I just want to let you know, in case you didn't catch it, but the official BLLK S2 trailer is out, and so is the trailer for the KnY trilogy of movies for the Infinity Castle Arc.
I think life on the mainland is pretty much normal. That "island" they are living only was already abandoned which would explain why the infrastructure is in ruins.
Another anime that deals with the topic of raising sea levels is Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet. First season aired in 2013. I wish they would continue the story after the movie. It is a really good story. I highly recommend it. Even though it is from 2013, animation quality is comparable to the better anime shows we have this season. Atri acting sus in front of the school. I bet she remembers something.
i can tell this anime series wont be fun for too long, this anime has the same studio as Plastic Memories(One of the saddest anime). I guess this show will have a sad ending and of course it is just a guess
