Completed this hike yesterday!! Will remain as one of the greatest memory of my life!! Watched your video before starting..helped a lot in planning!! Thank you!!
@@thisisfirstchannal1258 The walk from the Visitor Centre car park to the start of the cliffs, all the way to the light house was maybe 2 or 3 hours, I think. I was out hiking for 7 hours in total, if you include stopping to have some food and going to the iconic house with the chimneys, then the hike back to the car park. I stayed at a campsite, so not sure about hotels.
@RyanPelle that is so true but due to coastal erosion (noticeable particularly at Birling Gap) there are changes to the area. Also there are now 8 sisters due to coastal erosion.
Well done 👏🏻 I agree it’s a hard hike particularly if it’s high tide and you can’t cross the river and have to do a detour. By the time you tackle the first sister, you’re already exhausted 😩 but the views certainly more than make up for it. Glad you enjoyed your hike.
My son with his cousin went there today and was very windy lol . I hope he is having a great time in England . I visited Eastbourne years ago and saw chalk white cliffs . Great video as I am watching it in Sydney Australia .
Slightly unlucky with the weather but I hope your son and company still had a great time anyway. It’s one of the most beautiful places in the UK. Really happy to hear that someone in Sydney is watching my video 🥰
You’re welcome :) The hills are quite exposed to the elements so when it’s a sunny day it will be too hot so make sure you bring water and put on sunblocks. Similarly if it’s a cold or windy or rainy day it will be quite brutal. Make sure to check the weather beforehand and dress accordingly. Have fun!
@@RyanPelle last year managed to walk from holywell along the foreshore by timing the tide Low tide was so far out could walk out and touch the lighthouse
Do you recommend to purchase the train tickets online both from Victoria station to Seaford and from Eastbourne back to London. or I just do it that same day at the station? Maybe trains sell out quickly in summertime? I appreciate your help.
I would recommend doing it in advance. It’s never fully booked (based on countless times Ive done this) but it’s way cheaper booking it in advance than on the day.
Hello ! Thank you for this video it’s great and really beautiful! I’m going to London next week and planning on doing this hike I have one question please regarding the transport from London the train to Seaford includes a change but a saw there’s only 4 minutes to do it how is it please ? Do we have enough time to change and go to the platform ? Thanks in advance for your help !
Hello. Glad you found my video :) The change in Lewes is quite funny as everyone in the train would be running towards the platform but don’t worry, the train driver and conductor know that people need to switch platforms so they will wait for you. Also, the platform is not that far away, though you have to climb up the stairs to get to the other side. In any case, they will wait for you. Just obviously get there as quick as you can :) enjoy the hike.
What is the duration of hike ? I dont have a car so suggest nearby hotels / places Is it ok with my 7 years daugther ? Can i take poblic transport to go back ?
If you start from Seaford like we did, it will probably take you around 6 hours depending on your pace and also the tide (high tide means a detour). I’ve seen young kids on the hike so I imagine it’s fine. There are places along the way where you could take the bus but they’re far in between. There are trains from Eastbourne going back to London.
It might be a very different experience as the weather in the UK in December is generally not so nice. It would also be so windy but it will be an experience for sure. Just stay well away from the edge if the cliff :)
I think you can. There are stairs in Birling Gap that let you down to the bottom of the cliff. There’s also Cuckmere Beach right before the start of the 7 Sisters.
Hey Ryan Can you tell me how is the weather for this hike in winters? Also, what is the duration, do we need to stay overnight or can we return to London the same day?
I’ve not done this on winter but I imagine it would be really windy and cold. But you might get lucky with the weather (you know what English weather is like😝). It would take about 6 hours to finish this hike depending on your pace. So you don’t need to stay overnight although I’ve stayed overnight in Eastbourne once and it was a delight!
@@saima_iftikharr I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. I’ve done it both when it was sunny and rainy and I enjoyed it both times. The hills are not so high but there’s more than 7 of them so it could get tiring after awhile. You’ll enjoy it though because the view is incredible. Have fun :)

Aww thank you. Very much appreciated :)
For the first time I watched a decent video about seven sisters walk. thank you
Thanks man. Greatly appreciate your comment :)
There's so many beautiful places in UK. Love the white cliffs!
Agreed Jan. Loads of really nice places… not enough time to discover all of them :)
Such an awesome place, visited last friday, great experience!

I did mine yesterday too. It really is quite a challenge. Some of those hills are brutal.

Thanks for watching. Really appreciate your feedback :)
I done this walk in February, it was absolutely amazing, something you will never forget, it certainly isnt for the fainthearted though!
Glad you enjoyed it. It’s one of those (not so) hidden gems in the UK. Beautiful regardless of the weather.
Great video. Thanks mate. Love the Seven Sisters
Fantastic walk! Great video;) love the stats at the end
Thank you. Much appreciated :)
I was there doing this exact walk on Wednesday 9th August 2023. I have been walking this route for decades.
This walk never gets old regardless of how many times you’ve done it :)

We just treked till the 3rd sister today it was exhausting but some really breath taking views in person its more amazing!

Great vlog Ryan, I'm off to Eastbourne tomorrow, doing a 25k walk which takes in part of the Seven Sisters
Thank you :) That sounds fun. Hopefully the weather improves tomorrow.
Awesome video mate. Reminded me of the time when I had been to this lovely hike :)

Agreed. I did this hike again last weekend and it’s still as good as the first time I’ve done it.

So what station to do go to from London and I'm assuming you leave from a station in Eastbourne to get back to London?
You take the train from Victoria station to Seaford then on the way back you take it from Eastbourne to Victoria station.

Lovely video Ryan. How hard is the hike from Cuckmere to Birling Gap?
Thank you. Depends on your fitness level. I would say it’s not for beginners as the hills are steep and there are 7 of them.
Great video. Can i ask what editing platform you use. Im a inspiring u tuber and using capcup at the moment.
Thank you. I’m using Final Cut Pro. Had to save up for it 😝

About 14 miles.

6 hours
How much time did it take from Seaford to Eastbourne by walk?
About 5 hours including a stopover for lunch.
