    A true masterclass from Pattinson, Dano, and Saarsgard. The delivery of the line "HOW MUCH?!?!?" from Pattinson's Batman is so great because despite him not caring about the fate of Colson due to him being one of the corrupt cops in Gotham, he still doesn't want Colson's blood on his hands.

    • @KidSixXx
      @KidSixXx 2 года назад +193

      I have to disagree. Batman is indeed concerned with Colson's fate, otherwise he wouldn't have tried so hard to get Colson to answer the riddles and confess.. Batman does not want Colson to be killed by The Riddler. He wants Colson to live to answer for his crimes. Unfortunately, Colson is in too deep and chooses to protect the lie with his silence rather than speak the truth.

      Not only was it him showing that yes, he isn’t just a bad guy he made bad choices, it also is terrifying that within 20ish seconds he has completed accepted that he is dead now either way. That is haunting and really emphasizes the intensity of the corruption in the city and the power being held over him that even with a literal bomb around his neck, he is just as dead if he gets out of it. But not only him, his family as well.
      That just fuels the mystery so well, on top of humanizing someone who wasn’t just a mustache twirling corrupt DA.

    My head-canon for Batman somehow surviving basically a 1 inch distant explosion is the shrapnel from the explosive was directed into the DA and not outwards. From my understanding, the actual fiery explosion itself is not the super lethal part of explosions, it’s the shrapnel. The fiery bit is just a chemical reaction and lots of blast pressure but the little fragments that are expelled by the explosive’s high pressure are the real killers. Then again, that amount of energy is still not very healthy for a human body and you’d probably die unless you were a super-hero… which Batman is.
    Also, Batman’s gloves are armoured so the ‘minimal’ shrapnel that had been expelled outwards was most likely blocked when he covers his face. And the blast wave was probably padded out by his armour overall.
    But tbh, I am more surprised about his actual armour plating and cape being intact, more so than his face being unaffected.
    Sorry, I just wanted to nerd out about Batman and alleviate plot armour confusion. If anyone has more scientific explanations please give.

      But I doubt that in the context of the scene The Riddler would have gone this far just for the sake of the punishment.
      For this scene the only thing that was required from the audience is the suspention of disbelief, he was Batman, that's how he survived that without a burn.

    This scene was Scary, Thrilling and pure DREAD. The Atmosphere, The Acting, The Plot, THE MUSIC! And pure feeling of Hoplessness is just clear as daylight and PERFECT. It's a masterclass of not only Suspense, but Horror. Reeves treated Batman like a God and Portrayed him as what he's meant to be: A Horrorifying Entity (in the thugs perspective) and Vengeful Spirit of the night that puts genuine fear into thugs and brings justice to the streets of Gotham in an extremely Rash, violent and raw way in his early 2 years.
    I couldn't take my eyes of the screen, it's that scary. It just feels so real and scary since it's a situation that literally could happen in real life. Not only that, it felt like a Batman Graphic Novel come to life, the darkness, horror elements and grittiness in this Movie is what makes it the BEST Batman movie to date, and it's not even a Horror movie, yet there are so many moments in this that make you jump as if it IS one. I cannot wait to see what Reeves has Planned for The Caped Crusader in The Batman 2.
    By far a Masterclass in Cinema, Acting and Plot. This is a Masterpiece.

    Such an iconic & memorable scene. By far the greatest Batman movie ever, and by far the most realistic and modern one as well. If I were to rank this, it would definitely be ranked first out of all of them. Going to keep things short and simple, and not try to spoil it for anyone that hasn't watched it yet as it only came out this year but I watched this on Christmas and fully on the 26th just like every year when my brother and I pick out a movie to watch on Christmas since its always been a tradition of ours. Like this is honestly such a masterpiece, there's no flaw with it. It's the most realistic version of the actual storyline version of Batman that they were able to portray properly, realistic, and accurately. The movie literally tells us the actual story of "Batman"/"Bruce" storyline from how it began and how his legacy started out as well as grew from a very different perspective in comparison to all the other Batman movies. Like even the cast were amazing, especially Pattinson where he successfully managed to depict both Bruce as well as Batman perfectly well, same thing with the rest of the cast, like Carmine who was played so well, same thing with Catwoman especially the riddler. Even the Batman and Commissioner duo was amazing, and one to watch. Goodcop, and batcop. Such an amazing soundtrack, a perfect, realistic, modern storyline that fits in with today and isn't overreached, or unrealistic, great cast with amazing potrayls of there characters that had no flaw, great effects, and emotion. Like you would always be on edge, and on your seat thinking as well as wondering what was going to happen next. You were literally focused on the movie at all times, esepcially with the amazing detail of the storyline that they nailed, and the attention in detail. Its literally a masterpiece and such an unforgettable movie, theres honestly no flaw with it and is one of my most favorite movies that I've ever watched on Christmas with my twin brother who never fails with his picks. Truly worth it, as well as a must watch if you wish to understand it or to see for yourself. Honestly can't wait for its sequel, trilogy if there's going to be one, and the future of this Batman. It's the best version of Batman as well as the most realistic Batman yet. One that isn't over the top, overreached and is just like the rest of us - having emotion, a past etc. - 12.26.2022

    This is the best Batman movie imo. Also one of my favourite movies ever partly because of Pattinson and Dano!

    He didmt even count down to one. He just said, "BYE!" That's was ice cold! I think even if he fully confessed, he wasn't gonna let him go.
