People on swatting: "How dare cops enter someones house, even if they are told someone is being murdered."
People 2 seconds later: "Cops should bust down any door of any house they get a call about."
Maybe we should agree to meet somewhere in the middle: In this case its semi understandable if the "tip-off" was anonymous. There is no possible way to know if the call was real or just some asshole trying to mess with their neighbor. If the neighbor walked out to meet the cop and explain that there was history of arguments things might have gone differently.
      .
Until you have a neighbor who has a drivers license and testify in court, you have NOTHING except an address.

Gaming Addiction Disorder is about people who’ll sit at there desk for days on days and not even move to eat or use the bathroom or even abandon all known responsibility in order to play more. Pedophiles & child molesters _need_ to be punished exactly like murderers! We know, 100% guaranteed fact, they will not ever "recover"!
So, why is this not law? Thinking we should start the processes in action to finally, put the bastards away for life. They cause the worst type of harm to society. They create a cycle of pain, torment, humiliation, trust issues & worse.
Why not, such a harsh punishment? Once a child is 'hurt', they're 'hurt' for life. No amount of coucilling or talking can take away their memories, fears, terror, guilt, trust after not being believed, not being able to stop their attacker, knowing their attacker hurt other children. Plus, victims get to deal with degrading medical exams, photos of their privates, court systems, repeating their terrors. If the 'statue of limitations' hasn't run out. Or being blackmailed as _all_ religions do to these victims. I can go on for several pages, but I think you get my point.
The abuse leads victims with the need to 'turn off' their emotions. They've been known to turn to drugs or alcohol to numb the pain. Some turn to over eating or sex. Some goes as far as harming their _own_ or others children. This monstrous fcking cycle _continues_ indefinitly!
Let's stop this finally once & for all. Force pedophiles to work in prison for $0.03/day! Once guilty, they _never_ need to get out. They'll become slave labourers. Because at least then, they'd contribute _something_ positive to society.

@@Digitalhunny I agree 100% with you but I know why its not. Because of pedophiles labeling themselves as a minority like they have there with that mapa or whatever the fuck they called it. Its a gigantic loophole. Because one that doesn't understand that sexuality or doesn't CARE (key word here, hateful people do not care) that sexuality is completely different from sexual deviation such as necrophilia, pedophilia, zoophilia, etc IS a mental disease will lable BOTH as such and a poorly written law will make it so those hateful people in power can and will prosecute innocent people for being gay, bi, trans, etc by that loophole.

This prevents the site from taking the account, and the evidence, down before actual authorities can look at it because they may not report it at times. Also do not *ever* save any of this material for "proof" or make "call out posts".

A bit of perspective from someone who's from China regarding the 'internet addiction' issue in China
I migrated out of China at a really young age with my mom, due to a lot of personal reasons I did not return to China until I was 14 years old, I went back alone without my mom with me.
I've had a personal PC at a really young age and had a very strong interest in them, my job right now involved computers and specialized software knowledge.
When I went back to China to visit my family, I had a lot of free time and would be on my laptop when everyone else was busy.
My grandparents saw that and immediately took that as 'internet addiction', they discussed about sending me to those 'treatments'.
I was too young to really understand what was going on but because I need to going back to the country I migrated to, they eventually dropped the idea.
I didn't realise what sort of potential danger I would have been under and how fortunate I was to barely escape that fate.
That was more than 10 years ago, I would say the situation is a lot better now with the advancement in technology and the conveniences it brings, but looking at this now, and remembering how certain my grandfather was that there was something wrong with me really scares me.

Bit unempathetic of you, you take a simple comment of someone sharing their experience as a Chinese person who had been in the country where this abuse was happening and twist it just so you could make a dumb comment.
You act like you've been locked up in an insane asylum and that's why anyone else who hasn't suffered the same fate as you don't deserve to have a say in anything.
Stop being an asshole, you're pathetic, you need serious mental help, maybe sending you back to that asylum would do the trick.

at that point, instagram taking away your abilities to report problematic content is basically their way of telling you to get off the platform/to put up or shut up and that they're going to protect problematic accounts instead of providing an unwelcoming environment for problematic communities to be in and they dont take accusations like that seriously. Regardless of whether people report things out of spite, pettiness, by mistake or misinterpretation of policy, that shouldn't matter one way or another on Instagram's part. They should trust their users to be able to raise genuine issues when reporting and Instagram doesnt. I think policies like this are going to be instagram and twitter's ultimate downfall.

And besides, it feels like a kind of empathy when you hear someone screaming in distress and feel like the screams are in your language. I remember a video from the ph where a chinese woman was pulled into a car by thugs, and until she was identified as a chinese mainlander Filipinos thought that she was saying "tulong" (tagalog word for help)

kid was screaming "baba" which translates to dad, more distressing would be that "baba" is sth usually kids call their fathers. It's sth along the lines of the chinese equivalent to daddy, which is why the screams where definitely from a child about 10 years old or maybe even younger than that
