Really enjoyed watching your process, feels like in the end you created a sci-fi character from a pulp fiction comic, loved you embraced the black & white, really helps sell the character is ripped from another dimension trying to comprehend the madness before him. You did a lot with very little space.
I think you rocked it! I was thrilled and curious to see what was going to happen with this art piece. It's lack of cohesion is now nicely brought together. I don't envy anyone who gets an art collab piece and the stress it causes them. 😫 I don't know your channel but this video was delightful and fun. Great editing and music picks too. Lastly, Kudos for being a good dad first and the artist youtuber 2nd! I'll be looking into more of your videos later! 😄
I could have done that in less than a day.... Talk about disrespect for the process, the other artists, the fundraiser, and everyone following this process! As a fellow Canadian, I must say, you sure made the rest of us Canadian artists look bad!.... Short of being very ill, or in a hospital in a coma, there was no reason you couldn't have had this done within a weekend!. The other colab is winning hands down!. This one had "greedy" artists and procrastinators. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but I'm just being honest!....
@@adisoncardoso We have had a daughter, and that's no excuse. If I had this opportunity when we first had our daughter it wouldn't have taken me 5 damn months to paint a tiny dude!. I've never heard a more pathetic excuse in my life!. Maybe a week delay, not 5 damn months!.
This was a fantastic episode in the season, absolutely loved it, and the art and story you came up with are amazing!! You figured out a way to tie it all together and I love it! So hyped you took part in this!
Yes you definitely saved the disaster the unoriginal Alice in wonderland artist set in motion, turned a mess into something that makes sense, still pissed dude painted over 33% of Jess's work so he could put a big stupid Alice in wonderland white rabbit, seriously next go around there should be a rule, put effort in tying your work into the existing piece to make a consistent piece that flows, all everyone does is add a character...🤷, Where's the effort in making an actual story? I've yet to see anyone add background like mountains and or trees or buildings or the interior of a building... Ya the rule should be, EVERYTHING HAS TO MAKE SENSE, Don't just make a collage of a bunch of random characters... The point of this is to make a collaborated painting, not a collage of different RUclips artists work.
I am a new follower of these collaborations and have been following this one since the second artist's addition. As much as I love Jess Karp's artwork, I do tend to agree with others that she took up what seemed to be far too much real estate on the canvas. The hands were beautiful and should have been left at that. I absolutely adore the work of James Gurney and loved his whimsical and colorful addition. I feel foolish in not having been familiar with the artist who added the white rabbit but was mesmerized as I watched him create the wily bunny holding the crazy escheristic melting timepiece. And then came you, Sir. Again, I plead ignorance and hadn't heard of you prior to this collab. (one of the things I am enjoying most about following along is the exposure to such great artists all in their own rite). Your 6 month delay must be excused, nothing takes precedence over family. In my humble opinion, your well thought out addition to the painting in such a limited space, was genius! It actually begins to bring some cohesiveness to the work as a whole and begins to tell a story. Rather than a group of random characters, albeit colorful, with a funny bear hanging onto the side. You definitely have a new subscriber here (not as if you lack for more, lol). As I thoroughly enjoyed your fascinating snippet tutorial on the proper anatomy of the skull. All in all, great job! And I very much look forward to seeing what the next artist of your choosing does with his little corner to bring this work of art to it's final fruition. He (and his wife) seems quite delightful with a great sense of humor.
So worth the wait! This piece makes sense now and with all these legends on it makes it so exciting ! Thank you for making this so cohesive now. BRAVO ❤️
It would definitely take 6 months for anyone to tie this piece together with a cohesive storyline (great job chubby cat) ;) It is amazing how much story you were able to tell with such a small section. I kind of wish you finished it off, but it's nice to add another artist (only 25K followers too) and not just the dark swirls of space and time in the other corner. As always, as soon as I see videos from these collabs I drop everything to watch. I hope someone gets less timid with the other tryptic paneled one, and does and entire scene on one of the remaining side panels or it will easily be 2024, before its done.
This is awesome! I loved being let in on the creative process especially in terms of decisions around character and color palette and tying back into the themes. I think having a more loose style here is also a nice departure from some of the more controlled styles represented. PS I love your cheeky asides and your good naturedness in handling the frustration around timing, etc. Can't wait to check out your other videos. YAY!
I already watch your videos, but I hadn't subscribed yet. Well color me subscribed. And that Pinball machine is so beautiful, I also love pinball machines, and have actually played that JP one before. Respect!
Marco...You are AMAZING!!! You've created the best video in the chain. It was so worth the wait!! I admire everything about this, especially the dedication to your family. You are an amazing artist but more importantly, a GREAT father. Great job, and I can't wait to see what comes next.
So cool and very engaging and entertaining video and storytelling of it all. I was laughing and smiling as you tried to figure out how to get it home. Flight attendant: I will have to touch it at some point Marco: Oh sure Feel free to paint it if you want 😂😂😂 I liked how you tried to come up with a narrative for this crazy piece as it gets more and more packed. Cool time traveler man! Excited to see what Jared does, his little part had me dying. Cheers!
This panting is so all over the place, and every artist before you has just added to the madness. I'm so impressed you found a way to make it all work together!! The fact you keep it black and grey too really helped convey the story you gave him! Excellent job!!
Such a clever way of bringing the art piece together! Well done, it is now starting to tell a cohesive story instead of just random bits of beautiful art.
Jared Cullum is an AWESOME addition! I found his channel recently and I love his videos. I clicked immediately when I realized it was an update to the collab. :) Your time traveler addition is AMAZING! I was worried about what in the world someone would do with the odd spaces left, and you knocked it out of the park! What a fun video!
Thank you!! I've been waiting for someone to somehow tie this whole piece together. There have been some amazing artists on this collab but they all have very different styles and it was looking disjointed. Your addition helps to tie it all together, just what it needed.
Sooooo good!! I got to the end of watching this and realised I'd had a smile on my face the whole time. It's REALLY good to see you back, Marco. Your children are the sweetest! That brief shot of the painting in bubble wrap by the urinals made me laugh out loud 😄 And was chuckling while you were 'documenting your thoughts' on what to add to it. Can't deny that I kept thinking "add the Intern, the Intern!!" Am kinda guessing that the music (when you started to talk about time at 7:00) was intentional to sound like the old Dr Who theme? Stroke of genius! And Jared's training montage is hilarious!
Thank you, Chieko :) Yes- that is my wife. Your comment means a lot. I'm honored to do this project and am already hard at work to make sure I carry my weight.
@@JaredCullum marco clearly just drew a picture of himself being terrified by the painting. You should just insert a random still life in the other corner. Why wouldn't a grapefruit go there?
I actually found this whole project so inspiring, that we did something similar in our friend group of artists, with the theme of "dreams". And then I ended up in almost the same situation as you, because I was one of the last to paint on it and had no idea what to fit on there 😅 so this part of the video was quite reletable
We waited... And waited... And waited some more... Well that's nothing new life is a waiting game until it's gone and then you're dead. So on that note, Dude you absolutely ROCKED this! Seeing such a vast group of characters has me already whipping up a great D&D group to fit each image. As adventures all together as they discover eachother through space and time, the next step can be the last or not, but only through working together can they find themselves all at home in the same plane of existence... And on a side note, the "pro's" should look at the "Part B" of season two. The "rookies" got y'all beat with an additional 4 boards of space to work with. Take notes, even the newbies have great ideas.
So glad to see you've been doing well! I love the addition of your little one at the end, super adorable! Even though you're known for your color usage, you've shown that colors is only a small facet of your artist's skillset, great work and I enjoyed your explanations throughout the process. Never heard of Jared before, but I already love his work, thanks for introducing me! Can't wait to see what he'll add to it!
What an awesome addition!! Love your art but even more I love that you took all the pieces and made them feel like they are telling a cohesive story! Well worth the wait
I’m glad you got a spot. You deserve it! very underrated in terms of sub count. You deserve so much more, your brushes and techniques have made me a better graphic designer. I appreciate you Marco!
What a wonderful surprise to see your video pop up today!! Not only do I love your thought of trying to bring cohesiveness to the composition, but you still took time to make it a teaching moment for those of us who watch to learn. Thank you, Marco. I love your contribution! And that baby is the spitting image of you 😊. Enjoy every second with your little one.
this was the best way to tie it all together and make sense of what’s going on. i think that’s the hardest job for the artist bear or at the end. the reason for your break is totally valid and no one can be mad at you for it 😊 new subscriber 😊
I am impressed you could actually pull story out of this fractured piece. Every other artist seemed just to want to show off thier styles rather than create a unified piece, unlike in the first collab. Glad they found someone who could steward the project and pull it together.
Love the graphite transfer technique; I used to use that for making design transfers for detailed sign lettering. A similar way also for painting sections of billboards. Great work Marco! Looks awesome!
I love the drawing lesson of anatomy. That's something i need to work on perspective wise and where shadows are on the characters. I really like how this turned out and a delayed video only meant it was a surprise when finally aired.
Mr. Bucci I dont have words to let you know how inspiring and educative you have been, thanks for every single video, even if it takes years, just thanks for it
I love how you combined mediums for the painting, especially the airbrush! I've thought of investing into an airbrush setup in the past, only for painting model kits. But now I see the potential of mixing mediums together, which is very inspiring. Painting looks amazing, the storytelling is very well thought out, and it was great to see your entire process! Now, I'll go check out all the other artists involved in the collab, it seems like I've been living under a rock...
Nice blending of digital and traditional techniques. The graphite transfer and tracing paper layout are very old tools but still useful! Brilliant idea using a traveller theme to tie everything together.
I could not imagine how anyone could fill that space, but you nailed it! Amazing! Thanks for the art lesson too - I’ll definitely be watching more videos.
I was checking the channel literally yesterday to see if it's been as long as it felt since the last Marco video. So good to have you back, and with such a fun one too!
I can’t be the only one thinking that Jess although her artwork was great, took up too much space on the canvas where Marco’s addition had to be squeezed in and Aaron’s is off the canvas.
I think about it too. It annoyed me, but at the end that's how she expresses herself. Taking more space is a valid creative choice. The space restriction the hands added to the painting sparkled unexpected and very creative results. I think that's the main goal of the collab.
I feel Jess' art ties it all in beautifully, there is no set number of artists at the beginning each artist just does their bit and passed on, no one had to go off canvas, that was their creative choice...all amazing artists working together to give a piece life.
I don't think so, if you look at it, the fox, the dragon, the rabbit, they all take pretty much the same space... Maybe she could've refrained herself from painting the girl, but other than that, I agree with Marnie; her part was essential to tie everything it had and everything it would come to have. Otherwise, it would turn a giant mess, like the other collab, where absolutely nothing makes sense... 🤷♂
Aarons too..in that he kind of violated an unwritten rule.. Straying outside the space, although wasnt stated, it is implied as now anyone can keep going bigger and off the confined space without limit. I think it doesnt need to be stated in rules but does kind of tell you something about the artist who tries to compete for attention and space. IMO, it feels more like ego dictates how much space and how to steal as much attention to "your" spot. There is such a thing as restrictions based on respect and in the spirit of the collab.
And just to add, let's be honest, Tenhun sets the tune for it... He chooses a relatively small canvas for cost's sake, and then paint a big piece on it... People will base on that, it's obvious that after 2 or 3 collabs, pretty much the whole thing will be filled. But I'm glad, this "season" has dragged too much already, it doesn't have the same hype as the first one.
Wow! You did a great job! I love the concept, the execution and then floating glowing pendant! Although I’m not sure I understand the form of the glass helmet tho
Ahhhmazing! Love the story and happy to have found your channel. I honestly don’t care about timelines. Art takes time. And..this! So cool! Thanks to all the artist and 10 hundred for making the only show I can’t wait to watch!
“He stole the painting!” I love how people think it’s so easy to come up with a concept 😂 Especially when you are adding on to someone else’s work, or doing someone else’s concept for a piece. There’s a LOT of pressure in hoping you get it right for the viewer. I didn’t know Jared lived in Pittsburgh! Always happy to see such talented yinzers! ❤
Worth the wait! Awesome awesome video and addition to this piece! I love how you really thought about how to tie everything together and make a story. Looking forward to seeing the finale!!
Hullo Marco! You are truly inspirational and a stunning video creator! You added a fine addition to the collaboration, yet I believe that the artwork of your video surpasses so much of the other contributors! Truly well done! You fit your time traveler right into the story of this painting! I am glad to have found your channel, you got another sub!
I unsurprisingly love this! Marco!!We’re so close to each other ….I hope I can meet you one day, you’ve been a huge inspiration to my artistic endeavours! Amazing vid!! (That pinball machine thoooo 😍)
Your family is the most important thing, so you pause whenever you need it. We totally support you=) This is fantastic. Such a clever way to bring everything together=)
Great solution to a big challenge, Marco. I love the idea to paint in greys and how you executed the art. I watched this episode first, then started at the beginning and watched all videos in the appropriate order as they were made and watched yours again. What a journey this art piece already made. Love it, that all of you found a special way to contribute. And am quite intrigued how the picture will look in the end. Thank you all for sharing and for taking us along the ride. 😊
I had a huge smile on my face throughout the whole video. It great to see your little guy too!!! Love the pinball machine (I am a fan of both pinball and the movie)--so jealous! And your thought process for the painting makes me want to do traditional again. Wow!!!
Marco, you RUINED the painting bro! ~ It had an almost perfect three-dementional feel to it and you destroyed that by making your spaceman TOO LARGE! ~ Had you kept him inside the "orange area" maybe half that size and as an "observer and more subtle" it might have survived. Too bad. ~
Absolutely loved this! What might’ve solved the “too much like buzz light year” was making his jaw less box shaped or making the time traveler a woman.
Your frame is epic. You nailed it. I was upset that you did not do the side panels. However once you explained how long it took, I now understand. I still want you to do the side panels. 10 Hundred, is it permitted to send it back to get the side panels painted. It would make the piece cohesive. Thanks. I do not like your art style, but I love how you incorporated it. I also absolutely love your Mural. Just not my style, but you are super talented. Loved the video.
I'm so glad to see the painting's back in business. Love what you've done with it, Marco! Even though it was a 6 month wait. Can't wait to see who you've picked for the next video 😁
Imagine a world where there were artist that were absolutely amazing that never a day in there life life wanted to be publicly known. Could they possibly exist, I mean without all the likes? Nah
WOW I really love this one and how cool would it be if someone drew a woman on the other empty spot looking up! Maybe a different expression, like excited or in awe just for a difference

Thank you for another piece of the collab drawing. I’m glad that it go one… and it’s amazing
I could not imagine how anyone could fill that space, but you nailed it! Amazing! Thanks for the art lesson too - I’ll definitely be watching more videos.
Amazing! You really brought the piece together. I love your concept with the time traveler.
I was checking the channel literally yesterday to see if it's been as long as it felt since the last Marco video. So good to have you back, and with such a fun one too!
Outstanding!!! So cool listening to your thoughts and the way you approached it. It looks stunning!!!
Yayyyyyyyy!!!!! What a treat! Also I love how your “black and white” is actually quite colorful ❤
Wow! That was entertaining, creative And educational! I loved how you came up with the concept! 😍👏👏👏 The final piece 💥💯
Loved listening through the creative process. I can also appreciate how you tied all the elements together.
“He stole the painting!”
I love how people think it’s so easy to come up with a concept 😂
Especially when you are adding on to someone else’s work, or doing someone else’s concept for a piece.
There’s a LOT of pressure in hoping you get it right for the viewer.
I didn’t know Jared lived in Pittsburgh!
Always happy to see such talented yinzers! ❤
This was worth the wait. It made me think this guy was stepping out of the Twilight Zone and into a new reality. I love the black and white.
Your kid is the best reason for the pause 💜
The video, the story and the artwork are amazing 💜
Worth the wait! Awesome awesome video and addition to this piece! I love how you really thought about how to tie everything together and make a story. Looking forward to seeing the finale!!
I was liking the buzz lightyear bubble helmet, specifically in front of the hands.
Not just one of the best art videos but one of the best videos i've ever seen (also I would like to know your cat's educational backgorund)
“Really annoying bear head” - Marco Bucci 🟡🟡🟡🟡🟡🟡
Loved your addition 😃 it has an old school Sci fi movie vibe that really fits the piece.
The red hands are taking up way to much space
The introduction of jarred was good 😂 looking forward to it
I am SO impressed! I love that you kept the character b&w, it gives him a total Twilight Zone feel!
I unsurprisingly love this! Marco!!We’re so close to each other ….I hope I can meet you one day, you’ve been a huge inspiration to my artistic endeavours! Amazing vid!! (That pinball machine thoooo 😍)
So happy to see this one. Absolutely a great addition and an awesome story.
Love it, well worth the wait!! Awesome you took inspo from day of the tentacle! One of my favorite games to this day ✨ Congrats on the little one!
What an awesome art piece, can’t wait for the prints to be released! Ps dadlife can be hectic, totally understandable ❤
Oh, Brilliant! The wait was worthy!! 😍😍😍 we missed you Marco; welcome back!
You're awesome! This video is amazing! Love it!
Thankyou you have given painting a story I was so worried it would not make sense. So awesome. You have a new sub in me
Incredible. This one was so funny! And the end omg jared and his wife are great
Nah, that cat looked just as shocked xD 6:24
Your family is the most important thing, so you pause whenever you need it. We totally support you=)
This is fantastic. Such a clever way to bring everything together=)
YEEEEES!!!! Worth the wait! I loved watching your paint, pencil, airbrush combination. Love it in black and white
love for your baby, and always a beautiful painting ❤️
Great video. Congrats on the new baby. Such a cutie!
I really wish those hands weren’t there.
You have no idea how my face lit up seeing your video after so long
I had a huge smile on my face throughout the whole video. It great to see your little guy too!!! Love the pinball machine (I am a fan of both pinball and the movie)--so jealous! And your thought process for the painting makes me want to do traditional again. Wow!!!
I’m just glad that you are still alive and didn’t get bored with RUclips, really love your content
Oh my god, boss, you're back!!!!
The takeover parts is becoming my favorite part of this... x'D Great addition to the painting!
OMG!!!! DAY OF THE TENTACLE.
That was what was missing! The linking up of all the characters. You've got yourself a new subscriber! Awesome work!
This is so awsome. Thank you for beeing not just a part of this colab, but entertain us. I love it.
You had me at Day of the Tentacle!!
Marco, you RUINED the painting bro! ~ It had an almost perfect three-dementional feel to it and you destroyed that by making your spaceman TOO LARGE! ~ Had you kept him inside the "orange area" maybe half that size and as an "observer and more subtle"
it might have survived. Too bad. ~
I love your addition. having it kinda colorless is really great addition
Looks amazing, love how you tied it all together.
Lovely! And it's great that you took the time for your family, this is a priority :)
For a moment there I thought you'd say time ----> you'll paint Stonehenge :D
Imagine a world where there were artist that were absolutely amazing that never a day in there life life wanted to be publicly known. Could they possibly exist, I mean without all the likes? Nah
WOOOOOOOO That crusin track is FIRE!!! great music choice, and dope addition to the piece.
WOW I really love this one and how cool would it be if someone drew a woman on the other empty spot looking up! Maybe a different expression, like excited or in awe just for a difference
Family is always first. Great choice. It really does get the creative juices flowing.
The guy looks like the guy is holding up the vison and looking in horror as the black and white becomes this vison of insanity color. XD
this was so enjoyable to watch, glad you are back !
