    You can't get anymore American than a Bob Seger song. His music and lyrics define America.

      @@apscoradiales America is still great just like it was great for us, our parents, and grand parents. Things change with every generation and we just need to accept it. Remember, our parents had doubts about America when we were teens. America will stay great and move forward, not backward, once we remove the threats to our democracy on November 5, 2024.

      @@apscoradiales That doesn't make America bad or worse. It's always been a great country we live in, and we should all be proud to be a part of it. We are a nation of immigrants, unless you're a Native American. Like the only saying goes: If you don't like it, leave...and please do let the door hit you in the ass.

    I’m 71 ,72 in 3 months. I had some rock like qualities back in the sixties and seventies but not my arthritic hands are like rocks. The nostalgia almost wrecks me when I listen to the music of my youth. Loved bob seger ,John Prine,little feat-- I could go on forever. I hope the young people of today feel the rush of invincibility and unbounded hope that we felt when we listened to the music of the sixties and seventies.
    Sometimes when I work with young men and women I’m astounded by their power and reminded for a moment what it was like.

      Hey big dog. Like the men in the first and second ww and the Korean conflict. You're from a generation we're losing. It's not even about equality. It's about going forward to be where you need to be. Not holding back to match vibration. Everyone has become so self absorbed the big picture is fading. No one does anything because it's the right thing. If they don't get paid they won't do it. There's no positive self pride. If they have to shoulder too much they quit. Anyway God bless you thank you for being here and shouldering what you could. We need your kind of men again. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

      I bet he's a good man! This song came out in the eighties of course. I was working in construction and surrounded by cokeheads dribbling their paychecks and their lives away. My "darling" wife and I had a long term plan together though. Even though we were "surrounded by all these hustlers and their schemes." Like A Rock came out at about the mid point of our journey. "Behind every good man is a good woman" a soulmate who believes in him!!!!

      @vg8345 3 года назад +3

      @@theantiqueactionfigure my FIL married three times and my husband had to live through those marriages and those wives who were all money hungry. Sadly the hustlers won 'after working for peanuts with not a dime to spare' and after 40 years of working his guts out on the family farm he lost all that he was promised. So we started again and are still working to pay our mortgage. We now have a small rural property and a few cows for him. Sadly the cost is high and he is FIFO up north and will be for a few years more. However, 'he held firm to what he believed' he kept his integrity and honour, we have each other and have been blessed with healthy beautiful children that are kind and have a great work ethic. What more can a woman ask for! Blessings to you.

    Esse música desde de 2012 me faz chorar. Assisti o filme O sol de cada manhã ( The wheather Man) onde música faz parte da história onde Nicolas Cage tem um distanciamento com seu pai Michael Caine. Isso me lembrou da minha relação com meu pai. Gostei tanto do filme que dei de presente de natal o filme para meu pai. Em seus últimos anos de vida eu e meu pai nos aproximamos.
    Em 2012 ele morreu e música me traz a lembrança dele para perto do mim.

    One of the best guitar solo's ever. I'm led to believe that it's played on a slide guitar but I see no evidence of it in any of the video's, live versions included, so it must've been recorded using the slide.

      There's a lotta killer guitar players how about Journey? However the best player on the planet isn't even a male its Tina S.

      @@leecowell8165. Of course, and Neil Schon is quite awesome as well, one of his best rifts is on "Anytime." As for Tina S, I say; Tina S who? As great as you claim her to be you'd think I would've heard of her, other than being good, what's her claim to fame?
