Most of the people in Poland buy the "Bizon Grass" vodka not to drink "just as it is" but mixed with apple juice and spices like cinnamon. The one, you had before probably tasted before, was already flavored, this one is a DIY thing. ;)

"Krówka" candy is toffee but with milk. The most interesting thing about them is that when they are fresh, they are sticky and when they "matured" a little, they are crunchy. When it comes to beer, the most interesting ones are Grodziskie, which is unique in the world (if you like the taste of smoke), and various Baltic porters, especially Imperium Prunum, which a few years ago was considered the best in the world.
Im Polish and live abroad for over 14 years now, when I see you eating Prince Polo and Grześki I wanna cry, they are super simple but super good, and sometimes I travel across the city I live in just to buy some of the familiar tastes from Polish shop.
Wow I bet you miss Poland!! We thought they were so good, simple but delicious. That is great you can get them somewhere in your city now! Thanks for watching friend :)
Żubrówka, the Bison Grass vodka is usually served as a drink in a 1:2 ratio with apple juice. At a party, it is best to mix 0.5 liters of Żubrówka and 1 liter of apple juice into a jug. You can season it with cinnamon or lime. You can also add fresh mint leaves.
These puffs Prazynki (prazhinkee) were thd only snacks in 1960ties. I loved them, but then there were mo other options for kids. Enjoy guys, you're the best❤❤❤
As for the wafer battle, for me it's Grzeski no 1, Prince Polo no 2, Princessa no 3. However I liked Prince Polo more years ago when I was little, it seemed less sweet. I just don't know if it actually tastes different or is it just me 🙂. There is also Teatralny which is more peanutty and Marco Polo which tastes to me more like Prince Polo from years ago. Enjoy!
Polish flavors are strange because we have been accustomed to them since childhood. I really like the "sękacz" and "marzipan" bars and all the chocolate pralines from Wedel and Wawel. When it comes to snacks, I like kabanos sausages, all of them, the drier the better, salty crackers and all types of mountain cheese.
Kabanosy you had were 2 different types of meat, thin ones were turkey, the thicker ones were pork. Definitely should have went with Krówka candy version. As for żubrówka, or any vodka really, gotta drink it chilled (not with ice inside, just put it in the fridge for few hours). And you should definitely try Ptasie Mleczko and go for more local beer brands.
If you like caramel and want some alcohol mixed in, I highly suggest getting a bottle of Chopin Salted Caramel vodka. It resembles Irish Cream or Bailey's in consistency and is only 18% ABV, but by sweet sunny jesus, it is delicious. Drink as is or use it as a coffee creamer or pour it over ice cream. If you try Ptasie Mleczko, I suggest caramel or mango, especially chilled in the fridge.
The "prince polo" is the one and only, always the same (they introduced a different one for a while some time ago but I don't see it anywhere now) The "grześki" has two flavors. The original and hazelnut. The "princessa" used to be coconut flavor with white chocolate. They added a lot of varieties some time ago. The "zebra" version is suppose to be a healthier one, less calories, without chocolate. Nestle bought a Polish company called "Goplana" original creator of "princessa".
Try out vodka "Soplica orzech laskowy" you can drink with milk :P it taste like milk desert "Monte". Restaurant do their vodka by them self at least those good one.
You must running for like a one year to burn all that callories which you intaked (or at least walk by mountains). :) Grześki is the diminutive and plural form from the name of Grzegorz (in English Gregory is similar name so it is like small Gregorries). Prażynki means the roasted ones. Wiejskie ziemniaczki is like country/rural potatoes with butter and salt. Okocim is the city near Cracow (about 1 hour on the south from Cracow) where this beer is made. Warka is the city in the south of Warsaw where this beer is made. Żubrówka means the vodka with bison grass (żubr is similar to bison creature). Someone telling that it is made from żubr but this is not true. ;-) Rectified rye spirit is mixed with a decoction of the herbgrass (latin Hierochloe Odorata), a species of grass commonly called bison grass. Krówki means little cows (the candies which are made from milk).
10:28 the chips are butter and salt flavour... it says in Polish „masło z solą” which literally means „butter with salt”, and „Wiejskie ziemniaczki” is just „rustic potatoes”...one of my favourites ❤the other flavours are: smoked bacon (wędzonka) , dill (koperek), spring onion (cebulka) , paprika (papryka), sour cream & onion (śmietanka z cebulką) and lumberjack’s cauldron (kocioł drwala)
If i my sugest about chips, you gota try some orignal polish chips i see it on your clip. PRZYSNACKI they are on two version potato or corn so choose yours😊
I recommend You try "pączki" (plural and it means donuts, singular is pączek) from a small bakery, those are better than in a big shop. The most "original" is "pączek z różą"- donut with rose (jam). But there are a lot of different flavors- toffee, salt caramel, chocolate, advocate, and so on, and so forth.
We had a fresh warm pączek at a bakery in Krakow and it was so delicious! For sure better than the one in the store :) thanks so much for the recommendation!
@@JacobandJennyTravel there is a chain of bakery's, Ithink Stara Pączkarnia was the name, when you can see whole process of making and baking of those Polish donuts, and you can buy them hot and steamy. One of interesting is one with advocate flavor, same as alcohol it was named after. Glazed, powdered, with sprinkles. So many combinations to choose.
Omg the beer and vodka test...you should reallyyyyyy ask Poles what to choose from 😂 You have lost this in a country of beer and vodka XD Try polish honey beers, especialy "Piwo na miodzie gryczanym" from Manufaktura Piwna. A little Polish spelling lesson 😂Letters "ó" and "u" are both spelled in Polish same as "oo" in English (like in words 'moon' or 'zoo'). "W" is always spelled as English "v" (we don't have "v" in our alphabet. But we have "ł" and it is spelled as English "w"). So the sweat "krówka" is spelled something like [kroovka] while "żubrówka" would be [joobroovka] but with "j" spelled kinda like in French (like in "bonjour") but little "harder" if it make sense. Cheers :)

That vodka you bought goes EXTREMELY WELL with apple juice as cocktail, you won’t notice vodka 😅 Also you should buy some of the small vodka -size 4oz FLAVOURED ONES (comes in all flavours you can imagine)
@@JacobandJennyTravelyou can try SASKA KAWA(coffe vodka) + mix with milk = nutella flavour But my favourite are hazelnut, cherry, grapefruit or lemon. Must try while in Poland
Krówka is fudge. You should definitely try the actual candy. Also vodka should be chilled to the point it's thick then you won't taste the alcohol that much. Don't think vodka in the restaurant was weaker it was probably properly chilled. Also the beer you've chosen is unfortunately quite mediocre, I recommend some kraft Polish beers. There are so many options, each big city has at least a couple of breweries or at least restaurants with tap kraft beers. About that donut you had- it's actually not really a genuine Polish one. Try a pączek from a bakery.
That is great to know. We chilled the vodka but not to that point, we will have to do that next time! We had a delicious fresh and warm paczek from a bakery in Krakow and it was amazing! Thanks so much for the information friend :)
hey guys :) next time you get żubrówka, mix it with apple juice (e.g. one portion of żubrówka and two portions of apple juice) and it'll taste like apple pie :)
I have some comments about the donut. What you bought at the supermarket is a very bad version of a donut. It's best to buy a donut in a bakery or donut shop ;)
I wonder if you actually had wódka on the food tour or if it was a nalewka. Nalewka is very popular alkohol you make at home by combining sugar + alcohol + X. That X bieng lemons, cherries, chesnuts... many diffrent flavors of nalewki.
Żubrówka is currently a brand of many vodkas. You drank classic Żubrówka. This is vodka for cocktails. It owes its taste, color and aroma to the endemic bison grass, which grows only in the Białowieża Forest. These beers are not my cup of tea. I will give you some interesting facts about Warka beer. Warka is a small town where General Pulawski(Puławski) was born (his portrait is placed on cans of this beer brand). Pulawski is a Polish American hero who died at the Battle of Saratoga. He was a hermaphrodite, recent examination of his remains showed.
Shortbread cookies hmm I don't know here you eat them, bc yes typical scotish ale more hard but in poland they are usually crumbly and we call them butter cookies, but we are very picky about brands, etc. So you getting first you see was like very 50/50 change they would be good, and I wpuld almost say with brand you took it was like 20% they would be good 😋 it is not that it is band brand but... And Margaretki are name of this ones with jam, but cheaper brands have this hard gummy jam it is usually indicator if cookie is good.
Hi there. I appricate you tasted my native products. And I would like to share with you my point. Frankly speaking I have never seen and heard about most of those items which once you got into your mouth but I guess you had fun. We have more delicious food. @@JacobandJennyTravel Please do not worry about your polish. This language just look scary but it is not hard one if you know a lot of words. But english language is so complicated for me
"Krówki" are polish fudge so Yes you dud mistake uf you were recommended "Krówki" hmm simply you should take both things if you wanted chco, bc it had only name but it isn't in any way related in taste... Hmm about Kabanos hmm I think the darker ones are smoked and this thin aren't, kids usually like this thin one. And yeah there us a lot favors and meat, there are also plant based, I don't like them, but there are people that do.
OH MY GOD, of course it was a mistake to choose "krówka flavoured" chocolate over krówki itself!!!! You HAVE TO go back and try the actual thing! Krówki are a type of a fudge candy, they don't contain chocolate, the thing you ate was just a chocolate inspired by krówki, a variation on the theme of krówka, if you will 😛
Oh my gosh, how much did you all cost together, it would make me faint. My favorite alcohol is "Wyborowa" and "Żubrówka" vodka with weed, which gives a specific aroma, but it must be chilled. There is no "Ptasie młeczko" from Wawel, the Milka company makes a similar one but they are terribly sweet. "Pawełek" bar with alcohol. "Krówki" candies are not the same as before, they were better in the past. When buying Chips, you need to translate because there are lots of different flavors, it's the same with vodka and beer. Taste Polish cakes, cheesecakes, poppy seed cakes, apple cakes, strawberry cakes with jelly, etc. in a restaurant or confectionery shop.
@@JacobandJennyTravel Polish national drink. The most famous combination is Żubrówka with apple juice (“tatanka” or more often “apple pie”). For every 50 ml of vodka, pour 150 ml of juice.
Princessa Zebra is called Zebra because it looks like it looks. Princessa have different kinds of taste, like coconut, hazel, white chocolate, milky, classic. You just randomly took probably the least popular kind of Princessa. Personally I do not like treats with cocoa, except 65%+ chocolate, especially if it is called Krówki. And what you got was not Krówki at all but a chocolate tablet with taste that try to emulate taste of Krówki. And krówki with chocolate are not traditional Krówki and mostly they are ingot shaped treats that are just called such. Best Krówki in my opinion are those with butter. As for those ingot shaped, like those from Wawel or Wedel, then salty carmel is the only taste that is acceptable/taste good for me.

Also you should buy some of the small vodka -size 4oz FLAVOURED ONES (comes in all flavours you can imagine)
We do need to try all the flavored ones! That sounds amazing!! Thank you for the recommendation :)
@@JacobandJennyTravelyou can try SASKA KAWA(coffe vodka) + mix with milk = nutella flavour
But my favourite are hazelnut, cherry, grapefruit or lemon. Must try while in Poland
Vodka needs to be chilled. And Zubrówka is well-liked with apple juice and cinnamon.
Oh, what kind of juice, you drink vodka pure and iced and that's it. Some of us won't drink it in two sticks....😂
That is good to know! Thanks for the information :)
You need to try Soplica Pigwowa vodka, you will like it
We do!! Thanks so much for the recommendation :)
That sounds so delicious! We will! Thank you so much for watching and we hope you will continue to watch our travels :) Merry Christmas friend🎄
After eating that you can go back to Morskie Oko :D
Hahaha so true!!🙌🏼😂
i prefer prince polo, princessa is so dry, Grześki means sins, so i agree with Jenny's rating
Woohoo!! Haha! Thanks for watching :)
Are You now? "Warka Beer" ?Warka it's the city when was born Kazimierz Puławski (Pulaski)
That is so interesting!! Thanks for the information :)
I have some comments about the donut. What you bought at the supermarket is a very bad version of a donut. It's best to buy a donut in a bakery or donut shop ;)
Haha! We did try a fresh warm one in our Polish food tour in Krakow! It was delicious :) thanks for watching!
I wonder if you actually had wódka on the food tour or if it was a nalewka. Nalewka is very popular alkohol you make at home by combining sugar + alcohol + X. That X bieng lemons, cherries, chesnuts... many diffrent flavors of nalewki.
Yeah, or they could try some flavoured vodka, e.g. some flavour of Soplica. There are those tiny bottles available in so many flavours even hazelnut!
Ooo so interesting!! That sounds delicious. We will have to try that. Thanks for watching :)
That is so all interesting!! We need to make a cocktail out of the vodka! Thank you for sharing all that wonderful information! Cheers friend :)
"Never drink żubrówka straight; only mix it with 100% apple juice."
That sounds delicious! Thanks for the recommendation :)
you drank "żołądkową" in a restaurant. you bought a 'żubrówka' in the store. I don't know if you noticed there is a blade of grass in the bottle.
Ahh that is good to know!! I did notice the grass in there and thought it was so interesting! Thanks for watching :)
Lo❤e Poland
It’s amazing 🙌🏼
Shortbread cookies hmm I don't know here you eat them, bc yes typical scotish ale more hard but in poland they are usually crumbly and we call them butter cookies, but we are very picky about brands, etc. So you getting first you see was like very 50/50 change they would be good, and I wpuld almost say with brand you took it was like 20% they would be good 😋 it is not that it is band brand but...
And Margaretki are name of this ones with jam, but cheaper brands have this hard gummy jam it is usually indicator if cookie is good.
Ahhh that is really interesting!! The jam was like hard gummy haha. Thanks so much for the information friend :)
7.30.-We drink this vodka with apple juice and ice
That sounds so delicious! We will try that! Thank you :)
You are so funny❤
Thank you friend :)
I think they serve u was some drink, beacuse this is oryginal zóbrówka, add little bit cinamon and apple juce and U got mega drink :D
That sounds so delicious!! Thanks for the recommendation friend :)
You should try polish milk chocolate Goplana and white Michałki Wawel 😊❤
Sounds delicious!! We will give it a try! Thanks so much for the recommendation :)
I agree with Jacob princessa is a winner 😁
It is the best!! 🙌🏼
Hi there. I appricate you tasted my native products. And I would like to share with you my point. Frankly speaking I have never seen and heard about most of those items which once you got into your mouth but I guess you had fun. We have more delicious food. Good for you. 😊 I think got what I meant even though I am not native English speaker. 😊
Your English seems incredible! Much better than our Polish haha!! All the snacks were so delicious. Thanks so much for watching and Merry Christmas friend 🎄
@@JacobandJennyTravel Please do not worry about your polish. This language just look scary but it is not hard one if you know a lot of words. But english language is so complicated for me
Jenny's right, Prince Polo it's definitely number one.
It is delicious!! Thanks for watching :)
You have to drink Żubrowka with apple juice
That is good to know! Thanks for the information :)
That makes sense. We really liked the darker one. Thank you for your comment friend :)
Krówka z Wawel spróbujcie, pozdrawiam 🤗 a żubrówkę piję się dobrze z sokiem jabłkowym
Both of those sound amazing!! Thank you for the suggestions :)
@@JacobandJennyTravel 🤗😘
Try Polish cookies Delicje and Jeżyki
Thanks so much for the recommendation :)
OH MY GOD, of course it was a mistake to choose "krówka flavoured" chocolate over krówki itself!!!! You HAVE TO go back and try the actual thing! Krówki are a type of a fudge candy, they don't contain chocolate, the thing you ate was just a chocolate inspired by krówki, a variation on the theme of krówka, if you will 😛
Oh no hahah!! We will go back and try it. Thanks for the information!!
You got one of the worst beer available 😢 I suggest żywiec białe or piwo na miodzie z maliną (raspberry and honey beer) from browar jabłonowo
Oh no!! We will have to try those. Thanks for the recommendations :)
I Think you had "Żołądkowa Gorzka" at restaurant
That is great to know!! Thank you for the information friend :)
That is so interesting!! I think it was all around $20 USD. Thanks so much for the great recommendations :)
Ptasie mleczko waniliowe "wedel" recom.
Thanks so much for the recommendation :)
Hope you guys refrigerated the vodka & beer because you don't just drink alcohol at room temp in Poland.
We did :) cheers friend!
Jak KRÓWKA to z Milanówka.. 🥰🥰
That is good to know!! Thanks so much :)
I beg you, try "Ptasie Mleczko" - it is the most delicious sweet in the world. I promise!
We will keep an eye out for it!! Thank you for the recommendation :)
I am sorry, you did not try krowki or ptasie mleczko?? I am so disappointed.
Oh no I am sorry friend haha! We will try them soon :)
it's not cheese on this chips :D it's butter with salt flavour
Right!! So delicious 🤤 thanks for watching!!
Bison vodka only mix aple juice.
We need to try that!! Thanks for the recommendation :)
@@JacobandJennyTravel Polish national drink. The most famous combination is Żubrówka with apple juice (“tatanka” or more often “apple pie”). For every 50 ml of vodka, pour 150 ml of juice.
With that "Kabanosy' the second one are made out of turkey not pork
Ahh that is good to know!! Thank you for the information :)
"indyk" or "z indyka" means - turkey meat and you was close thinking that this could be chicken because both are poultry meat
Oh that is so interesting!! We need to try the salty caramel one! Thanks for the great information :)
just drink wódka frozen;) and dont eat donuts from supermarket:) those r not donuts. Just go to bakery;)
We ate a warm donut from a bakery in krakow and it was so delicious!! Thanks so much for watching :)
PrincePolo is #1
I (Jenny) agrees 🙌🏼 thanks for watching friend!
