    #1 Shotcrete/gunite would have been a much more efficient application.
    #2 All the previous comments regarding fall protection.
    It's not actually required because there's no vertical drop/fall hazard. Fall protection is only required where there is over 6' of vertical fall and no handrails.
    Go pour some 0" slump concrete on a job as crazy hard as that one and you'll understand exactly why nobody's tied off. Watch it again and imagine everyone wearing a harness fighting yoyos and lanyards! That'd be twice the freaking Nightmare!

    I assume that this pour is the bottom of a grain silo. The roller screed should be powered so the operator doesn't have to tug it around the cone.

    • @ConcreteLand
      @ConcreteLand 8 лет назад +5

      I disagree, by pulling it you have more control over the machine. Sometimes powered everything is not the best way to do a job.

    • @badlandskid
      @badlandskid 7 лет назад

      epistte The screed is powered. The motor on the top end makes it spin.

    • @badlandskid
      @badlandskid 7 лет назад +3

      Dezmar Perez the powered roller screed is designed to cut. Putting power to the carriage wheels could cause the screed pipe to climb up onto the concrete mix. Pulling it by hand is the best option. Besides, it looks like they know what they are doing and don't really need the help of keyboard experts.

    • @badlandskid

    • @farmallskittle
      @farmallskittle 7 лет назад +1

      this is for holding grain so small grains such as wheat and oats and especially canola which is really small can fall through the gaps even weed seed that came in on a truck could contaminate the grain

    • @Maloy7800
      @Maloy7800 7 лет назад +2

      If it all has to be done in a limited time to set as a single piece, what with being concrete, and it's heavy stuff and moving it around is hard work, what with it being concrete, and none of the people "doing something" can see the whole, what with each of them being close to a small part of a big job, you want shifts to work fast for short periods and swap out and you want someone overseeing the project. Sure, the one guy in the office with a 50-inch waistband is expendable, but he's the one who decides who stays and who goes.
