My black dial Kanno fits just right on my 7.0” wrist. I’ve kept it on the bracelet and I think it’s perfectly comfortable. After 2 years the best thing I can say is that it has “shut me up” from wanting a more expensive luxury mechanical watch.
I have 7.5 inch wrists, I had the kamasu and found it wore too small for my liking. Got this one and it’s stunning in its simplicity and suits my wrist so much better. Plus the crown on this is so much easier to operate than the undersized one on the Kamasu.
I have the same sized wrists and just ordered the Kanno, so I’m really happy to hear this. I thought about the Kamasu but felt like it would be too small, plus I’m not a huge fan of the look of the bezel on the Kamasu.
I have the same size wrist so I should go with the kanno actually I already have it ordered just waiting for it to get here thanks for your helpful comment I was kind of worried about the 44 mm case size
It makes sense with the bracelet if you're living in the subtropics to tropcal areas like I do, you tend to sweat all the time using leather or fabric straps will soak in the sweat and be covered in an unpleasant odur after several wearing. I only wear laether straps in places I know there would be air conditioning
Good point. Even in temperate climates bracelets are better in the summer. Also NATO’s cheapen the look of a watch imo. That said this bracelet isn’t great quality either!
Hi my friend, we are "watch buddies" as I have a blue Mako XL. It's a great looking watch. I get compliments on it all the time. What strap/bracelet do you wear it with?
Excellent! I have the orange bezel one, totally love it, one of favourite watches and suits the bigger wrist, mine is 7.9" and it fits like a glove. One of my most comfortable watches......and despite no ISO rating I've taken it down to 75-80 metres many times with no problems. I think it could easily do the 200m on the dial though I won't be diving that deep anytime soon. Great choice of watch my friends!!
Baris The Blue Orient XL is a magnificent looking watch. I wore mine for 3-4 years and beat the living hell out of it. After I scratched the face and bezel so bad from it being my daily beater I purchased a Double Dome Sapphire crystal with blue tint and Anti reflective coating for it. I also found a company in the US that sells ceramic bezels and had that put on. I now only wear it a dozen times a year and it looks amazing with the upgrades. What a watch it was just a fluke that I purchased it without having any reviews on it. The blue is mesmerising and people often say that’s a very nice Rolex. Hahahahaha
For anyone who wants one but wishes it was smaller, look at the red Kamasu. Beautiful red dial, great specs for the price, overall awesome watch. I own that one and it competes with some of my higher price tier watches easily. Still a great video showcasing another Orient slam dunk.
I've had my Orient Kanno for just over a year and really enjoy wearing it. It keeps time as good as if not better than my Lo gives Conquest which I have sent to Longines to have it checked for accuracy.
I'm seeing all these comments about the bezel size, case width - of the Kanno versus the Kamasu - unfortunately just a month of so after I pulled the trigger on a blue Kamasu. A great watch, to be sure- but I think I'd like the larger 44mm case of the Kanno. And that red dial.. wow.
This beauty is my actual next purchase. Or at least the Sapphire crystal version, the Kamasu. Good timing, Teddy! Once again sealing my decision with a video, I love it.
I’d highly recommend the Kamasu over this one. I think the Kamasu is the best value dive watch under 300 usd. Check jomashop for them. I got the navy blue for less than 200 usd
Hi Teddy, it is always a pleasure n knowledgeable to watch your videos. You come up with so many brands . It helps our mind to think beyond rolex omega n other brands . Thanks , your detailed videos are always helpful.
Having a personally asigned budget of 2000 euro for a first "luxury watch" and not being able to choose, I might just buy this while reflecting on the other watches I want to buy. :-) great content as always. Thx
Not sure if you'll see this. I've come about Kentex watches, they're a Japanese company that makes watches approved by the Japanese Self Defense Forces. They seem decent enough, but there seems to be very little literature or reviews on them, including from a few Russian reviews. I was wondering if you could get your hands on one for review. It might be a good topic since you covered a few watches used by other militaries such as the US, USSR, and China.
Teddy keeps referring to the Kanno as entry level, but under $500 you’d be hard pressed to find a better diver. Even up to $600 the only upgrades you’ll find will be sapphire crystal and possibly nicer day/date outline. But considering this watch routinely can be had under $200 that’s a bargain.
I find the expression to be ridiculous anyway. Any long time collector might be interested in buying a lower cost watch if it is interesting to the collector - being a collector doesn't mean someone who only buys high price items. I don't think there's a correlation between watch price and time spent collecting

Man, if my budget is under $500 for a dive watch- this is what I’m Buying. Orient to me just feels a bit more special than citizen or Seiko- and I think it’s a classier looking watch- and the rubber strap is fantastic btw. Buy this in two different colors and leave that Seiko in the department store watch counter.
Teddy. How many Kano’s did you accidentally buy? 😂. The Kamasu looks better and is better spec’d. Yet, sooo many mentions of the Kano and never the Kamasu 😆

Hi Teddy, love the channel. You say that Orient bracelets are "not very good". Why is that? What are the faults and what should you look for in a steel watch bracelet? Perhaps a topic for another video?!
I have a Mako XL, and I still use the bracelet that came with it as it's very comfortable and secure. However, it has a pressed clasp and hollow end links which does reduce the feeling of quality, as the watch quality is so good it makes the bracelet feel worse maybe, but it still looks good on the wrist. I have the orange bezel one so I sometimes swap it out for a nice orange and black NATO, looks great on it, which brings me to another problem with the bracelet. The hollow end links make it very awkward and finicky to put the bracelet back on again, particularly for not so nimble fingers like mine!

One of the reasons why I went with the Kanno instead.
Exactly. Kansasu had thinner bezel.
Same here
Wish this watch came in 39-41mm. Kanno is literally the best looking watch I've seen
Agreed. I own both and the Kanno bezel is much easier to manipulate. Only wish it carried a sapphire crystal but that’s minor
I have to say that Orient make some great looking watches, well made and affordable. Great brand.
