I am greatly distressed by this case, and others I've heard of. I am a serving church warden in the Church of England. The amount of training and certification we volunteers have to undertake to serve in the church is totally wasted by a hierarchy that does not or cannot uphold state law never mind any moral law. I had exactly the same in the care sector when I was employed. When the standards reach an invisible ceiling it goes not further. The first abuse case I can recall taking notice of was the death of Maria Colwell in my mid teens, in the early 70s. Lessons will be learned was the catch phrase then. WE ARE STILL WAITING. Please pray for all the victims, and those affected. Please also pray for those in authority to please also take the responsibility required. 🙏🙏🙏

After meeting with police chiefs Ch4 decided to bury the story because they thought it might lead to anti-Muslim feeling. For 10 years Ch4 sat on that story knowing full well what was going on there. During that time numerous lives were destroyed. All victims need to be heard and protected, not just the ones that Ch 4 chooses.
My prep school headmaster caned me and others dozens of times, so hard that we bled. It only stopped for me when I ran away. This was commonly done to 7-9 YR old boys in the 1960s..i should add, this was a Christian insitution where we were required to pray, read aloud from the bible and sing hymns, all under the forceful direction of this one sadistic man. The beatings were ritualised , with set phrases and cane selection. Boys would display their cuts and bruises afterwards, in the changing room. After being s assaulted age 12, by a church babysitter, ive never felt anything but suspicion towards religionists
