My dmx125bt Bluetooth audio quality is weak. Radio sounds better. Do you know if theres a fix for that issue ? Thanx
Reggie, bluetooth quality can be affected by the device you are using to play from, as well as the radio itself. What device are you using?
@@crutchfield for me it was a built in EQ on my device making the audio weak
Is there no way of illuminating the buttons to the left of the screen!? What I mean is the symbols and words, if that makes sense.... When hooking up this exact head unit I noticed that there is no orange wire for illumination! My that factory aftermarket harness that came with the the installation kit has that orange illumination wire but not the stereo itself....
In addition to the capacitive touchscreen monitor, the Kenwood DMX125BT offers five touch-sensitive buttons along the left edge of the screen. The button illumination is a fixed blue color.

how to get the flies into the unit? Or this just mirroring from cellphones?
The Kenwood DMX125BT does not have a built-in hard drive for downloading files; but it does support screen-mirroring via USB with compatible Android phones.

In addition to mirroring content from your Android smartphone, you'll also be able to control your Android device from the in-dash receiver's touchscreen (some content may not support touchscreen control from the receiver).

The key buttons are fixed blue.
My FM reception is static. Wasn’t like that on the stock unit. I unscrewed the antenna from the roof and it made no different in reception.
Sometimes, vehicles have an antenna amp that needs to be turned on by the radio. What vehicle did you install this Kenwood receiver into?

Check out the "Mirroring OB for Kenwood" app in your app store for more details, but you can mirror content from an Android smartphone using OS 7.0+.
I'm hoping you're still replying here, but I bought one of these a couple months ago from a radio store and mine doesn't quite have all these options like yours does.. can I update it somewhere or something?
If there are any firmware updates, they are typically listed on and available from Kenwood's website. Did you get this exact model? Which abilities do you not have in your radio?

The USB input will support MPEG-1/2/4, MKV, H.264 (up to 1920 x 1080) video formats
Does this offer android auto/Apple carplay? Guy at the shop said this would work but I don't see anything about it being offered
No that particular model does not have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto
No it does not. It offers screen sharing with android devices. But no further android auto stuff and no apps. Therefore you will have to take the DMX8019, but this one costs as twice as the DMX125

I have a question tho, according to some videos, Kenwood 125bt and 1025bt looks the same. But here in Australia, I cannot find 125bt. 1025bt is selling similar price to JVC 150bt here. May I think 1025bt is also same as JVC 150bt?
There may be slight variations in tuners, features, and model numbers between countries.

Its a pretty hopeless product. The screen mirroring function doesn't work on my galaxy S9.
