    Instead of drilling, heat a tip of the knife with a lighter. Hole will be thinner, but enough for the cable. Rest is good! I believe this is a far better solution than, an internal ELRS mod.

      Hey ! Why do you believe it's better than internal mod ?

    hi after make this upgrade is need use crossfire module too? orinternal crossfire will work normal ?

      Internal Crossfire module will also work fine after adding module bay add-on. You just need to switch the Model in the menu when using different drones. I have two models configured on my radio. One is Cinelog35 and it uses internal Crossfire from the Tango 2 (meaning External RF Mode is set to OFF) and second model is called "Meteor75" where External RF Mode is set to MULTI. See at 05:47 on this video.

      For multiprotocol I recommend TBS because it's very good quality. When you need ELRS then I bought HappyModel ExpressLRS 2.4GHz ES24TX Slim Pro TX. It works great and quality is nice.

    Noob question: is it possible to plug a BetaFPV ELRS transmitter into this? Compatible? Can the TBS Multi Protocol Module handle ELRS?

    • @rfly-fpv
      @rfly-fpv  3 года назад +1

      Multiprotocol Module can't handle ELRS as far as I know. If you want ELRS in your tango 2 module bay addon you can buy BetaFPV ELRS Nano TX Module. As far as I can see on their official product page it supports tango 2. My only concern is the BetaFPV quality - it's very random to be honest. I would ask TBS via email if they have any plans to produce their own ELRS ;)

      UPDATE after 7 months :P - I bought HappyModel ExpressLRS 2.4GHz ES24TX Slim Pro TX. It works like a harm with my Mobula 7 ELRS 1S and Tango 2 module bay add-on. If I'm not wrong even the ELRS developers suggests the HappyModel's module.

      @@rfly-fpv thx, but have you tested on older versions, 1.29 & 4.11?

    If you don't want to use soldering iron (as some people suggest on YT) to make a hole for the signal tape because you don't like the ugly melted plastic around this video is for you ;) It turned out that few "merged" drill holes and nail file is enough to do the job.

    god thats dumb. ordered everything and it came without the signal tape. now i get to wait an extra week to get started
