The reason why it’s cut differently is because of the collar. The cutting of the neck of a Senator/kaftan has more of a round shape and when you fix the collar on it, it will not be balanced on the neck. There’ll be space around the neck.
For the Senator neck, after dividing the neck round by 4, you’ll add half inch to it for the height of the neck, then divide the height by 2 to get the width.

The neck of a Senator is slightly wider than an English shirt. I’ll do a separate video on the formula for measuring the neck of a Senator
