I like the fact that you included screens of the products used and simple illustrations explaining the process. It’s very helpful. Thank you for sharing your gift and hard work and the tremendous beauty that comes with it with the world.

Another fantastic video. Another fellow Blue Ridge supporter here! I've always found your videos to be representative of your style and instruction. Clean and painterly.

I just signed up for the community hub. My name is Stacey and the picture that I used is when I was 14 in high school. I did that obviously I didn’t know what I was doing but it reminds me of how far I’ve come.

How did you paint the mist so that it looks like mist ?

It’s starts in the block-in stage. You can watch the full painting tutorial for free here. go.samuelearp.com/misty-mount

It's funny because I tried in arylic, to begin with darker value, but I ended with a mess. However, I did the opposite, with the light value first, including a small layer of white and it was much better. I think the fact that acrylic has a lot of pale transparent colours, it looks really bad when you go over a darker color (that is often dry too). In the end you have to enhance some lighter colors, and some shadows, but in general I end up with the right contrast. Of course, I don't use a retardant.
Just saying. Still like the way you paint.

I agree. In that regard, painting with acrylics is almost like doing a watercolor painting.
