As a child in the Pennsylvania mountains, I can remember we had a flying squirrel in our house!! After causing a ruckus, the little guy ended up getting tangled up in mom's curtains which worked perfectly as a net. Hahaha. Awesome memory. Miss you and love you mom!
Saludos de Mexico, I know exactly what you mean, I started watching Icelandic crime dramas to escape the heat here last summer. Now I really want to visit Iceland.
What an amazing and unique eco- system, unspoiled by the destructive hands of ambitious man. Wonderful photography beautiful scenery. WELL DONE to all involved.🎉
Sorry to tell you this but it's the most polluted, toxic sea in the world. The porpoise is almost extinct, from pollution and shipping noise. The sea is merely 10 000 years old, but alread the most rotten dead one on the planet.
Our beloved Baltic sea is unfortunately one of the world's most polluted seas. The Baltic is very shallow and the connection to the Atlantic Ocean is so very narrow, this makes the overturnof water very slow. The pollutants are partly from industry, and shipping, but to a large extent from agriculture and human waste. Run-offfrom agriculture brings fertilizer to the sea, wich makes it over-fertilized. This leads to over-growth of algae that creates lots of problems, including oxygen-depleted bottoms. Large areas of the sea bed is already "dead" nothing lives there anymore😢 Our nature is stunningly beautiful and pristine, but we are sadly about to loose the sea.
Great and Amazing... Always love coastline counties along BALTIC SEA. Have lived for 30 years in Kalmar County for 30 years. And now in Stockholm - Nature beauty on small islands here - Lots to explore nature beauty. Thank you for sharing of video. Best Wishes from STOCKHOLM - SWEDEN😇
Just found this channel and the documentaries are absolutely incredible and I’m in wonderland. Thank you so much for this amazing content. I’ve tried watching many wildlife documentaries on RUclips but 1 of 2 things, usually happen. 1 thumbnail looks beautiful and when you click, it’s 15 years old and extremely poor image 2 constant adverts every 2-5 mins and I simply just don’t bother. I will definitely be watching many of these documentaries, in the following months. There’s bloody 100’s of them and the quality is fantastic. Really well made documentaries, really nice picture quality, great narration and beautiful nature and wildlife . 😁
This high quality video is entertaining with majestic Wildlife scenes of birds and animals. It also covers many scientific footage and commentary. The persistent cold that lasts 6 months will keep this area from getting over- populated with Humans. The wildlife and pristine wilderness at this latitude is insurance that this beautiful and wild place will stay that way.
What an amazing documentary, as someone from Sweden I always thought the Baltic Sea was Birmingham because it had no tropical fish or crabs, but this really made me appreciate the sea even more
This is an excellent documentary. I just wish that the chap who gives the comments would pronounce archipelago properly! It is arkipelago and not arshipelago!!!
They are called murder cows for a reason. If they have littleones with them they will attack easily. And they are really fast. Bears mostly avood you bit moose will prefer to walk over you. Cheers from finland. Ps horse is quite small compared to moose.
Has climate change affected this region ? In Canada, the ice is not forming correctly causing starvation to the polar bears and preventing seals from mating on the shore ! DML
Not that much affected yet as this is further North than Southern Alaska and winters vary within a fairly wide range anyway with shorter or longer periods of ice. But it is fully understood that changes will take place unless we can stop global warming soon.

It's summer and it's terribly hot in Brazil. So I think it's very refreshing and fitting to see shows like this, about a cold, far away world. 😃😃

Until your actually there and freezing 🥶
@@Crazyweazelbear No in Iceland you jump into one of those hot springs if its too cold.
@@Crazyweazelbear I don't need to do this. What I want is just the illusion of cold.

Looks just like northern Minnesota or pretty much anywhere in Canada
so pretty,
Some of my genetic origins long for this landscape.
I Diddnt know pike coukd live in salt water
They can't live in pure salt water. The Baltic is only brackish. Mix of salt and fresh water.
I think the moose is a beautiful animal, would love to see one in the wild..
I'll put you in touch with my ex-missus if you'd like?

Should show the trawlers takeing up all the fish to turn into pellets a then send to norway to feed the cancerous farmed salmon !
You fly over this region low and you can see all this. And wonder where the land is
Has climate change affected this region ?

This region is not separate of Canada, therefore altogether indeed affected by climate change.

Yeah but A. U Fellows, Solar Flare are much more Concerning, it's In our evaluation cycle of this plant
@@sampohonkala4195 There's nothing new under the Sun! There's always gonna be global warming!
Water temperature is rising and ice cover is smaller than earlier. The main problem for the Baltic is too much fishing and nutrients plus some toxin.

Documentary of Baltic sea and actually not mentioning Baltic countries instead making it look like only Sweden and Finland have Baltic shores.
This episode is about the Gulf of Bothnia, the northernmost part of the Baltic sea, and by some definitions not even considered "Baltic sea"
