏾‍♀️
      I have used the oil while my hair is still wet, but the only reason I didn’t like it was because it gives the gel less of a hold. I hope you try it and enjoy your results!! 🤎🤍

      @@Ty_Monia LOL, nah, not that bad. I used to use box dye years ago, but it damaged my hair profusely. Using regular bleach worked so much better for me, and I have been doing it at home for over 8-9 years. My hair was waist length twice. But have had many setbacks in the middle of that ( and big chopped twice) and having 5 kids, which made my hair thin out MORE. I am just now at a point where I can manage the bleach care better and my hair is finally thickening up again. Yay! It's mid back again, just not all of my hair is at mid back.

      Oop 🫢 not me not being able to read lol. The wash may take an hour and applying the gel use to only take me 30 mins, but since my hair has gotten longer it takes like an hr. Takes a couple hours under the dryer or a day to air dry. Hope that helps! 🥰

    I’ve been seeing a lot of people use foam with gels recently. Have you personally used a foam to combat the hard cast from the gel? Because whenever I try to use oil to break the cast I’m left with my whole entire face oily throughout the day from the oil that I put in my hair to scrunch out the crunch. What do you think I should do? And would you recommend foam or no and why?

    • @Ty_Monia
      @Ty_Monia  10 месяцев назад

      I have not used foam and gel..and I don’t have the oily face issue. You may want to try something with less hold that way you do not need to scrunch out the crunch as much. Maybe use a jelly instead of a gel.

    • @Ty_Monia
      @Ty_Monia  Год назад

      Hi! I really like the Aussie Moist conditioners, the Shea Moisture Manuka Honey conditioner, and L’Oréal total repair condition. Those are all cheap conditioners that I can use a very generous amount of and have REALLY good slip in my opinion.

    How Long did it take to air dry. My hair takes 2 days . I also have problems with roots matting. I have not found a shampoo that helps the mielle did not work and the pump was annoying. bottle kept slipping out my hand😅

    • @Ty_Monia
      @Ty_Monia  Год назад

      Not gonna lie - I take the nozzle off most of the time 🥴. If I air dry it will take a day and a half, but I sat under the dryer and diffused which took a couple hours and typically the next morning my roots are still damp which will take half a day to dry.

    Eco is too heavy for me, and it is very drying to my hair. Personally, my preference is medium-hold gels, but I follow several girlies who prefer hard-hold gels and they talk about a couple that have a similar hold to Eco and Wetline but are botanical. There are two that I hear about a lot: Eco Slay Jello Shot, and Mane Krush Kurltini. I will say that the price tag is much higher than Eco for both of them. For my styler on wash day, I use UFD Curly Magic gel with either Mousse Def or Treluxe foam on top. My hair is long also and it just has its natural shape as well. I'm fine with that because I don't want to go to a salon to get a shape and then be totally unhappy with my hair until it grows out, or even worse have a stylist get scissor happy and take off way too much.

    • @Ty_Monia
      @Ty_Monia  Год назад +1

      I know the heavy hold and look isn’t a preference for everyone. I’ve seen several comments about others using UFD gel. I may have to try those other gels you mentioned having the same hold as Eco. Thanks for sharing!! 🤎🤍
      You seem to share my same feeling about getting a curly cut. I don’t want NO SCISSOR HAPPY STYLIST ✂️✂️✂️ and I’m just too picky.

    How do you avoid your hairstyle getting very tangled with this hairstyle?

    • @Ty_Monia
      @Ty_Monia  4 месяца назад +2

      I’ve only noticed it starting to tangle after having this style around 2 weeks. Otherwise, the curls stay nicely separated. I just keep an oil/mist in it and put it up at night. Actually, if I’m not going out I typically just keep it in a high bun.
