- Here's another manufacturer from the Born Free show. Great family. The LePeras have been in business making seats since their dad started the business back in 1972. Bob Senior is gone and certainly not forgotten. Bob Junior and his sister Christine are still at it making great stuff and giving great service.

There were 3 companies which supplied the seats for my bikes: Bates, Corbin/Gentry and LePera. Great American-made products! I'm glad LePera is still in business! Thanks, Pacific Mike and Christine LePera.

I have been using LePera seats exclusively for 36 years. I remember my dad and I riding out to see Bob in N. Hollywood around 1988. He would come out the back door and talk with us about cars and bikes as we placed our orders for one of his awesome seats. A week later it would be ready for pickup. He was such a nice guy. I recently bought an all leather seat for my 2006 Springer. The same excellent quality. Thanks Christine and Bob jr. for keeping the tradition going!!

I just put a LePera on my ‘01 fxst - I ran the stock seat for 22 agonizing years, and now the LePera is magnificent. The seat molds to my back-end much better and has all but eliminated by consistent tail pain from riding. It was very well crafted. I won’t use any other seat going forward

LePera been my go to seat for many years. They’re the most narrow for and just the right profile for seat to handlebar comfort. Thanks for posting.

I have the Monterey Regal Plush with the gel pad and fringe. The same for the passenger seat but no fringe on it. They didn't offer fringe on the rear seat but it's extremely comfortable when I'm racking up the miles. Love my seat, Thank You La Pera...

They produce high quality stuff. I put them on happy customer's bikes for years and years.
I had flat LePera seat on my softail Evo. It's much more fasionable than comfortable :)
They have quite a selection.

Good morning, please forgive a slightly dumb question from the rolling fields of English horse-country; has anyone over there ever fitted a full 'Western Saddle' to a bike? : )
Funny you should ask. I thought about it yesterday. I wish I had a picture. Years ago, I had a customer with a Shovelhead Wideglide in Santa Maria California. That's real cowboy country. He had a full-on western horse saddle on it. Quite a sight on West Main Street at eighty mile an hour.

I really appreciate the theme. But, I'm still hung up on the "dream." I always wanted to be an old biker with old bikes and a California history. I was never even a surfer (though I spent many years at the beach). I was actually born an old biker. I know bikers who are cowboys and bikers who are fishermen. I'm just what Hal Robinson always called "Scooter Trash."
Nice dream. I grew up between two rural RAF stations & wanting to ride a Manx Norton in the IoM TT races. Heroes? Joey Dunlop, Graham Hill & Dr. John Hinds (check him out, the man was quality - 'More cases from the races - John Hinds', is a good intro vid.)
Cartoonists? Ron Cobb, Gary Larson & whoever did the 'Wizard of Id'! : )
We've lived in a great time with great "Heroes." And, they were and are, "approachable." Oddly enough, those stiil around occasionally show up at the Long Beach Ca. Motorcycle Swap Meet. My old friend Alan Spears, actually had a Norton Manx that he raced in the sixties. Willow Springs, Carlsbad, Stardust in Vegas, Riverside. My dad used to ride around Pasadena with the Milne Brothers in the thirties. I really love all the machines from those times. They had a romance about them that modern technology cannot duplicate. I managed Alan's racing and the early Honda race bikes are still sounding magically in my head. We actually raced for Kawasaki 'til I got in a hassel with them. Ah, the sixties.
