It’s last call for The Gallaghers and you’re invited to the party to end all parties. After a decade of dysfunction, the South Side’s favorite clan is going out with the biggest bang ever. It's just occurred to me that Frank having dementia might make his personality revert to how it was before he met Monica in moments and flashes, and they'll have to deal with the fact that this is the father that was stolen from them by his own addictions and it's the father they're only getting to catch a glimpse of because said addictions are killing him

William H. Macy is a powerhouse. His portrayal of Frank’s dementia is heartbreaking to watch 💔

It is but then it isn’t bc he brought that all on himself. All the years of drugs and alcohol have caught up with him and I get that addiction is an actual illness but he was still a shitty person so... 🤷🏽♀️

What the hell are you talking about? Frank has been literally non-stop drinking since his youth, even after his liver transplant. Maybe he had a few sober moments but I don't know what Lip has to do with this. If anything Lip's own alcoholism only got worse because of his psychological damage from Frank's terrible parenting.
And no he is not a good person, he is a low-life, narcissistic con artist who abused and neglected all six of his kids and spent his life scamming the system, shunning all responsibility only to serve himself and himself alone.

I’m sorry I know Frank’s illness is very serious. My family went through the same with my grandfather. But Carl’s line at the end of the clip kind of made me laugh.
When fiona left she made sure she kept the house in her name, not debbie because debbie was going through that spend like crazy faze and fiona was the only one that knew they had to keep the house for good no matter what.
How do you know that for sure
@@bigchris9213 Because she actually said it in one of her last episodes and her character would never leave the house in the kids hands after she raised them and was the main force in keeping the house. Also, I believe there was what, 4 or 5 episodes about the time they thought they had really lost the house, remember, carl gave her the money BUT, she is the only one with a proper credit rating that would definitely be needed to have it in her name. If she doesn't own it then it will be the shows writers just changing what are very standard rules to own a home.

Getting the feeling we're going to see some pent up and frustrated love shown to Frank by his kids the last few episodes. The scene in last night's episode when Mickey is feeding Terry and tells him he wouldn't have been such a bad dad if he wasn't such an abusive homophobic bigot POS was really sad. If Mickey still had a shred of love clinging to him for his shit excuse of a father the Gallagher kids must have a hibernated love for Frank still lingering in them somewhere.
I said the same,that has to be the reason for that scene like a foreshadowing type of thing

I'm curious as to what was the significance of the painting on the mantle in the Gallagher living room all about.
Frank was planning a heist the entire episode to steal from the Art Institute of Chicago but then he realized his old "gang" were either dead or too old to help him with the heist. The end credit scene with the painting on the mantle (one of the most famous paintings in the museum "Nighthawks" probably worth millions) is telling the audience that Frank somehow managed to pull the heist all by himself, offscreen

I think Frank is going to raise money and finesse like he always do but I think it will cost him his life I think this season will give us Frank’s redemption even though in my eyes he not that bad of a person

Well i know after season 2 the uk and us versions went there own way (the uk one will always be my favourite) but Fiona shows up in the final episode I’ll be pissed if the us version doesn’t do it
I will get rid of Showtime after this. Shameless is my only reason for having it. I'm not the only one who is saddened by this show ending. There is so much more they could do with the characters.

I'm sorry but for anyone that understands addiction, Frank did what he could. I'm not saying abandon his kids, the kids got a rough pair from Monica and Frank, but people with bipolar and alcoholism, yes alcoholism, ARE A DISEASE. A disease that doesn't go into remission, no cure, and limited medication at best. Through a pathway of trauma and genetics, it passes on, we've seen this from the younger family. I really hope Frank is meaning what he's saying, people do and can recover, but with multitudes of money and resources which this family is limited to none, certainly none of Franks generation. Just thoughts, personal experience living in such an environment, and research.
Maybe he has some money stash away 🤷🏻♀️
Lip is the worse character of the show who had the most potential. The way women affects his whole bad decisions in life is exhausting. Him and Tammy had the perfect opportunity to get out but now he wants to jeopardize the family.
Love this show all the way up to this season! Great characters but the writers are SHAMELESS to put the characters through so much shit in the final moments of the last season! SMH!

I still love this show even if it's not as good.. Debbie is one is the most annoying, worst characters I've seen on tv.. I honestly hope they give that character the ending she deserves but I doubt it...
