I actually prefer the fox over the walkers simply for ease of use and honestly they seem to hold up better. When putting on a premium shock I go elka for sure. I just see a lot of bend and blown walkers and yet never see many qs3 have issues. Be interest to see what you dealer buddy thinks I'm sure he's seen it all. Great season of content for us polaris guys, it's much appreciated
Fox is great. Ive run them on many other things and theyre awesome. Walkers QC was way off this year but if Bruce was inside them they held up great. I ahve 1050 miles on mine that he did and no issues at all and as you know i beat them to death. Appreciate you following along!
The SP 650 is pure entry level trail performance. The XC id say is both entry level and for long time riders. But since they are the in season floor models absolutely can be considered entry level. I just bought a 2024 xc 850 137 with the Storm track this last saturday. I was happy to see the XC I basically would have ordered for $3200 off msrp! Setup and other fees waived and the 2 year warranty. I couldnt pass it up lol but of course before i pick it up that fuel sticker recall goes out and im not allowed to bring it home until the sticker is on. Great video, great explanation! I always figured if each click is too soft or too hard, the first rebuild id have them valved a bit different.
Jesse, I cannot state enough how much I enjoy these videos that you and Bruce put together. They are entertaining and very informative. Watching you grow your channel has been awesome. Please keep it up, the best Polaris content on you tube!
I had a snow check xc with walker Evans and it was an amazing trail sled. I loved it. Pair of hd springs and 144 gold diggers and its a perfect sled for 99% of trail riders.
thanks for info, 1 other change on the xc i noticed, LED headlights vs. night blade, my 50th year buying sleds & only polaris sleds, i am snowchecking xc 650 129 with 1.35 track
@@JESSEJAMES322 not a problem, i did not notice until i read brochure, and a couple weeks ago on the cross country 600, someone noticed different headlight, keep comming with the great info love it
I'm stoked - first time snow checking and I've got a 24` XCR 850 on the way! I wish it was a XC9R, but maybe next year! I'm a big guy, 340 with gear on and ride hard. What springs should I toss on it straight out of the box?
Hey Kyle. Being your weight youre going to need different spings and re-valving all the way around. I would suggest getting with Bruce and having everything done before you even get on snow. any questions let me know
Entry Level ? These machines are way beyond entry level in my opinion. 650 to 850 (130 to 165HP), Matryx, QS3 shocks etc.... Entry level used to be the Indy Lite 340, Bruce will remember those days! I'm just poking fun at you Jesse, I really enjoy the channel and Videos with Bruce! It's just amazing how thighs have changed over the years. My first sled was a 1974 Yamaha GPX 433.
only step under this is the SP and you just loose way too much going to one. Price difference isnt that much and you get much more with the XC. I knew not everyone would agree with that BUT thats how we feel! YES times have changed a ton!!!
Great video, My sons loves his Assault , I’ll be in next year to snowcheck another for me , how about a video between the higher end models with the 146” track ?
The SP is even cheaper. By around $2k. Which has same display, track, bars, engine as the XC. Upgrade to XC over SP are adjustable shocks. Then just trivial things like color schemes, smaller lug track to 1.35, and smoked headlight.
Great video as usual. I’m assuming the QS3’s are rebuildable and can be re-valved? I can see where the 3 settings would be nice but only if they are valved to your liking.
different shocks, different springs, different brakes, different handlebars, different pitch of the track, some beefier rear suspension components and thats about it
@@JESSEJAMES322 what’s your opinion on the better trail sled? I live in Northern Mi by a lake VanEtten, I was up in the air about the VR1 BOOST for the lake but 99% of my riding is trails.
yes you could get one. Bruce is the biggest dealer in the Northeast for Polaris and he didnt get a single one so we didnt mention it. They were nearly impossible to get

I’d hardly consider QS3’s “entry level.” If the XC is entry level, what does that make the SP line? XC is a great middle of the road sled!
you loose too much with the SP. Yes its a Matryx but with the shocks and other options its worth the few more dollars to get an XC.

Congrats on the new ride!! Yes can always have them valved however you want them! Bruce is the man for that job!
thank you for representing flatlanders,,you do an awesome job,,🤙🤙
Thank you! someone has to do it. Wish Polaris would see what we are doing for them and give us some help!

i really apppreciate this. I love reading comments like this. makes everything we do and all the time and travel worth it! Thank you!
Jesse can review anything. I’d listen to him even if he came on with a Polaris sidewinder 2843cc 5 stroke super turbo w/ 189” track. WHEELIEEES!
hell yea brother!!!!!! Maybe we should build one of them!!
Good content Love Bruce very knowledgeable great guy
hes forgotten more then ill ever know about sleds!
Great job explaining the difference! Keep up the great work.
Thank you! we are trying!

Will the 2024 scratchers that come on the mountain sleds work on the trail sleds? Or will they have to be modified to fit?
good question and i have no idea. I will have to look into that
Go to One Rig Design. They make a conversion kit and SP1 scratchers that bolt on. No drilling. They work slick.
Great video, My sons loves his Assault , I’ll be in next year to snowcheck another for me , how about a video between the higher end models with the 146” track ?
the 146 was talked about in this video! but we also did a whole video on one a ways back
The SP is even cheaper. By around $2k. Which has same display, track, bars, engine as the XC. Upgrade to XC over SP are adjustable shocks. Then just trivial things like color schemes, smaller lug track to 1.35, and smoked headlight.
Yes the shocks are a game changer. We really try to get eveyone into one of these because you can adjust your sled to fit your needs
If you had an xc with walker Evan’s shocks and the 7s…what would be the difference be between that and a vr1?
You mesn if you put walkers on It from a vr1. Colors, rail stiffeners and 4th wheel. That’s it
Great video as usual. I’m assuming the QS3’s are rebuildable and can be re-valved? I can see where the 3 settings would be nice but only if they are valved to your liking.
yes Bruce can build them to however youd like them!

different shocks, different springs, different brakes, different handlebars, different pitch of the track, some beefier rear suspension components and thats about it

its really all preference. depends on type of rider and riding style along with types of trails you are riding
Lol, entry level if you have the means to buy them. Maybe an SP or an Evo more of an entry-level sled.
Evo is a totally different sleds. SP yes would be even a step below these but you loose alot with them.
Very nice! Please review an s4, if you have one. If you do … please start it.
Bruce is the biggest Polaris dealer in the Northeast and he didnt even get one. We planned on doing a video but we didnt get one
Brake difference?
nope theyre the same a VR1. XCR has different brakes
Doesn’t the XC come with a 4stroke

So who won the contest?
video tomorrow!
Can you please take the time to show us your unit?
My unit as in my sled?
