Unfortunately, this channel has been demonetized by RUclips for the third time and therefore the Game Movie Vault has been closed. It was fun for over 10 years but I can no longer afford to spend the time to make these videos without being reimbursed by RUclips. I have started a second channel that focuses on Diablo 4 and I am thinking of starting another separate Game Lore channel very soon.

I was blown away in 2005 when this came out actually. Nobody was talking about it and it's release felt like a secondary market, puppy mill, one-off, but I thought it was freakin' awesome! The entire time I played it, I was like, why am I the only person playing this game?
Notable among the voice actors are David Duchovny as Ethan Cole, Marilyn Manson as Edgar the ancient and powerful Grey, Powers Boothe as Major Bridges, Nolan North as McCan, and Ian Abercrombie as Dr. Winston Cray.

it is sad they dont make games like this anymore. Back when they were still kinda experimenting with stuff and willing to take a hit or at the very least play around with various settings and stories. Now just seems like alot of stuff is recycled or done poorly. This while aged still has an appeal to it.
Had similar experince, basically my best friend in highschool at the time and I were tge only people in our frienda group playing this game back in 2005
I remember playing this as a kid and i was like "cole really sounds like agent fox Mulder" 18 years later when looking up this game and sat down to play it i was like "no way this mulder" and then i look up this video.
I love how they threw the conspiracy of the moon, landing being a hoax in the area 51 game

This game scared the hell out of me. Did you know that the Demo and the Real game had different ways of doing things.
Oh, yeah, I remember. I played the demo that came with Mortal Kombat Deception. Loved it so much that I later rented the game when it was released. I kind of miss being able to go to video stores and rent physical copies of movies and games. Of course, I'm a pc gamer now, but it's still nice to browse the movie selection in an actual store. It was a nice weekend tradition.

That'll never happen, I don't think. Midway doesn't exist anymore, does it? Who'd own the rights? Don't get me wrong, I'd pay an undisclosed amount for a remaster, but I don't think it'll happen, as unfortunate as it is...fckn love this game!
I loved this game as a kid! It had just the right balance of action and tense, creepy moments. Would be nice to get a remake, but that's not likely to happen.
It’s always the gems that won’t get a remake but hey we’ll get Mario party 40 in a couple weeks
This game was a unique part of our gaming lives. It was something different we got back then. There was so much more focus on a more quality product than what we get now these days.

However creepy he is, the giant alien just giving cole the chance to save his people and his world is actually kinda sweet.

Yeah, and even the game graphics aren't particularly terrible by todays standards. Especially for a game from 15 years ago!
As a kid who couldn't afford multiple games, those discs filled with demos really did the trick
(Edit: think it the discs were from that "game informer" magazine I believe it was called. Sound familiar to anyone?)

By far one of my favorite games. Advanced for the time.
Yeah, I especially liked that you could dual-wield the assault rifle! Then again, it was a relatively lightweight and compact weapon. Almost more of an SMG, especially if it weren't chambered in a rifle caliber.

This game terrified me as a kid but my dad played the entire game after I refused to play it anymore,good memories.
This game was great! And having david duchovny voice Cole was a great move! Damn midway was putting out so many great games at the time like the suffering as well.

I absolutely loved this game when I was younger. A remastered version could hold some real potential given the advancements.

Great game. The VAs, lore, and detail put into the game made it very immersive. I fondly remember when I first tried to buy the game, I was about 11-12, the cashier wouldnt sell it to me because it was rated M. Went to another store in the mall and here you go, enjoy. Fun times.

This is Ron not Gilbert , his cousin , I had this game when it came out and I thought it kicked ass big time . I'm 49 now and it's still a bad Ass game . Midway probably got closed because they probably hit to close to home with this game . Awesome ! PEACE OUT !

I loved this game back in the day. Marilyn Manson did an excellent job voice acting in it (he played the voice of the possessed, floating bodies that talk to you in the game.)
These cutscenes were ahead of their time. This is what I'd like a scifi Area 51 movie to be like.

They made Blacksite: Area 51 which was somewhat of a sequel but not really and didn't have the character the first one had.
This needs a remaster so badly!!!
Better controls, and better graphics, but no political additions than what it already has. This game is 9.5/10 perfect in my eyes!!
Also is the guy who voices Cole the same guy who's in the Xfiles? It really sounds like him.

I remember watching that cutscene of the scientist asking for help, that was scary as hell for me when I was younger. I then forgot about the game but that damn scene was still in my head. One day I had enough, searched for it and found it. I played the game and it was nice.

yea of course it’s not in here.. don’t know why exactly but it makes sense it’d be left out. the guy in that cutscene talks about vaccines and monitoring the population in all sorts of ways
