  • Should women be having babies in their 20s? Christine believes that she was not ready for a child in her 20's and feels much better bringing up a child now. Jane used to tell her daughter to wait until she was in her 30s to have a child, but now feels that she is ready for grandkids now, despite her daughter being 27 and Judi sees it from both sides.

I was 20 when I found out I was pregnant, just 21 when I had her and now she’s 19 and I am so proud of her, I’m so glad I had her when I did, although me and her dad aren’t together anymore, (he’s remarried but we are all the best of friends) my life has been amazing! ❤️❤️

I got married and had my daughter at 20 and I feel so out of place compared to my friends and other parents. Then I look around and see other young parents and realise we aren’t the only ones. 😅

I'm 38 and expecting my first after a long infertility struggle. Sometimes having children at an older age isn't by choice . We'd have loved nothing more than to have started our family in our 20s but life had other plans

I would have started having kids after 25 but got pregnant and gave birth at 20. Life is weird but I just go with the flow. 😅

Exactly, you need a stable partner. You can’t just go around popping babies out with anyone. Women are a lot more cautions these days especially as they get older.

If I had my twenties again I’d try to have a child a few months after my 21st birthday. If I had a daughter at 22 we’d be close enough in age to look like sisters. Had mostly heartbreak and not much apart from a few good points in my 20s. I should’ve went to church back then and married young, not bothered with that stupid ex and meet my husband in my teens we’d grow up quicker than we did. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but thank God everything worked out in the end ❤

My daughter and I have a 20 year age gap and I feel we may get mistaken for sisters in the future 😅

@@potato1084its because at 20 you are more likely to be older sister to baby than mother.

Best to have is between 25 and 30. You can later but not too much. And not before because you are probably immature.

i was 23 when i got my first child. We did not plan it so i was stressed out and scared. I am young and not ready to spend my life on raising a baby but i want to work on myself. I am 26 now and we have 2 children now. I am a happy and proud father of 2. It changed my life and made sure that i matured immensely and made more serious decisions in my life. It is hard. But i am still young and have the energy. Working on my carrier and on my family. If you are in a long term relationship and financially stable enough then i highly recommend it.

I had an unplanned pregnancy at 20 and don’t plan on another until 26 at least. We’re not in a great place financially (low income) but we have good familial support (living at home so minimal rent) and married so it’s fine until we can get full time jobs.

@@potato1084then you shouldn’t have a child. Bringing them up in struggle is giving them unnecessary trauma.

Having kids in 20s is a very good idea. :)

You should have a baby when you’re ready and your partner is ready and stable. The thing is women and men these days in modern society, dating is hard so people aren’t even finding love to have a family.
