I said before that Thailand is for vacation, Malaysia is for living. Too many people make Thailand content compared to Malaysia so you have more competition for views. I do like Malaysia as the home base and Thailand for taking trips/vacation. Yea Thailand content REALLY needs to stand out to get any traction. In Malaysia there are just so few foreign vloggers in comparison. In regards to weed, it effects everyone very differently, to the point that many people don't even enjoy using it. For me it puts me into a unique headspace that I enjoy and get value from in my life. Habitual use is likely not good for anyone or their productivity. I don't use it nowadays with any regularity, so when I do go to Thailand and indulge, it's very enjoyable.
Ben, you need to strategize when dealing with the weather here. For example, you need to stay indoor more often like most people here do, pick a suitable time when you want to be out and about .. weather is not an issue if your strategy is right.
Yea I do plan around the weather of course, but it can still be unpredictable or unavoidable if I have many things to get done in one day. I stay inside 90% of the time basically

Flights From KL are definitely cheaper if u want to travel domestic or regionally . And the airports here are definitely not as crowded as BKK and DMK. I May be biased since im Malaysian. Check out our Borneo states of Sarawak and Sabah .
Yea that’s true. BKK is so big too, I actually try to go to DMK when possible. KL airport isn’t bad, it’s just a bit far away, but the KLIA Express is quite fast to get there especially when I stay near KL sentral. Actually I just finished 11 days in Sabah and Sarawak 😀😀
The KLIA Express is the fastest way to get to the city center. It only takes 30 minutes, compared to a car, which usually takes twice as long. Grab just changed its policy for klia so that drivers can manually accept ride requests instead of auto-accepting them. This means that you may have to wait longer for a Grab ride.
Welcome back bro. Pls visit Johor and Singapore. Can make day trip to Singapore several times while staying at Johor to save cost. I'm personally from Kuantan but there's nothing much there except the beach teluk Chempedak. Taman Gelora is nearby u can visit the park too.
Visit Melaka - and some of it's 200 year old churches like St Francis Xavier church (under reno), St Peter (oldest functioning church in malaysia and singapore, built in 1710) St Paul ruins, Christ Church and if you are in Penang, there is a beautiful church in Balik Pulau called Holy Name of Jesus - It has one of the best stain glasses in Malaysia (my opinion). Most tourists forget churches in Malaysia being a muslim country, but they are none less special :)
@@benfishermin The churches have specific opening times - st peter , the oldest church in malaysia does follow strict attire (try to avoid sleeveless tops)
Btw, some of the street lights in Malaysia are black out due to lightning strikes or thunderstorms.. In KL, DBKL will fix them later..no worries.. Yes the whole country experience heatwave perhaps till August or September when north east monsoon season comes.. Probably the intensely heat happened since last 2 years (normally in Jan to April..)
If you want to live in an area with more Malaysians, you need to try outside the city area (but still in KL). Find an area with a direct mrt line to downtown, for example Taman Tun, Bangar Baru. You mentioned Chow Kit, unfortunately it's full of foreigners too, and even Kampung Baru a lot of non Malaysians renting rooms from Malaysian.
Hey dude, try the KLIA bus to Lrt Putra Heights which is around RM 8 From there to KL Central by the Lrt will cost another RM 4. Far much cheaper than RM 50 KLIA express.
wow... walking alone on an empty shadowy trails along the river, just to prove a point... it is SAFE HERE! but still preach viewers to use percautions... which is always true... have a nice one... again.. in Malaysia. Be Safe and Happiness will Follow..
Hi Ben can you explore the waterfall in Malaysia.. because many youtubers only explore KL city and forget that Malaysia also have the nature ...i recommend you to explore Rainbow waterfall in Sungai Lembing, Pahang
Just a personal note, I’ve got involved in different groups of people who like to play Badminton, Pickle Ball, plus running and there are Hash Harrier meet ups that do hiking. This is all in the Pattaya area. It’s great for meeting all different kinds of people, but most of all for keeping fit, active and fun at the same time! That’s one advantage in living long term in one location!
Nice that sounds fun, I’d love to play some badminton. I already miss my sauna + ice baths + nice gym in Pattaya! It’s a shame I can’t pull great view/income numbers with Pattaya content or I’d be spending a whole lot more of my time there 🤔
Hey Ben, Welcome HOME 😁 BTW, you could if you want to, take the Express Train (ERL) to: 1) to Putrajaya and change your train with MRT Putrajaya Line; or 2) to Bandar Tasik Selatan and change your train to LRT. But as you're heading to KL Sentral, then the Direct ERL train would be the way.
Ben: try the food court(s) in KLCC. 4th and 5th floors if I recall correctly. Also, if central KL is too expensive try Mid Valley - 30 mins or so by train to central KL. The train is something like RM2 per trip, so affordable.
@@benfishermin It's called Syria KLCC. In between the Petronas Towers. The food mall is on the 4th or 5th floors, on one end. One floor has all the local stuff (and also some separate restaurants) the other floor is full of international cuisine like fast food. The basement floor has a good grocery store. There are two grocery stores in that mall. Yes, try to look for better accomodation in Mid Valley. Good luck!
Hope that you have had a good time and a pleasant stay in Thailand. Welcome back to KL, Malaysia. Please have a good time and a pleasant stay in KL, Malaysia.
The RM100 note has been around for decades. After the Asian crisis in 1997, the Ringgit from USD1 = RM2. 50 became USD1 = RM4.50, recently USD1 = RM4.7 to RM4.90. Few years after the Asian crisis in 1997, the Ringgit was pegged USD1 = RM3.80, and the bigger Ringgit notes were not circulated anymore including the RM500 and RM1,000. Now, the exchange rate Ringgit is valued worse than the Asian crisis in 1997 against the USD.
For budget travel, perhaps you can try taking the overnight train from Thailand to KL next time? Taking train will also allow you to see the different landscape throughout the journey.
Most vloggers who come to Malaysia always hang around the tourist traps of KL/Bukit Bintang areas! You really should get away from those areas and your plans of staying in Petaling Jaya is a good idea
Why don't you vlog more in Thailand? I've learned a lot of good information from your vlogs, for instance, the storage place. Hope you come back to Thailand and vlog more. Thanks
Well since coming to Malaysia I’ve built an 80% Malaysian audience who is less interested in Thailand videos. Since the videos don’t perform well with my subscribers RUclips doesn’t really push them to new people anymore, so the videos struggle. Possibly if I stayed for 2 months and vlogged every day, RUclips will show me to a western audience again. More Thai videos will come in the future for sure though ✌️

That's nice to hear, I'm gonna keep it up with this style, try to improve my editing and make the videos more interesting 🙂
Yes,welcome Ben.
Thank you!
Thanks for the tips, I'll be going to Melaka very soon and I'll keep this in mind while there!
@@benfishermin The churches have specific opening times - st peter , the oldest church in malaysia does follow strict attire (try to avoid sleeveless tops)
Two of them are at the center, while St Peter and St theresa if you have time are a bit further from the city
Thumbs up 👍 Fishermin
Thank you 🙏💥😁
Welcome back to Malaysia for a Teh Tarik after getting hangover in Thailand 😊

Man came back to Malaysia and immediately bought nasi kandar. Give him a few years and he'll be swearing in Malay, Cantonese, and Tamil.
lol! Yea give me some time, I’ll get there 😂
All language in one sentence 😅😅😅
Can't wait 😅😅😅
Btw, some of the street lights in Malaysia are black out due to lightning strikes or thunderstorms.. In KL, DBKL will fix them later..no worries.. Yes the whole country experience heatwave perhaps till August or September when north east monsoon season comes.. Probably the intensely heat happened since last 2 years (normally in Jan to April..)
Does it get more cool in November, December, January?
@@benfishermin yea, I hope so.. but you can always check with MET-Malaysia for the weather forecast etc..😊
Thanks I’m gonna look into Taman Tun and Bangar Baru
@@benfisherminI believe it’s Bangsar Baru
Welcome back!! Nasi Kandar missed u..lol
Thanks! Haha the workers at the nasi kandar shops must be wondering where the heck I've been
Hey dude, try the KLIA bus to Lrt Putra Heights which is around RM 8 From there to KL Central by the Lrt will cost another RM 4. Far much cheaper than RM 50 KLIA express.
That's a wonderful tip thank you!
Why take bus to Putra Heights when there's bus directly from KLIA to KL Sentral lol
@@fahiruzrazali traffic jam to enter city center as being explained by Ben, haha

wow... walking alone on an empty shadowy trails along the river, just to prove a point... it is SAFE HERE! but still preach viewers to use percautions... which is always true...
have a nice one... again.. in Malaysia.
Be Safe and Happiness will Follow..
I walk there regularly, not to prove a point but because I like walking next to the water
Hi Ben can you explore the waterfall in Malaysia.. because many youtubers only explore KL city and forget that Malaysia also have the nature ...i recommend you to explore Rainbow waterfall in Sungai Lembing, Pahang
I plan to! I will visit Borneo soon too
I am new to your vlog and enjoy your content very much
Welcome back Ben
Thanks!
Glad to see you back in KL, Ben
Thank you it's nice to be back
Malaysian foods change your behaviour and you look more awesome walking around KL keep up good jobs @Ben
Thank you very much 🙏😁
Just a personal note, I’ve got involved in different groups of people who like to play Badminton, Pickle Ball, plus running and there are Hash Harrier meet ups that do hiking.
It’s a shame I can’t pull great view/income numbers with Pattaya content or I’d be spending a whole lot more of my time there 🤔
You didn’t say were you stayed in brick fields ?
Great update
Can’t wait to move to Maylaisa .
Too much too do too much love the life
City Central Hotel next to KL sentral. Thanks!
Welcome home🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!
Hey Ben, Welcome HOME 😁
BTW, you could if you want to, take the Express Train (ERL) to:
1) to Putrajaya and change your train with MRT Putrajaya Line; or
2) to Bandar Tasik Selatan and change your train to LRT.
But as you're heading to KL Sentral, then the Direct ERL train would be the way.
Thanks a lot, and nice tip!
Ben: try the food court(s) in KLCC. 4th and 5th floors if I recall correctly. Also, if central KL is too expensive try Mid Valley - 30 mins or so by train to central KL. The train is something like RM2 per trip, so affordable.
Which mall in klcc? The food court in pavilion is my favorite so far. I’ll have to check out mid valley soon thanks
Good luck!
@@benfishermin Sorry Ben, typo. It is called SURIA KLCC. Not Syria. Apologies
Love your videos bro, enjoy tour travels!
Great to hear thank you
Hope that you have had a good time and a pleasant stay in Thailand.
When you say, we, does this mean you have another traveling companion, or we, as in you and your viewers and subscribers.
Thanks a lot, I had a great trip. Wow I never had seen the 100 RM notes before this in all my time here! I only had ever seen 50 RM notes.
Oh yea when I say "we" I always mean me + my viewers, no traveling companion 🙂
@@benfishermin Ok. Got it. Thank you. 😀

Welcome home, Ben!!
Thanks! 😁
For budget travel, perhaps you can try taking the overnight train from Thailand to KL next time? Taking train will also allow you to see the different landscape throughout the journey.
Yea might try this in the future thanks!
Lol love how you pronounce KLIA express, never thought of pronouncing it that way, for the locals it's K.L.I.A. express

the weather now is fantastic during raining season
Welcome back bro..😊
Thanks!
Most vloggers who come to Malaysia always hang around the tourist traps of KL/Bukit Bintang areas! You really should get away from those areas and your plans of staying in Petaling Jaya is a good idea
I personally like Bukit Bintang! 😄
Cheers!! haven't seen any of your videos in a while. Must be YT not recommending it to me
Ah cmon RUclips, show him my videos!!
welcome back. Nice video
Thank you!
Welcome back😊
Thank you 🙏
Hi Ben, you should visit East Malaysia - Sabah & Sarawak.
Yes very soon!
Malaysia is best place on Earth in my opinion. Not biased. 😊.
been spending for the last 15 years of my life working there in the kl sentral area, never know theres a pathway by the river nearby 🤣
Ha wow, yep it's directly next to the Tun Sambanthan monorail station
KO ni...buat malu orang kampung je.....haha
A little bit of B roll, some music? Great additions to the vlog! Keep it going!
Nice to hear it, gonna keep it up 😀😀
regarding the weather... no Ben... the weather is constant.... it's forever hot. 😅😅😅
😭😭😭😭
More to explore brother. Enjoy yr trip.. peace ;)
Thank you!
there is train connecting thailand to malaysia i.e KL. That would be an adventure. one enter msia, take the fast train to KL
I think one day I’m gonna try this. Thanks
Should visit Sabah and Sarawak (Borneo Malaysia), check out the tattoo culture since its also part of the regional identity.
Gonna visit soon for sure!
welcome back Sir..
Thank you!
