This one had been verified to have been in combat in Europe during WWI. I often wonder at the heartbreaking stories it could tell. No real point to my story just a neat connection

They weren't given much of an option. If they didn't they would be shot by an officer for cowardice in the face of the enemy. So it was face certain death by your own officers or face possible death at the hands of the enemy.
99bulldog well... it was less that and more you can do 3 things. 1, HOPE that the machine guns miss you. 2, HOPE that if you return to the trench the officer is a wimp, or 3, HOPE that the enemy advances before you do and you kill them all. the only thing you could do was hope you don't die.

The French uniform during early WWI was a leftover of the 19th century, when everybody loved dressing up in bright colors during battle. On the other hand, the French were also the first to adopt a steel helmet.

A number of months later the senior teachers including Jesse were called into the Principal's office and told they were fired and they had basically trained their replacements, who were ok with being paid less than their predecessors. When I heard this I had no trouble believing it as this shit happens all the time. In retrospect is must have happened to at least five of my favourite teachers when I was in high school, as they just up and left very quickly only to be replaced with shit younger "teachers" that knew jack shit about what they were teaching. The best and most capable teachers get sacked and replaced with worse and less experienced teachers. Fuck the education system.

Before that he claims to have been "voice acting", since he only mentioned that during his early RUclips days. He can't have been teaching for more than a couple of years (most as internship), and if then he was replaced it was either due to ineptitude or cutbacks. If it was the later, he could have easily found another teaching job in one of the states. He studied to be a teacher and he gave it up in a couple of years. That is NOT an awesome teacher, and that was the original statement of this conversation.

On a side note it is nice WW1 is finally being represented in videogames, yeah I'm sure there is few other examples but this game does it the best It seems. America will learn about something they were only involved in at the very end of this war.

Coalman yeah i know, even though nazi didn't exist on ww1, it's just weird seeing the contrast of the two, wolfenstein being a "arcade-ish" shooter where you just kill nazis (a more child-like imagination for a storyline) with a "realistic" graphic, while valiant hearts is based on actual history, and have more emotional vibe to it, yet it has a very colourful and cartoon-ish art style.

Did you have to tell that Ubisoft gave you this for free. With all their extremely negative Press in the last couple of Weeks because of the W_D Drama and the downgrading of PC Versions for WD and Farcry 4 this is not a good thing. Why would channels who easily make 6 figures a Year hell some make 7 figures in half a year need their games for free. Still going to enjoy it. People who are watching; I recommend you also see the movie joyeux noel. It is played out during christmas eve of world war one 1914 and the soldiers involved in it. It is a great movie and I really recommend people to watch it.

It happened in US that they changed Hamburgers to Salisbury Steak and Frankfurter to Hot Dogs or anything not german.
I hope this game includes the Christmas where the German and British both got out of their trenches and no one shot but they played a game of football (not American football) its one of the most famous scenes of war ever

Sure, the thing with WD is a PR disaster, but that really has no bearing on this. If anything, giving the game to Jesse for free should net them some bonus points.
Seriously though, this is just free advertising. They make money, Jesse makes money, RUclips makes money, we get to watch Jesse play an awesome game, everybody wins.
Jesse is doing this to be transparent, to avoid certain dramas.........but this is the internet, drama can't be avoided.

I have to agree with azanure he is trying to transparent also why care he isn't a reviewer per se? Ubisoft does this so they get a word out of this glorious game and Jesse is a rather big youtuber so they see it as a way to advertise the game with very little to pay in for you give away a few copies maybe a few hundred lost but compared to an average marketing budget that is very little lost

1:28- In England, they even made their own equivalent of Freedom Fries (But with violence and much more serious).
- German immigrants got attacked due to fear of them as saboteurs.
- The royal family changed their german name (Saxo Gotha) to english one (Hanover).
- German Shepherd changed to Alsatian.
- Daschhund got massacred.
It happened in US that they changed Hamburgers to Salisbury Steak and Frankfurter to Hot Dogs or anything not german.
I hope this game includes the Christmas where the German and British both got out of their trenches and no one shot but they played a game of football (not American football) its one of the most famous scenes of war ever
