Pepperrment oil is a good deterent for rodents but must be refreshed often. Also check wheel wells for any openjngs as sometimes debris is kicked up when travelin causing a hole or separation in seams. Metal split flanges over pluming & electrical entries . Vents to heaters refrigs & heaters need a metal sheet cover inside vent to keep rodents out. When unit is in storage

Good tips we do the majority of the steps mentioned although for deterrent we use moth balls, we spread them or leave them in bags placed underneath the camper outside, works like a charm been using them for 30 years no problems ever!

Do you keep your camper in an area that gets snow in the winter? I wouldn't think moth balls would work in snow.

@@lauravictorious4670 These days we rent an inside storage space for our camper and we still use mothballs over the winter here in S/W Ohio, similar to when we utilized outside storage while exposed to the weather

One place I learned was vulnerable is the trailer tongue. My Airstream trailer tongue was constructed out of rectangular tubing and I learned the hard way that the tubing was open ended on the outside and inside between the trailer floors.

Mice can't read, but you could install small signs with the silhouette of a mouse in the middle, with the red circle and slash through the silhouette. 🙂

We use ours every week. I suppose it would depend on how often it is used. Certainly wouldn’t hurt anything. Thanks for watching!

Two Words "Toilet Blocks" that smell like moth balls. Mice hate the smell and you don't have to do much else. Hang in basement compartments and inside front to back. Don't take the wrapper totally off. Remove any left over in spring and air out. The kind that hang on a toilet are 1 dollar a piece were I get them (much less than mothballs) and believe me, THEY WORK!

had a rat in my house getting into the dog food, eliminated all the food issues and it ate my rubber dishwashing gloves. put out some rat kill in the hot water heater closet and let my cats in a few nights... cats are super good to have around, esp if you live in the woods or country. they will keep everything out of your garden too.

can you use a portable heat sensing device to find holes where mice can enter the motorhome? Mice can fit into the smallest of gaps and I don’t think I found every little gap. Can’t get behind the wet bay but other than that, still looking underneath and spray foaming every gap (except heat vents in garage area of course). Thanks!
