At the end, Jeremy says, "And that's why you don't see many people swimming." After he spent at least 20 minutes in that same water lol. Crazy guy

Its surprising how 4lbs can feel like 100. Youd think it be lighter but ppl and animals have lungs which helps us float. But when you got something yanking on you it makes it hard as hell.

I guess it has to do with density. We're only able to float because we have approximately the density as the water. Bigger people would still be able to float because weight increases more or less proportionally to volume. Those weights are much more dense than a human body.
This also makes me think that fish might not find it as easy to pull you down as he suggests they do, because fish's body's density is also close to water's. But if the fish is used to going deep and can quickly increase its density by expelling air, then you're in trouble.

25# of dead weight is not quite the same as 25# of neutrally buoyant fish. A fish would need to be able to exert 25# of FORCE, which would likely be a fish of at least 50-75#. Most of that is pushing power, though. Very few fish have the ability to “pull” i.e. they have a good forward but no reverse.

What if the fish is strapped to your leg and not going backward but forward? And how much weight can a fish push?

That is rather unnerving because we have stripers and catfish reportedly in that range.

25 pounds of force would require a much larger fish than 25 pounds. A fish is neutral in water so it has to actually generate more force than the human while gripping the human somehow. So how big and how much can they generate? Would have to do experiments I suppose.
