Well, the canon status of this "Vegeta's search for Goku" may be questionable as it is just anime filler (and filler usually is not considered part of the official main story).

Was more likely going to question him.Vegeta already acknowledges Goku as the strongest fighter in the universe in this very video (and he didn't even seem particularly broken up about that fact either -- perhaps because he was still thrilled that Frieza was dead). Fighting him would be pointless until after he learns how to become a Super Saiyan.
What the hell is it with everyone exclaiming that vegeta used Goku’s name when referring to him? It makes sense here. Goku would never introduce himself as Kakarot to anyone he comes across, so it makes sense Vegeta would search for him by using the name Goku himself always uses when he meets new people or with his friends.
I've seen this enough times to understand why he used his earth name here but still find it interesting being one of those rare instances he mentions it making point of him primarily using his Saiyan name

The odd thing is Vegeta is actually being very merciful here. His old self would have massacred this entire planet for no reason. But now he only killed them because they attacked him and didn't even kill the guy at the end until he pointed his gun at him. Baby steps

Vegeta’s character development was so amazing and subtle
he was probably in a good mood. goku became a super saiyan thereby proving that it exists and vegeta has the potential to become one, and frieza, the guy who killed his race was finally defeated by a saiyan.
It's entirely possible the line about them starting the fight is a botched English translation. Do with that what you will.
The voice acting of the alien really struck me, especially that blood curdling scream he bellowed out

Personally this is the downside of anime. Their worlds and characters are never as fleshed out as we would like. Like compare space themes animes to star wars or all might(whom im kinda obsessed over right now)to comic book super heroes.
Well that would mean that they’d have to come up with more designs of planets and characters, get more voice actors and some kind of plot for them to go out into space

db super is bad.
That shouldn't have made a difference, in the namek saga goku could block freakin meteor shower flying at him with his aura alone, without the intent of blocking. IN the buu saga gohan simply deflected bullets with his finger tips, and low level energy attacks from blasters shouldn't be enough to even harm goku as he is right now. That's why db super sucks. It took the inconsistency if dbz and amplified it by 100x.
Cali God Haha I understand that concept very well, In fact with that concept in mind as a kid, when I was witnessing dbz it was awe inspiring that when goku was standing with his back turned talking to someone, then getting hit by rocks the size of meteors, having him turn around and say "huh?" then turn back around as if nothing happened, casually continuing his conversation not knowing that something had even hit him at all.
Even as a kid he could tank a bullet to the face while being full on relaxed and that was before the ridiculous power ups, in his adult form and that counts for almost all of the z fighters, they could tank nearly anything even while relaxed, unless the blast was strong enough (strong enough became a thing that was specifically induced by someone who was powerfull enough to create such a blast with force to harm anyone with a high power level)
Natural explosions (explosions not caused by a fighter in the dbz universe is what I mean), basically became harmless, and unless a person had a powerfull enough energy level he wouldn't be even able to scratch someone of goku's level. THIS was dragon ball z, they showed you the grand scale that these characters reached, in dragon ball Z they were portrayed as true gods ironically opposed to dragonball super. Super feels like a ridiculous downgrade in all the fighting scenes, it's just "oh but I could also destroy the universe btw, jjust saying".
I don't recall Goku getting hit by meteors and not noticing. I do recall Krillin casually throwing a small rock at him and Goku screaming and clutching his head in pain.
Travalon Yep that rock to the head was something that we call ' filler' , all those days waiting till the cell games were filler (except the trainingscenes). Rewatch the entire show and you will understand what I mean about goku tanking shit even when he sleeps.
Db super is pure trash compared to dbz and nothing changes that.
Thanks to Frieza, almost everyone in the Frieza Force think that Saiyans are a weak, pathetic race unworthy of mention, their legends of being a race of warriors nothing but lies and rumors. Frieza had decades to pump out his racist propaganda, so that even his actual defeat at the hands of a Saiyan won't be so easily believed. It works to Vegeta's advantage since he could easily catch his enemies off-guard with his power, but he still hates being looked down on by inferiors for the simple fact that he's a Saiyan. I say the Frieza Force remnants deserve to be wiped out by Vegeta.
Sounds like a certain race of humans who live on this planet.

I honestly believe that Vegeta really had no intentions on fighting them and he was actually willing to let the last guy live.
Vegeta has always shown some level of restraint. There's no value in killing things much weaker than him, so really he was just proving a point. Then when the last one threatened to kill him, Vegeta already knew the dude had nothing in value, so again... to prove a point. I love stuff like that.

Not in the actual script. In the actual Japanese version, Vegeta killed them no mercy and had no intention of sparing anybody.

This ain’t filler to me, I love watching vegeta’s character development. This portion you call filler is literally the process of vegeta going from cut-throat villain to bitter anti-hero. It’s actually important
You know why. Because here the character does what he would normally do and thats y its relatable.
This is actually interesting because Vegeta went around disassembling freezas army after his death
I like the fact that Frieza's empire still moves on despite him being dead. It makes sense. Even though there might be some destabilization, with well thought out propaganda and restriction of rumors of his Frieza's death things would still move on in a logistics sense. Who knows how vast Frieza's empire is in the universe, but it seems as though all the heavy hitters like the Ginyu force are no longer around to enforce rule in a wide area. It would be fun to see oppressed planets coming to the truth of Frieza's death and beginning to fight back knowing his enforcement is spread so thin
In resurrection f that's pretty much what was happening his soldier couldn't keep u with all the rebellions in the empire

I find it very fascinating that the Dodo Alien did not blame Vegeta for the death of his people, but rather was angry at Frieza for ordering him to do it (or at least he believed until Vegeta told him he was doing it on his own accord). It really shows how everyone, even the soldiers to an extent were victims under Frieza's terreny, the Dodo Alien probably did similar things under Frieza's command, so he doesn't blame Vegeta since he's just the messenger.

@@Sai4651 ya its common. we learn its freeza force armor instead of saiyan as well. but there are variations and different types. like bardock style. then colors also. i think low levels wear the black armor. while vegeta always wears white. cuz hes elite rank. idk i read this awhile back in dbz era.

I know it's a common version of armor for those in Frieza's forces, but it's so weird seeing so many people with that look besides Vegeta (I know Trunks, Goku, and Gohan had it but still).
I love the actual stupidity of this filler scene of Vegeta trying to find Goku in space. Like...did you just hit up every random planet asking if you'd seen an orange-clad Saiyan?

Vegeta’s development should be noted here. Prior to, Vegeta would have slaughtered them without a second thought. Here after his interactions with the Z-Fighters on Namek, we see that he didn’t actually start the conflict in the first place.

He’s searching for Goku. And since most people know him as Goku. He has to say Goku
Man ive been on such a KAI kick lately that i almost forgot that the filler is actually cool. I think KAI moves DBZ along better as a story as a whole and more consistently but the filler portions had alot of cool scenes like this one.
That makes sense because he then says "Kakarot" again at the end of the video. Vegeta isn't stupid, he just prefers calling Goku by his Saiyan name.
