Repotting Easy Air-Layered Ficus, Tiger Bark Ficus, Oct2023

Repotting Tiger bark ficus. This is the easy air-layered Ficus started last year. Quickening the maturity of a tree is making it look old faster. Two ways to do this is by Air-Layering a matured tree top, and the technique I show here, and a secret Bonsai shortcut by swapping position of the apex with a branch; the small (less vigorous) branch becomes the apex, and the large (more vigorous) apex becomes a branch.
The art of propagating is definitely an artistry.. There are many techniques and ways to achieve the same goal. Air Layering is the process of cloning a plant while it's still attached to the parent plant.
