I lived in Eastbourne 1989 - 1991, its amazing to see how much the shopping centre has developed & changed and become very modern
Streets look well maintained very busy, and so many young people! I thought it used to be full of older, looking as have the opertunity to move too
The shopping mall could be anywhere in the UK......Did you not fancy being outside on such a sunny day..? Eastbourne town centre has some beautiful streets beyond the tired shops.....
I have recently moved out of Eastbourne. I was born there and lived in the town most of my life. Sadly the town has changed dramatically for the worse in the last few years. It is full of illegal immigrants with many hotels taken over to accommodate them. You smell cannabis smoke everywhere. The town centre has become a dump full of drunks and down and outs begging. You never see any Police though.

Totally agree with you, I ran an Audio Manufacturing business in Eastbourne (Highfiled Industrial Estate), I was there for 21 years, the place is now a dump, it was a wonderful place to live and work from the 1970's to the latter eighties, I pulled out in the early 90's and relocated in SW France...

I'm going to Eastbourne on the 11th staying at haddon Hall Hotel it's a great p.lace to stay everyone is so nice and polite beèn going a few years I love it and quality sea is the best chippy in eastbourne

It was called the Arndale Centre when I was there, that was a dump also..
Went to Eastbourne last week, abandoned hotels, homeless people, gangs, it's becoming a dump.

eastbourne has really gone downhill sadly, ive had to move because of the crime because of the 10 hotels housing immigrants. muggings , robery skyrocketed at the beginning of this year. crime in July was 513 reported, normally it is 100 to 200
