This channel specialises in narrating scary true stories. They are mostly collected from Reddit forums and 2chan, as well as from viewer submissions. They are similar to other channels such as Mr Nightmare and Letsread! I also do the occasional creepy pasta and countdown list.
If you would like to hear more creepy, fear inducing stories then please show your support by liking and subscribing, and until next time, remember: the best things happen in the dark.

Back with an old-school upload. Can you taste the nostalgia?
I miss these, the new ones get old after a while.
No but I taste orange Fanta
Yesss lazy, I've been waiting for theseee
YES LAZY IVE BEEN WAITING SO LING FOR STORIES. FOR 1 ENTIRE YEAR YOU HAVE BEEN DOING ALL THESE CRYPTIC MYSTERIES. IM FINNALY HAPPY
YEAH BOI
That first story is horrific. The fact that if the mum wasn't there then the child would've probably been stolen and never seen again is the worst possible thing I can imagine for parents. It really gives a new perspective on the world. Things can change in an instant.
Goes to show you who has what power in this world
The fact that she was so confident because SHE KNEW the bystanders would immediately believe her and help her is fcking INSANE
Worst part is, it probably wasnt her first time. How many kids did she sell into some trafficking ring or worse
@@devinmay6881 The good thing tho is shes probably dead by now that was a while ago. But it makes me mad how much goes unreported or what people get away with
i remember the original reddit post. He left out details like the dad being injured and his conflict on whether to press charges on the mob for his medical bills. Also supposedly security or police got involved at the scene and tried to discourage the family from pressing charges, suggesting the father could have made the woman think HE was a kidnapper and she was trying to be a hero.
@@TJ-bu9zk Omg thats crazy I wish he left the details in it would have been better
I thought the second story was going to be another "real humanoid thing story" but damn that was just sad
Same here. Poor guy, seeing the door slammed in his face by people who couldn't understand that he needed help.
The worst thing is you can't even blame people as something like that would be extremely terrifying.
@@hououinkyouma3864 Yeah, it would be. I just can't even begin to imagine what that man must have felt when he kept on seeing the doors being slammed in his face... he must have felt really alone.
Sadly, it was probably the best he didn’t survive. If you were in such a state where suicide was an option, can you imagine what kinda of state you would be in after the failed attempt, where you blew your jaw off? Hopefully he has found some kind of peace.
@@spidey1z I hope so too
I actually heard the first story from the dads perspective in a radio show called The Moth and his telling of it is actually terrifying. They beat him ruthlessly and most refused to apologize to him for it. Not to mention he was actually severely injured during the who ordeal and the cops refused to take it seriously. He ended up needing stitches and shit and it shook him up pretty bad
he said it was his dad and him they tried to take
The cops are trash period and those people just didn't want to admit they were in the wrong I'd sue them all...
Do you happen to remember the episode?
Well this is what you get when democrats are in power. The whole “believe all women” movement they push for lol.
@@derekmerrilees6284 The comment is saying that the dad himself called a radio station and explained his side of the story (or a similar one)
The second story is horrifying, even compared to others... for the guy finding the suicidal man on his doorstep all bloody, and for the victim himself... I can't think about it too long
That was so sad.
Me neither... that story just made me feel super down, for the victim and for the people answering their doors and finding a misconfigured person all bloody and wheezy quietly, I’d feel guilt for the rest of my life knowing what was really happening and it not being some sort of monster or creature..
There's a French documentary about this guy who did the same thing because of loneliness and alcoholism. He didn't manage to kill himself but blasted his face into a mist, lost nearly all of it including his eyes ...
The documentary follows him during a normal day, poor guy can't function anymore and is kinda rejected in his village because of his face now. He's probably dead by now because he was already of moderately old age and the documentary was old.
If you don't speak English, it would be finding not founding.
@@charlieberry7562 get a grip
The second story broke my heart, man. Like I get how terrifying it must be to open your door in the middle of the night to such a grizzly sight but the poor wretch was just desperately looking for help. The fact that he had to go from door to door and nobody helped him is just so sad.
I feel horrible for the parents of Jaime from the third story.
Imagine letting your kid have a sleep over with his friends thinking nothing of it and then realising your kid was kidnapped from his home while everyone else slept in piece.
I wouldn't blame his parents if they thought it was his friend's mistake
That story is made up. No jamie missing with an open window.
@@xenonn7275 I'm just expressing how I personally would feel despite it being true or not
@@mohamedalismacktalk382 thats okay just in case now you know.

Does anyone have any links to this story in the news? I've been looking and have come up empty. I hate to be that guy, but this one doesn't seem real, just because it's hard to believe someone would share this story for entertainment.
@@kandicealexander4448 That's exactly what I was thinking. Zero mention of it in the news, zero mention of the kid's full name, if it really happened why wouldn't they say who this kid was and link news articles to it? A kid being pulled through a window at a sleepover never to be seen again would surely have made the news. And then just a "he was a good kid" comment sounds so fake. Also what kind of kids sleepover makes one kid go sleep in a dark scary room ALONE without their friends, that defeats the whole sleepover aspect.
That sleepover party is f*cked up
I'm going to tell my kids if they ever have a sleepover do not be alone
Never ever , my daughter is only 14 months and I literally only allow her sleep overs with my parents and sister
Regardless of whose house the sleepover is at, the kids should always be under the watch of at least one adult that all their parents trust.
But yea, I'm from an Indian family. 20+yo never been to a sleepover. Parents here be insanely strict.
T_T
Honestly, I even read of a case where a girl was kidnapped among her group of friends in a sleepover so... nothing is certain and it's extremely scary
Used to watch your old videos with my dad. He died February 18th from covid. I know he would have been pissed about the first story lol. Descansa en paz Papí 🕊
I'm so sorry that you lost your dad. My condolences to you and your family. ❤️
I’m so sorry about your Dad, Akio. 💔 Sending prayers, and blessings to you and your family.
I'm sorry to hear that. Hope you're doing okay.
Oh I am so damn sorry that happened to you :( god what a nightmare
Sorry for your loss . Hope you happiness
True story: my aunt dated a guy in the Mafia. He disappeared after he was caught laundering money. Most people assumed he was dead. A few years ago on Facebook my aunt's son got a friend request from him. He had gotten married and was living out in Vegas. He died sadly sometime last year from natural causes. But it's a pretty cool story nonetheless. It blew my dad's mind because he remembered the guy always carrying an Uzi hidden inside his coat.
Has anyone ever had a weird feeling when in certain towns? There’s a town in Illinois. A south suburb of Chicago. My wife has family in this town. We rarely go there, but whenever we do, we both get this feeling that I can only describe as a “Twilight Zone” feeling of dread. People seem to stare at us like, what are you doing here? It’s extremely creepy. As soon as we drive out of town, we’re fine. Anyone else experience this?
Yes! I’m from Illinois too (Northern Chicago suburbs) and I get that feeling a lot in the smaller Wisconsin towns, like East Troy. It’s like you’re an outsider and everybody knows it.
Damn! I have this feeling too! Illinois is a really weird place I have been more alerted than ever in this town really weird

The second story escalated so quickly from creepy to sad
if the story about tom and the harbor was posted on reddit, i bet all the comments were telling that guy to check his apartment for carbon monoxide poisoning. it actually seems kind of likely in this situation if he and his gf live together.
Agreed. And it definitely could be a case of Folie à deux, as the guy mentioned at the end of the story. All options are still distressing, though if it is CO2 I really hope he took care of that.
Whatever happened, I'm just glad they're now in the timeline where their friend could still be alive.
The comments should be telling him to stop misrepresenting his creepy pasta as true.
Literally the third story made me say “what!?” Out loud in shock. It’d be insane to all be in a group and suddenly in the morning your friend is just gone because of something you all decided.
Lol that story was made up for sure

Dang, that van/Australian story is one truly horrifying experience. One question: how is drinking water quickly better than sipping?
When you sip water, you're not actually getting any benefit from the water as your body can't properly hydrate with a sip. But if you actually take the water in normal drinks, you body can actually hydrate. Don't gulp it, but don't sip it. Just drink it like you normally would because you'll be alive longer.

It's just shared psychosis.
Valmiro yes but it’s an interesting psychological event to utilize through movies, the connection to reality makes it more interesting actually
nah the one where the due gets taking to the outback and L4d is a good one havent since anything like that
The story about the man identifying his missing friend sounds like it could be a case of folie a deux. Which is basically a shared psychosis between 2 or more people and especially common with close family members. My theory would be that he was interviewed by the detectives but the stress of the situation caused a temporary psychosis between him and his girlfriend where they kept feeding off of, and reaffirming each other about the situation, but learning of the CCTV footage caused them to snap out of it.
I didn't know shared psychosis was a thing. I was thinking they both went to another dimension of some sort lol
Good point, I heard 'glitch in the matrix' and I nearly skipped the story lol

@@extinctoart You shouldn't, most are obviously fake or can be expained but who's to say there really isn't a glitch in the matrix?
@@captainquagmire859 whose to say there is?
If you go around thinking like that, you might as well believe everything you hear.
Most are obviously fake.
Until there’s any real evidence to point to it, the very few that aren’t obviously fake are just better told stories.
It’s like UFOs.
Virtually all are explainable, and the number of hard to explain ones hasn’t increased even in this age where everyone has HD video cameras in their pockets.
The small number that are hard to explain are just like all the others, we just happen not to have enough info to explain them in these few cases
"It's like a mechanical voice message." God, I can't believe I'm so old that the answering machines I grew up using need to be explained to younger people.
When I was a kid in the late 80s and early 90s my grandparents still used a rotary phone in their house, and there was a small TV in the den that literally had the channel knob attached to the front of the TV. It would have been analog so I'm sure that TV doesn't even work anymore, since everything is all digital now.
@@tekbarrier kids today will never know what UHF/VHF were lol. I remember the first remote control I ever saw way back in the mid 80s. My grandfather bought it. It was a box attached to the tv via a long wire and had the 2 dials on it. One for UHF and the other for VHF of course. I remember thinking it was the coolest thing ever. You could lay in bed and change channels! Lol

When I worked in 911, I got a call incredibly similar to the story about the man who shot himself in the face. Except I got the call from a neighbor who saw the man outside of his residence. The victim had attempted to end it via shotgun at an unknown location, lost the lower part of his face, and just drove himself home in that condition. That second story is just sad. Just imagine thinking your life sucks so much that you feel like you have to end your life and then when you try to, you realize at your last moments you've made a mistake and can't reverse it.
that second story really got me, I feel so bad for that man looking for help but kept getting doors slammed in his face
Imagine being the maintenance man, knowing it’s very unlikely anyone will find you before the vacation. Calling for help and not knowing if anyone’s even around to hear you. *shivers*
That and you hope the man from the second story was in shock and didn’t feel pain. Dang Lazy got some really good ones for this video.
As a father of two infants, and extremely paranoid by nature, I've run that particular scenario in my head many times, especially being a white man with obviously minority children, I know how easily the right person could pull that off. As an army man too I know I could easily overpower such a kidnapper. Not so likely, however, to overpower the mob of sympathizers converging on the scene. And I would never in the life of the Earth trust law enforcement to track down my child. So there's only one way a scenario like this will end; you attempt to snatch my child out of my arms, you will never get the chance to do it again.
I feel you, not many things frighten me but I could never imagine losing a child like that. Absolutely horrifying.
Hope you and your two kids are doing well mate, they got a good dad looking after them for sure
That's the only proper response. A bullet will do more to stop a woman like that than any court ever would.
That is such a horrifying thought, I hope you and your children are safe.
What you do is, before the mob attacks you, grab hold of her hair and hold tight. Gouge out her eyes if you can. Make it so she _can't_ leave. I imagine it would be terrifying to let go of your child in that moment, but you need to handle the threat. "The best defense is a good offense," as they say.

I love these so much!
@@katebarker8410 Don't forget Unit 522 :).
I have become rather uninterested in Lets Read (as much as I love their intros) and Be Busta, as they just have far too many of the 'usually tiny, paranoid woman/girl who is sooo scared of some older and/or ugly man making sexual comments at her' stories. The whole 'LetsNotMeet' shite.
Those and criptid stories just do not interest me at all. My favourites are cult stories, or true crime stories, or police, dispatchers, first responders, and doctors/nurses giving stories about what they have seen (as horrific as those realities are, it still good to know).
@@MirrenTheDragonKnight Meee too! I love the truck driver stories too! The police, security guard, and gas station stories are my fave!
Omg! Yes! Please make more of these- I rewatch all of the old “true scary stories” from 5 + years ago on a literal monthly basis. Please never delete those! ❤️👍
That first story sounds extremely familiar, besides the customers feeling bad for restraining the father.
Yes it does
I've heard it too somewhere...
Plus, when a relative of mine caught a thieve, she made a huge show too and it got really nasty...
I heard a similar story, but instead of being remorseful, they blamed the dad for "looking suspecious"
Some even believe despite the mom confirming it, he was lying
Yeah, I've heard it somewhere else too. Can't remember where at the moment. The father had some busted ribs I think and the couple didn't pursue charges against the guy who kicked him on the ground.
It’s from Steven D animation
The thumbnail looks like me when I'm numbed at the dentist.

Anyone else want to see Lazy Masquerade and Shrouded Hand fight each other like Mel and Gary at the end of Lethal Weapon?
“Luckily for me, I was able to Falcon kick and punch my way to victory.” Lmao 😂

“Show me your moves!” - Captain Falcon
I read your comment EXACTLY when he read those words. That’s creepy as hell.
The falcon kick that saved his life, for real...
@@Jolis_Parsec Damn, I feel bad for OP, you got heart'ed by Lazy but OP didn't :(
YES LAZY IVE BEEN WAITING SO LING FOR STORIES. FOR 1 ENTIRE YEAR YOU HAVE BEEN DOING ALL THESE CRYPTIC MYSTERIES. IM FINNALY HAPPY
Right!? The scary stories were what made me sub in the first place
Im at 5 years watching this channel you got me through some tough times lazy 💜
The girlfriend in the Tom story is probably also imaginary and the guy went completely nuts.
I thought about that possibility too lol. Maybe Tom never existed either 😂
Plot twist: The guy telling the story was named _Joker._
OR they're in an alternative dimension
Or she never actually read/saw the news and just went off the bf's word and then when they went to look for proof there was none and because the guy was nuts
On the forest story: the Hunter was watching some Kevin Hart stand up comedy on his log with his deer 🦌 about to have a feast of a dinner laughing his ass off, then a man trespasses on his property , Frightens him so he gave a few warning shots .
I never get over how good ur outro animation is. When im just listening, i always stop what im doing to watch the outro dude.
The nostalgia is real! I remember finding your channel in the summer (July - August) of 2015 and I have been watching ever since. Just seeing the title of this video brought me back into the moment of listening to your videos for the first time ever and made me feel warm with nostalgia. Thanks for making these videos for all these years Lazy, hands down the best horror channel on RUclips.
35 whole minutes of Papa Lazy. We are truly blessed.

That Jaimie story pissed me off. Who excludes a friend during a sleepover for losing, making them spend time alone while all the other friends hang out? And then to say "we were young, it was an innocent dare." Whatever helps you sleep at night bud.
Did you ever go to sleepovers as a kid? They make dares like that all the time, and young boys aren't known for sympathy or compassion. Also, the storyteller was clearly just stating he felt guilty, but shouldn't because no one realistically could have ever predicted such a terrible outcome.
@@ferratorr1033 "young boys aren't known for sympathy and compassion" is literally the most privileged excuse i've ever heard lmao. Thats not a statistic, just an excuse for young boys who lack common sense to continue doing so.
@@Strawhatttchopper In what way is that, by definition, “privileged”. Also, women are routinely known to be more empathic, and children lack empathy that adults have. Often times not developing higher levels until adolescence, if you want facts. There are plenty of studies that show boys develop it at a different and slower rate. So yes, it’s not only possible but highly likely that in this story they were unlikely to show much, if any sympathy. Furthermore, you mention “common sense”. As if again, anyone thought making someone sleep in a separate room was going to result in anything terrible or even bad.
I tried finding the story online and found nothing so im starting to think its made up
@@Strawhatttchopper
I'm imagining you prolly have no friends and never attended a sleepover. It's really not that cruel of an event on it's own, in isolation of retrospect. Was it a mistake? Yeah. But we all make mistakes, especially as kids. Their actions dont deserve the weight of what happened. Only one person is responsible for what happened, and that's the psycho who climbed in the window.
Stop being a douche.
"Hm, I wonder if Lazy has a new video fir me to fall asleep to"
THE TIMING IS IMMACULATE
The story about the maintenance guy and the mysterious life saving phone call sounds like its straight out of a "beyond belief: fact or fiction?" Episode lol
Now THAT's nostalgic.
Oh wow I absolutely loved that show!
Right?! In Season 2 Epidsode 3 was a similar one, called "The Chalkboard" (The deaf-mute Janitor of a School is trapped in the Basement and leaves an appeal for help via telekineses on a Chalkboard)
@@elstotzo5643 sort of a late response but that was the exact episode I had in mind when making this comment lmao
A bit late to the party, but such a "mysterious phonecall" story actually happened at the Eschede Train Accident in Germany.
Directly after the crash, the family of one of the passengers kept getting phone calls from his mobile phone but there wasn't anyone at the other side. When they hung up, it didn't take long for another call to reach them. Police used the calls to track his position and his corpse was then discovered in the trainwreck. Why the call was mysterious is that the doctors at the scene deduced from his injuries that he died immediately on impact, so he couldn't have been the one calling. And even more mysterious, even though they were able to find his position via the phone calls, his mobile phone was never found and never recovered.
It's a nice change of pace to hear him finish off every creepy video with "expand dong"-so thank you to whoever's supporting him with that Patreon account
The mom being there really saved them that’s scary if she wasn’t there they’d be gone with her by time they’d figure it out
I've been watching this channel for years now...the nostalgia that hit from this 😭😭

@@thisismynamepal you mean M Night Shyamalan?
Dads have an autopilot as well. It's called berserker mode. Glad to hear the first story ended well.
That was screwed up to no end. I mean, she probably did this before which is the worst part. She'd get away with it too back then if the mom wasn't there. Hell, even today some would probably get away with it until cameras are looked at and they pick it up, IF there are any and actually work and aren't just there for, as I and others put it, "decoration." If I was the one being forced down and that was my kid being taken, those bystanders would regret it.

That raycon story was terrifying
This video was a BANGER! On point Lazy! That supposed true story with the person who tried to end their life with a shotgun and only blew off their jaw made me feel so sad for the person trying to get help door after door with no one wanting to help him understandingly of course, that is awful...
Not really believable to be honest.

I feel like my cat will protect me when these stories scare me. I took care of his mom when she was pregnant, and kept him for myself because he came out head-to-toe black.
I was worried no one would want him. But I’m not superstitious. My little night panther. 🥺 He’s 3 now.
Black cats are the best to pet but their personalities are always strange like they know they're black, like want nothing to do with you all the time and then they plop right down beside you on the couch when they finally tire of being antisocial
