It’s last call for The Gallaghers and you’re invited to the party to end all parties. After a decade of dysfunction, the South Side’s favorite clan is going out with the biggest bang ever. It wouldn't be that off brand of Frank to fake half of his dementia symptoms to mess with the fam or manipulate them. I wasn't sure if he was faking then either.

The doctor said it wouldn't be linear. Which means he'll have good days and bad days it doesn't progress in a downward way. It goes down and then up again and then down again and then up again.

That’s some loyalty right there most people don’t have them these days you’re right families family and that diagnosis is the saddest thing you could ever watch your family go through unfortunately I had to watch someone I love very closely die without knowing who anyone was until the end and she said thank you because she knew she was going

I think Frank dying would be a fitting end for his character. It’s proof that having such a horrible addiction does not end well for a lot of people who don’t quit. It also reminds me of a bit of possible foreshadowing in the first episode of season three where Debbie is hanging up posters looking for Frank and Fiona (or Lip, trying to remember) tells Debbie that Frank would always come back. “He’s like a cockroach”.
It’s just sad because no matter how much hate the Gallagher’s have for their parents, the thought of them dying absolutely destroys them. It’ll also be kinda ironic, you know. It’s like how Monica died so peacefully, which pissed off Fiona because of everything Monica put them through. Frank will probably die with no memory of what the pain he caused them

Frank died the last season of the Uk version so I always expected him to die the last season this series as well.

He made it much much further than most addicts, it would be more fitting if he ended up dying confused and alone on a bench, 4 years from now with no one knowing his name, or to pick up his body. Cuz that’s how we treat addicts here

@@fupalover Dementia and Alsheimers disease means that the brain is slowly dying. So essentially Frank will die because of the loss of brain function.
I think the show is gonna end with frank in the hospital and Fiona right next to him and he tells her “thanks Fiona I don’t don’t know what I would ever do with out you” just like she always wanted him to say to her in season 1

I mean.. on countless of occasions he's been in a predicament where he will die, but all of a sudden he's okay again.. look at the liver scenario for example.
Even if they say they don’t care about Frank it’s clear that they love him and want him there. It wouldn’t be the same if Frank was gone/ not himself. And the way they looked when he didn’t remember why they were at the hospital really broke me. They looked so shocked and sad
I don't think it's love, not for the older ones at least, more like the constant hope to love him, and the hope he would love them. They refused to donate liver when he was dying before so him dying now can't be that sad, probably more seeing their indestructible dad now so vulnerable is just shocking to the system

This is painful for me cuz regular alzheimers is on both sides of my family lost 7 loved ones during my high school years just cuz so close together like one 2010 then 2011 2012 etc.

frank is an unbelievably accurate depiction of alcohol addiction and where it'll lead you. even if you get a new liver, there's so much more that could happen. sadly I relate to frank a lot (except for being a dad and having a whole tree of kids) alcohol and opiates were my main ones too. That shit will take everything from you until you're finally sober, or in prison or in a morgue.

If it was any other family member she no doubt would. But Frank was always an “any day now” case, and this doesn’t warrant her dropping her life for somebody who slowly and methodically literally did this to himself.

How could anyone feel sympathy for a man who actively involved his children in crimes, breaking into houses with Carl, convincing Carl that he was dying of cancer, having Liam get security codes so he could break into the houses. Great father!
Frank isn't the best father in the world, but he never left them even at times they would kick him out of the house or throw him off the bridge but Frank never left them.
He definitely has his redeeming moments like when he got arrested to save Carl, helped Lip get some perspective about life after HS, stood up to the Meth Head

Finally he gets his punishment. I have a love hate for Frank. Does he deserve it? Yes. Does it suck that he has it? Yes.

I don't know what's more shocking, that after all this time Frank's tolerance for alcohol has depleted and that his health issues have caught up with him or that after all the scandals and the testicular tumor incident there's a doctor that hasn't heard about Frank, though Doctor-patient confidentiality could explain the latter. Fiona and Sheila need to be back for this.
I know Frank has done a lot of bad things to other people but it’s really sad to watch how slowly losing his memory and can’t remember that Carl became a cop or can’t remember which house he lived in
