  • This has without a doubt been one of the best experiences of my life so far. It's a little strange to be an international student now but it has given me a newfound appreciation for the international students I've known back in Australia. Here's to the adventure.

I am excited for your journey even though I don't know you cause I've been in your position in my 20s as well by leaving my own country (Korea) for another country (Australia). The excitement, the adrenaline rush, new experiences and so on...those can not be bought by money. Your video just reminded me that memory.
English is not an official language in Korea, it is just one of foreign languages even though it is def the most important foreign language to Koreans. As you already experienced, there definitely will be moments with a language barrier but most of native English speakers in Korea don't really have an extreme difficulty in Korea. As long as you try to communicate politely, people will help you. Using translation apps or Google translation etc., might be a help especially with older people cause most young people in big cities would understand what you are saying.
Just remember, so many non-Korean survived well in Korea, so you would, too.
I just want to wish you a great luck and welcome to Korea! : )

B, that's means a lot to me, I wanted to go somewhere that would challenge me. Korea has been the perfect blend of difficulty but also support when I needed it (even from complete strangers, Koreans and other foreigners alike). Thanks for your comment, I'm glad to have you here
