Great info. You answered all of my questions before I lay down my money for a Surface Pro. Better still, you answered a few that I never thought to ask. And a big thanks to so many of the people who commented before me with their thoughts on the mice / mouse that they bought - all so helpful. Thank-you.

Great video and thanks for the trip down mouse memory lane. Yes, I remember cleaning the gunk off the trackball mouse rollers and the apple burger mouse will always be known as the hockey puck mouse to me! As for my surface I'm currently using the Logitech M720, great mouse.

I run a LogitechMX Ergo that I use with my primary laptop. It has a 2 device mode and I have the 2nd channel linked to my Surface via Bluetooth. When I'm on the road I use the Surface as a 2nd screen for reference data and being able to jump the mouse between computers with the click of a button is great.

Oh yeah I remember the mice with the ball in my computer lab in school when we were in junior school. As soon as the teacher wouod look away we would just lift up the mouse and roll it in our hands cause it felt funny 😅😅😅. And whenever we went to a link shop, at would look for broken mice and request the scrap dealer to give us the balls and he works always oblige. 😊. Nice memories you brought back with this video. Thanks.

I just bought the Logitech MX Master 3 for my Surface Pro X. I love the mouse, and how I’m able to switch to my PC very easily, but kinda disappointed not being able to download the setup on the Surface Pro X to take advantage of the flow multi-device control. Other than that, I’m satisfied with my purchase.

I've got an Intellimouse Pro (the Intellimouse Classic was frustratingly coarse) for my desktop and one of those touch arc mice for travel.
How Apple got a reputation for good design becomes extremely unobvious once you see their mouse designs. Even their current one is terrible. And then you see the prices.

The best travel mouse I've used so far is the Razer Orochi v2. I find it good enough for gaming and it's comfortable for work too. It's crazy light with an AA lithium battery, it also supports AAA batteries, can run on Bluetooth or with a dongle for gaming, although the size is better for smaller hands.

I have the original Arc Mouse (the one with button) for travel and use a MX Master 3 at my desk. I've tried the new Ark mouse but not a huge fan of it as it kills my hand to use.

I've had both BT arc mouse designs and after an adjustment period I found the new one to be better. But it did take some adjustment. To right click, you have to make sure the finger on the left side of the mouse is raised! Kind of weird, but it gets better.

Thanks for another great video. A small point - the MS Arc mouse runs on 2 off AAA batteries, not AAAA as you quote at 4:49 in your video. The only thing I know that uses the AAAA battery is the Surface pen. Still the Arc mouse batteries last so long that you probably have not had to look recently.

A side benefit of using the Surface Arc mouse is that they are available in the same colours as the Surface keyboards so you can match the mouse to the keyboard and thus tell which mouse goes with which Surface.

I use a Logitech M590 silent. The buttons do not make much noise so I don't have to worry about people complaining. It has 7 programmable buttons and can be connected by either a dongle or Bluetooth, which is great. It is quite similar to the Microsoft Precision but much cheaper.

Is there any mouse for windows that allows tap to click - e.g., single tap left, single tap right, touch scroll, two finger tap.....essentially tap/touch instead of scroll....i know a lot of mice out there support touch scroll (including apple magic mouse on windows) but none with tap to click

My only concern is I have 2 cats. They eat mice. Only an Apple mouse could survive the attack. That’s because Apple builds quality products. The newest Apple device eliminates RSI. As it uses a neural link to the screen. Scrolling is only a thought away.

I am a right handed person but use left hand track ball mouse on my desktop. My left hand was not doing enough work! This way I can free up my right hand and dedicate it to number crunching. My right hand and wrist is less tired as a result and my production naturally increased. This also helps me center the keyboard perfectly so I have a better posture overall. I highly recommend left handed mouse. Check out Elecom or Ploopy mouse.
