    The new ultra rich nowadays live in small gated bungalows of affluent area of town. You think that they are just rich, but nope, because they usually own or bought 3-4 houses of that gated bungalows as investments apart from other properties and businesses they don’t tell you about. Each house costs 3-4 millions ringgit.
    Some I know owned such land and developed it and keep 2-3 houses as investments. They live as ‘quiet rich’. At least these are the trend I see among rich people that I know. The have Perodua myVi, parked next to a Ferrari. Each car for different purposes to fit different social settings. No more big luxury mansions in front of your nose kind of thing when it comes to these ultra rich. They value safety, security and privacy of their families a lot, which means living low-key.

    • @benfishermin

      Hm I hope it will improve over the next few years in that case. I suppose they need more workers nearby, more foot traffic over there in general, or those stores/restaurants won’t see any profits. Let’s hope a proper food court with good prices will pop up at some point 😀

    Ben you can try Suki-Ya buffet at Pavilion Bkt Bintang, they have a clear konbu broth suitable for you. Apart from that they can even give you clear water to simmer your meats and vegetables if you’re wary. Most hotpot shop can give you clear water just that they won’t give you any discount for not having their broth. Btw, you can try Chinese roast pork, roast duck or roast chicken it’s soy free and roasted, you can get it conveniently at local coffee shops. There’s a roast duck stall in Chinatown about RM60+ for a whole duck. These are some of the keto/ carnivore favourite picks in Malaysia. Hope that helps.

      @benfishermin  2 месяца назад

      Great tip thanks, never thought about just using water. Kombu broth can work as long as there is no sneaky ingredients 😀 I think for Chinese roast pork or meats they’ll use something like sugar, vinegar, rice wine. If they really just used salt and seasoning that would be great, I’m sure the recipe varies from place to place. 🙏🙏

      @@benfishermin Happy to see that your channel has grown at a not so bad pace... In terms of land value, Damansara Heights, Kenny Hills, Ampang Hilir, U-Thant, Jalan Damai off Jalan Ampang and Bangsar are at the top tier with Taman Tar in Ampang, Country Heights in Kajang and a few others trailing behind because of their distance from the KL city centre. While in the top tier areas, almost all properties were developed in the 60's/70's - hence the old unsavoury architectures , Taman Tar and the others are newer - occupied by the children of the top tier owners, - to described it simply. Having said that, Kampung Baru is actually very undervalued due to its non-developed Malay Reserved land status but that will soon change. On the matter of which area is the most expensive, it can be quite subjective. While the top tier areas has higher land value, areas like Kajang etc host numerous fantastic houses. To put things into perspective, there's a house in Kajang Country Heights that took 7 years to built. Not due to work being halted in the process but because of the extensive details and complexities of the house. I can go on for a few days in this topic as real estate is one of my interests but I should stop here so as not to bore those who do read comments... Have a great time in Malaysia, Ben
