Riley killing it with his commentary

I don't like the "nobody understands Voidwalker" comments, I often would like the commentators to be a bit safer in the rules department. Also talking about Abrade as an option for Rhinos was strange. Otherwise he has an interesting voice and is entertaining

Too bad that he conceded so quickly, I understand that they play-tested it endlessly, but for this Timmy it would've been interesting to see them play it out.

Did anyone else catch that at 44:48 the Marsh Flats that Kosaka played never fetched but he used it for mana on subsequent turns? I guess it benefited Smith in the end because he wasn't thinning his deck but I thought that was kind of a big oversight especially on a game that was on air.

There was a Blood Moon in play, turning Marsh Flats into a Mountain (no fetch)

That concede was far too premature - should've just taken the Tower and played it out...

Well the concession wasn’t early it just made no sense not to choose tower

@@Phil1053LocketYeah, since even if Tower was named and wasn’t in hand, he couldn’t cast Great Creator next turn with 3 mana… Still had a slight chance

Na the issue is Zach is missing way too many resources, he needed to perfect topdeck like 5 cards in a row and have Simon brick 5 cards and brick on one ring draws
The call from stonebrain was also irrelevant since he had both Karn and the missing urza land

Lots of judge calls because of fiddly rules interactions like 'where does this card go when x replacement effect is in play?' I know people love Modern, but I do think it's a weaker format to showcase on this stage just because the games don't keep moving.

High level events always have a lot of judge calls because you want to be 100% sure on anything. And there are still more than enough Standard events
