This is my 1st time practicing Tai Chi & I want to thank you for not making it seem hard. I will need bilateral knee replacements in the near future, so wasn't able to bend them hardly at all. I was able to "melt " though & so far the pain isn't too bad...will definitely watch again. 👍🏻

I am amazed as I was in pain and using ice to relieve the pain. Started to work out with you last week doing seated tai chi and found this video for the knee. So happy I did😅. Thank you!😊

this really helped. When I started Tai Chi in 1985 i was doing it for self defense so everything was very rigid. You helped me when you said "flow" made sense to me since I am retired now. It is good to remember what I learned to protect myself (I worked in Criminal Justice with hard core offenders} Now I want to continue with Tai Chi for my health. I love the way you are so relaxed with it . Thank you David

My knee has been sore since running a Marathon 2 weeks ago... This routine hasn't completely alleviated the pain - but my knee certainly feels better now, and looser

Thank you so much for sharing that Tai Chi exercise. I felt a stretch and blood flow my whole body. I believe this will help me with my knee pain the more I do Tai Chi. Thanks again!

Hello. Just started following you several weeks ago. I’m enjoying the program and like Tai Chi (spelling).
To answer your question about knees, after this one session today, my knees feel okay. Maybe better than before starting the session. But
only one trial may not prove much
I plan on continuing learning from you. Thank you.

Thank you for these videos. I sampled some of your stuff a few years ago, and am coming back to it. I find you so engaging and calming and gentle, and I just overall feel better after doing this. I have a knee that was doing find for several weeks and then UGH! just went down the stairs a little off, and now I'm back to doing the stairs one foot at a time. So discouraging, but I'm glad I found this particular video, and even though I'm so new, I was able to follow it along really well. Thank you.

HI David, I am following you in your 100 days of Tai Chi and then following that lesson with this one daily. Thank you very much! This lesson really helps me to understand the concept of flow and connection. Lydia

I was trying to follow the movements (mirrorwise). My first time and it's hard. I must learn. Though whether I follow correctly or not, I feel a tremendous amount of energy in my hands. Hopefully this will go to my knee as well, where I have the actual pain. I try Reiki on my knee already. Thank you for the guidance.

Before: my knees give me lots of pain, wobbles, bad stuff. I did not think I could do tai chi. But lo and behold, if I take it easy, easy, easy, over even a few days, they get steadier, less painful, they feel stronger. This is the slow boat to China, pun intended if it is one. Something good is happening to my knees!

Janet Knori Janet that's awesome! It may be a slow boat to China, but what's the rush? As long as it's getting better! 😄

Yah, that's what I figure. I'm a little old, so it's kind of a race against the clock - er - calendar, I suppose.

Hi David, Thank you so much for your wisdom and instruction. I am very curious about the music that is playing in the background. What and who is it? I would love to purchase it. Thank you and Namaste, Lydia

Hi Lydia - glad you like the music! This is a playlist we created especially for livestreaming to Facebook. We got the tracks from a service called AudioHero - I can recommend them for a lot better quality music than a lot of royalty-free services!

Hi, I just subscribed. I recently had meniscus surgery and not doing well. Its been nine months. So, what I would like to know is the proper tai chi form to protect my knees. I feel like maybe I'm not moving correctly because my knee is hurting. Like my posture is wrong .Thanks for your suggestions.

    • @qigongwithkseny
      @qigongwithkseny 6 лет назад

Hi Judi, good question. A good way to protect your knees is to do a gentle 5-10 minute warm-up for your knees before starting Tai Chi e.g gentle knee rotation and massage around and behind the kneecap. Tai Chi is all about leg strength so if you practice daily, your knees will get stronger. All the best,
