"Idiot Box" and "Band Geeks" are amazing episodes. And, speaking of subtle adult references, anyone who has ever attended a party with chemicals present, while trying, unsuccessfully, to just attend briefly and not partake, will immediately relate to SpongeBob's pain in "Tea at the Tree Dome:" I'M A QUITTER!!!

Yessss!!!! I watched season 2 and 3 as an adult. I'm now 48 years old and I still carry a few distinct memories from the show that pop into my head on a pretty regular basis...
My favorite? A scene where Patrick stands alone in silence with a super angry look on his face. SpongeBob enters the frame with an equally mad face... "Patrick, I'm mad!! Are you mad too?!" Patrick replies, "Yeahh!!" And then after a short pause.... He shares, "I can't see my forehead!"
🤣 Silly and brilliant 🤓 I totally agree with your commentary.... this series had such a skill in delivering random comedy moments (at least for those of us who remain 8 year old nerds at heart) ❤️

I love SpongeBob! I was already in my 20's when it came out, so I don't have kid-related nostalgia like I do for Transformer, or MotU/PoP, TMNT, Real Ghostbusters etc., but I do have adult-related nostalgia for it. I remember the first time I watched it before my night shift thinking, "What is this rubbish?!" and by the end being completely in love with it. I've been a fan since! I've collected a ton of SpongeBob toys and memorabilia over the years too, my favourite being a German gold SpongeBob stuffed toy, amazing thing that!
As for lines stuck in my head, the one I always use when driving and stuck behind a Sunday driver or a caravan, coming up to a dual carriageway when I can FINALLY get past the bugger is, "Floor it? Floor it?! Okay, FLOOR IT!". Every. Single. Time. Or when I can find that American Goober peanut butter and grape jelly, the Goofy Goober song gets stuck in my head for the rest of the day!
Great video mate, really enjoyable, Happy 25th SpongeBob, you're officially as old as my car and that makes you a classic laddie!

Yay!! I've been waiting for a new video and I love SpongeBob and all those cartoons you showed! One innuendo you left out about SpongeBob is when he's watching TV and Gary comes in and SpongeBob hurries and changes the channel like he's watching porno or something 😄
My favorite episode might be The Tattle Tale Strangler 😃 or maybe any one with hillbillies.
I've been watching SpongeBob for years, but none of my family does, and I'm in my 60's. Thanks for the new video!! ❤

Voice actors of Serbian sponge Bob said in a n interview that they always had to watch the episode first, because they would laugh way too much if they didnt.
And its a fact that Vladislava Đorđević, the woman who was giving the Serbian sbonge Bob a voice is no1 in the world for that role, no contest. She also gave Stimpy a voice and it was also phenomenal. Edit: Now i watched the interview again, they were laughing at Ren and Stimpy, not Bob, my bad.

im gonna go on a limb and say that its def not nostalgia clouding peoples view on this one because im pretty sure when i grew up they werent playing the season 1-3 seasons and i remember not caring at all about spongebob, but now over 10 years later im 20 and my friends started watching spongebob with me every week (first three seasons) and i am loving it so much, its amazin how well the humor holds up, i thought the jokes would feel like outdated random ex dee internet humor, but they kind of dont? well they do feel like internet humor because a lot of internet humor IS based on spongebob, but in the best way possible

Hi! Just wanted to answer your thought you had at 28:45, Season One was animated using cel animation(ie, each frame were physically drawn on plastic sheets called “cel” and painted at the back.) This was the norm for several television cartoons from around animation’s birth to the turn on the millennium(so your point of saying season one looking like it was made in the early 90s wasn’t really wrong). By Season 2, they changed to digital animation.(you probably searched it up by the time I made this comment, but yeah just wanted to bring it up!)

18:04 Had a similar thing happen with me when I was six. A friend was over and we found a big caterpillar crawling along the driveway. We both got super attached in only five minutes and I wanted to keep it. But then a robin swooped in, kid me was terrified of it since it got much closer than birds normally would, and it picked up the caterpillar and flew off. I think I cried for almost ten minutes straight at the time and since then I've held a grudge against American robins

My mother was in her 70s, she LOVED SPONGEBOB--so much so that my siblings and I threw her a Spongebob Christmas with character decorations, wrapping paper, DVDs as presents and spongecake for dessert. Our family called each other Squidwards if we were being cranky and if you were about the money you were Mr. Krabs. I ran a Summer Camp and we turned our lunchroom into The Krusty Krab, making krabby patties out of burgers and created our own secret sauce with condiments, we used play money and hung menus...kids even took turns being Plankton trying to steal a patty. My camp had preschoolers up to 8th graders. IT WAS FABULOUS!
I miss popular culture that was sweet, silly and fun. Sure, people politicized the show and tried to make it about sexuality and other ADULT THEMES but overall, I still believe it was mostly just SILLY, SURREAL, HUMAN FUN that was accessible to a wide range of ages, generations, social class and racial identity. It wasn't about that stuff, not at first. It was the absurd stuff that actually expressed the pure, honest magic of CHILDISH IMAGINATION and the ETERNAL POWER of PRETENDING.
It really didn't take itself too seriously, not at first. But as any show that becomes more successful & popular, the worse it gets because the grown-ups get greedy and too many important people are watching who have AGENDAS and MESSAGES to indoctrinate viewers with, plus they just wanna start selling merchandise.

Remember - you are loved! Jesus loved you and gave his life so that you could be free because of Him! He died for our sins so that we can be reconnected with our Creator God. He wants us all to repent of our sins and receive a new life in Him! A life of strength, faith, and the ability to truly love others as God has loved us. He wants us to follow Him, and let Him be the Lord of our lives. Why is that part important? Because through Christ we will be given the power to overcome sin in our lives today. Christ offers this blessing to all who choose to believe in Him, trust Him and follow Him xx He will never leave you nor forsake you xxx
