Out there in the spotlight your a million miles away and every ounce of energy .............this song blows me away how he sings it. The whole album was awesome. Most albums of others have two good songs on them. This one all songs are great hits. Pink Floyd the wall was another that every song was great. Thanks for doing these songs. Love your reactions
I was a pro wrestler for 30 yrs. The words to this song reminds me of being on the road in the South. The part about being in the restaurant ALWAYS happened.
Bob Seger is a genius storyteller/songwriter/musician and a great guy! His music is legendary and his lyrics are profound and amazing. I know you appreciate piano music and I am certain you would love “Against the Wind”. Can’t say enough about this artist. I had the good fortune to see him live in the 1980’s. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Thanks for this awesome reaction 🌺✌️
I saw him in ‘75 when the Live Bullet craze was sweeping the midwest. Most of my friends and I had one copy on vinyl for home and one on cassette for the car. You could pretty much put any of its 4 album sides on the turntable, set the needle down wherever you like, and it was going to be a party. I like your choice (Against the Wind). For a real lower register piano-gasm, my favorite is Still The Same. From Live Bullet, Katmandu (mentioned in the post below) Get Out of Denver, and Nutbush City Limit (an Ike & Tina Turner song) really command one’s attention. But really, the best thing to do with Live Bullet is start on Track 1 and listen to them all in order. Love his youthfulness, confidence, and rapport with the audience. Thanks for choosing Turn the Page, Van. It’s a dandy and always will be. Such a clean recording for a live version almost 50 years ago. It was good to see you enjoying it as well.
Bob Seger... Master Story teller, brilliant writer & Rock-n-Roll God ✌😎--- & don't forget the Silver Bullitt band 🙂 Saw him in concert in the early 80's ... Great !
Bob Seger, one of the best ever...he also had to deal with throat cancer during his career. Turn the page is the anthem song for all singers living on the road.
"Later in the evening as you lie awake in bed, with the echoes from the amplifiers ringing in your head, you smoke the days last cigarette remembering what she said." I've been a musician for a long time now and I toured for about five years. I won't pretend it wasn't fun. It was one of the best times of my life. On the flip side, it can be the most lonely experience in the world. Everything on stage is what you live for. Everything in between can be torture. It's no wonder that substance abuse is so rampant. Boredom and creative people don't mix well.
Bob Seger has never gotten the recognition (and promotion) he deserves. If it was not for Kid Rock, Bob Seger might not have even been in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame....the man has it all...I still sing this song....it is one of my favorites!
Bob Seger is a legend in my book. This song “Turn the Page” is my favorite Bob Seger song. In 2021, Bob is still out there singing. I grew up listening to Bob’s music. He’s the bomb!!!
I love Bobs story telling in"Turn the Page,"That subtle saxophone in the background sounds so mysteriously sweet. But those blasts of saxophone are amazing. Love Bob Segar.Dynamite productions.
I'm 61 and I remember the first time I heard this song. In my bedroom on the radio, AM mind you, lol. I was blown away. A diehard Bob Seger fan and also a diehard fan of his favorite...Wolverines. Go Blue!👍🎶✌
Thank you for your reaction! You can never go wrong w/ Mr. Bob! He's such an ICON! I grew up listening to him. The 1st time I heard it, I was on the school bus, my bus driver was an old Harley Davidson rider, and the tattoo on his forearm was the 1st one I had ever seen. He made me sit on the first row because I was only like 6. I was ways a big talker so we had good conversations, I asked a lot of questions & he was so sweet & patient w/ me! Great memories! Love & peace! ❤✌🏼
I first heard him as a kid, my dad played his music all the time. But I live 45 minutes from where he grew up in Michigan, so everyone around here are fans of his music. Also his saxophone player is named Alto Reed.
Traveling man/ Beautiful looser from Bob Seeger Live Bullet try that one next. Like many I've had tragedy thru out my life but early on I lost a good friend and band mate to a freak accident on the way into the cemetery to lay him to rest Turn the page came on, just like that we were playing to an audience again and I could see it so clearly. Keep up you musical journey you have a lot to cover .
I agree in this song he really makes you feel like you are right there I do love the feel. Segar really has a way with this one making it seem so lifelike where he leads you with the words and feel of the 🎵 music. Not many can bring you so close
Van, you are such a beautiful soul! I was 13 years old when I first heard this song. When I hear it, I feel it! I love to watch him perform but this song makes me close my eyes and vibe out! Just experiencing the music!! Great memories!
One of the greatest songs about life on-the-road.. He covers as much he can in the time allowed for this track ❤ love Bob Seger.... I'm happy you chose this song... Great reaction 👊
I love to see people experience music from back in my younger years. Bob was great and so was his band. Great meaningful songs that hit home. Thank you for all your hard work! #LFRFAMILY
Bob Segar is absolutely one of my favorite singers! The band at mine & my husband's reception sang this song and did a phenomenal job! So this song definitely means something to us! Thanks for a Great reaction!
I first saw Bob Seger live 45 years ago. This is still my favorite song of his, although he's never made a bad one. Still the Same, Against the Wind, Shame on the Moon, Beautiful Loser, the list is wonderfully long...
Where was I? I was a sophomore sitting in the bleachers at a high school assembly and one of our teachers sat on a folding chair in the middle of the basketball court and sang the hell out of this song with his guitar into the pa system. That's where I was. And that's where I go each time I hear it again. Thank you.
The best show I have ever seen in my 63 years of life was his farewell tour a few years back. When he came out on stage the entire amphitheater crowd stood up and never sat down as he played hit after hit after hit. An extraordinarily talented and humble musician who paid homage to the rock legends that night with pictures of them on the backdrop. His lyrics and music just had a way of transporting you right in the middle of the story, tugging at your heart strings for the entire journey. Who the hell is going to replace that?? I am so grateful for the music BS left us. TY Bob Seger. Great reaction, as usual.
Bob Seger is one of a kind. He shows that if you have the drive, heart and talent you can make it in the music world and even more capture the hearts of the fans.
Good morning, Van! You heard it - this song is pure rock 'n' roll roadshow SOUL! Metallica did a phenomenal cover of it, a little more heavy, that you might want to check out. A couple of Seger songs you may want to react to:. "Her Strut" - my personal fave - & "Kathmandu", in which Seger ROCKS the house down. Thank you for your reactions, & helping expose us all to great music. Be safe.
@@miconis123 James has a way of really internalizing & then erupting his vocals. Makes whatever he's singing more gritty & personal. Seger really moves the song into blues & soul. Interesting to see how differently the 2 artists approach the same song. Thanks for your comment.
Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I’ve had the pleasure to listen to them for nearly my entire life. I was fortunate enough to have older siblings to start introducing me to great music when I was very young including Bob Seger. I got to see them in concert several times and they NEVER disappointed. You’ve only started on your journey through the incredible catalog of music they have to offer. Enjoy it, I guarantee it’ll be a great trip.
If you like this one try Load Out / Stay by Jackson Browne. We had some great musical storytellers back in the day. And yes the artists created the lyrics, produced the music, played all the instruments and sang the songs. It would have been fun to go to a concert with you because you genuinely enjoy the music we were so blessed with! Thank you for sharing! ☮💕🎸🎶🎤
My husband was a professional musician, he did all of Seger's songs. Sounded just like him! I sure do miss hearing his voice. This is as close as I can get. He also did a lot of Kennt Roger's songs. He had thas low, gravely voice! So sexy! I miss you Danny Mabe! But you're picking with the greats in heaven!
Your favorite until the next one comes along. It is nice to be appreciated by you. I do enjoy your reaction ,because you do show how much you love music 🎶
Where was I when I first heard this song? I was 16, cruising in my 1972 Firebird, I had just bought Bob Seger's 8-track, yes I said 8-track, Night Moves. Turn The Page was on that album. ANY song from Night Moves was great!
Love your reactions! Saw Bob Seger live in concert in the 80s. He was and IS the man! Not only the epic sound, but the killer lyrics. He is a master of story telling and double meanings. The lyrics of "Night Moves" use the word Moves as a noun, then a verb. He says "Workin' on our night moves (a thing)... Then says, "Ain't it funny how the Night Moves" ( a verb, describing the Night). It adds to the punch of the breakdown in that song. Just one example of his genius.
I went to see Bob Seger in concert in 2019 on his farewell tour at 73 years old he still sounded great.
This song is so special. I try not to listen to it too often so it doesn't lose it's status
That brother is solid gold, A top 10 all time song

That was live
When I was younger and moved around the country, I’d play this whole album in its entirety to start my road trip off…
We did the same thing each state move
Bob Seger feels every word he sings, and you will too.
BOB SEGER is my favorite. Know ever song but, this is my FAVORITE. You get his all.
It’s always been my favorite. It’s a good song!
Seger - “Like A Rock” - great reaction, great song.

Love Bob Seger
I was a young girl listening to Bob. He took me on a ride with this one. One of the first "behind the stage" songs. Love it
He’s one of the best. I saw him in ‘83, and took my mom to see him in 2008. He is a National Rock ‘N Roll treasure.

Singing about life on the road as Bob Segar the star and at the end of each show turn the page.
I love to see people experience music from back in my younger years. Bob was great and so was his band. Great meaningful songs that hit home. Thank you for all your hard work! #LFRFAMILY
I seen him do this live in concert in 1978, loved it then and love it now
I was very little when this came out, and I can’t remember where I was when I first heard it. I really don’t remember not having heard it. ❤️🎶
Love that smile!
Nice to see the enjoyment on your face! Bob Seegeer is awesome!!

Born in 74’ first heard this song that I’m aware of was 79’. Mom and her friends liked Bob Seger.

You can feel the pains of life on the road pouring out of him into a mic. Banger!
I herd it roller skating ! Ah,,, those sure were the days!!! Miss em
a great rock song that doesn't focus on guitar.
Bravo!
perfect way to describe that song.. "I could smell the cigars , I could taste the whiskey" perfect sir.
Bob was / is a beast. No one like him.

@@onemanriot100 Oh, man, "funky" ain't the WORD! Like Van says, it'll make women "throw they draw's" at ol' Bob! Thanks for your comment.
Please do Metallica's version but not the official video, it has dialog breaks that distract from the music imo
I usually like Metallica's remakes but really don't like what they did with this song

I had the Live Bullet 8 track tape and the damn thing changed track right in the middle of Turn The Page. 😂
When this song came out long hair for Rockers was in style. SEGER IS THE MAN!
This Detroit boy was, the man the myth the LEGEND
One of my all time favs right here 💯🧡

Against the Wind is another great Bob Seger song, one of MANY from him. Thank you for the entertainment Van. You're doing great man.
Bob Seger welcomed me out of highschool, so during my most impressionable years. I love his music, he had a good and a bad influence on me.
Bob Seger has so many great hit songs. “Nutbush City Limits” “ Roll Me Away” and “Feel Like a Number” are just a few
Wow! I kinda forgot about "Feel like a Number." That is a good track.
Nutbush City limits is a Tina Turner song. He covered it on his "smoking OP's" album. Which is an album of covers.
Love this song the video is great of him in concert over the years. Great reaction
