- MCS (Amendment) ACT 2019 w.e.f. 9th March 2019.
Sec 154 B-1 (18) : Associate Members means husband, wife, father, mother, brother, sister, son, daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, nephew, niece, a person duly admitted to Membership of a society on written consent recommendation of a Member to exercise his rights and duties with his written prior consent and whose name does not stand in the share certificate.
Member have rights to appoint "ASSOCIATE MEMBER" to exercise his rights & duties with duly filled Appendix 5 & Entrance Fee Rs. 100/-

Information is useful. Request to clarify, when joint member who stands 2nd or 3rd on share certificate, he can use all powers of 1st member. If yes, is any form to fill up.
If husband and wife are joint owners and wife is MC member. SGM can be atteneded by both husband and wife or only wife who is MC member but second in share certificate.
What about 56m of society bare act.. is not valid now... Where it is mentioned in the ordinance that associate member can be office bearer.. please share the citation
