It was fun for over 10 years but I can no longer afford to spend the time to make these videos without being reimbursed by RUclips. i finished this game shortly after release and i must say that this is a far more pleasant way to experience it than actually playing.

I hope some studio will revive this game again because it was a very good one. I've played a lot of horror games and in terms of atmosphere this game is second only to Silent Hill. I'm really disappointed this game never got the attention it deserved because it is very scary and it did something that a few horror games did at the time. Remember this is a 2007 game.
I think a proper remake is needed. Nothing that really changes anything substantial, just some better controls and some added story elements

I heard that part of the reason the ending is so disappointing is because it was rewritten last minute. Apparently the thing the Firstborn didn't have but wanted was a soul, partially because it was being magically enslaved by Ereskirgal, the priestess who opened the first breach, and a soul is what allows a person to resist magical enslavement. Which makes the beginning make more sense.
the ending was rewritten because the server that held all of the games files from code to textures caught fire and that caused them to lose like 30%-40% of what they had and instead of delaying the game to recode the last 30ish %, they just rewrote the ending and released the game how we know it
@@togakai2703 sounds like bs, much of this correlates to real events, is it to far beyond comprehension to suggest that somebody wanted the story or ending changed or tweaked? Whatever the motive behind such a decision may be? Sounds logical to me.
When I played this as a kid, seeing Cole and Jones die right in front of me gave me the fear of losing any main character in a video game. It conceived and birthed that exact fear that no character is safe in telling a story.
I recently thought of this game, and what it gave me, and what I should always be afraid of.

The fact that Cole was your first woman crush made you have a good impression on her character until the exact moment she was taken, and that can be applied to any character. I want to revolve around that hysteria in my works, I want people to be invested in my characters and slowly learn that not even the most popular and important characters are invincible and safe from plot armor, in a way that feels realistic. One of the BEST game stories that never made it to the screen in my opinion.
The storyline had me hooked from start to finish. Gameplay was abit repetitive, but the storyline had SO much potential that never came to light.
Would love for a major producer (game or movie) to get hold of this and make another one happen.

I miss playing this game, I don't care what other gamers say about this game I love it. This game has awesome characters with their own unique supernatural abilities & weapons. it also has badass enemies & bosses, and lot's of history lore's that make the plot of the game more perfect

This game truly was incredible. Despite the comments of repetitive gameplay, this was an amazing game.

@@michozuna3735 Peoples problem with this game is it was honestly too difficult for them. The way enemies spawned could quickly overwhelm you and a lot of people didn't like that. However, the tools the game gave you like the cool guns and special abilities made it simply awesome. Plus the kill effects in the game were ahead of their time as well. Do not get me wrong, the game could have been better but I mean think about how much better it is than so many of these "modern" shooters we have right now. I would love to see another game like this. In my opinion the game competes right along side Dead Space. The game is 'uncomfortable' to play because of the horror element, gunplay is good and it had a pretty decent story. I would love to see another one.

One of my proudest 100% 360 games. This was a really enjoyable, and frustratingly challenging experience. Worthy of a movie adaption for sure.
Atleast Leach realized the mistakes he's made and decided to put an end to it himself. A hero he truly is.
Sir Richard de Gray can manipulate physical matter without physical interaction, i.e. 'Telekinesis' - but unlike the similarly gifted Abigail Black of modern day times, he presumably wields nothing else but his sword; making him a medieval jedi knight that uses the force, for lack of a better term. That's pretty fucking scary if you're some saracen whose assumption that seven men would be easy pickings after a biblical-scale massacre doesn't end well.
Nowhere is this mentioned or even brought up in-game or in the dossier. He was likely the most powerful of his templar brethren, and this power combined with his martial skill is likely what has allowed him to endure for eight fucking centuries in purgatory.
And for another matter, what powers did the other templars have? Where are they? What power did the Mad Hatter Templar possess before he committed suicide?
This game left a lot of really cool questions unanswered, but I still love it.

For me, this is the best game ever made in the world for its time. Great story, being a leader of a squad with 7 people, controlling all other characters when the leader dies(not all of him ^^), Every character has an uniqe ability, every character designed meticulously, animations, not cringe and some funny dialogues... Dude they really gave so much effort to this game and this game released in 2007. Oh my lord. Such a Masterpiece.
That voice actor, jeeeez he's in almost everything, his vocal chords are a tank! I first knew him as Wolverine. God bless this guy, he's awesome.

this is really some next gen mechanics here! the body swapping, the squad commands what a gem this game is! such a shame it wasn't continued. Dev's these days could learn a lesson from this title. Even has a solid story.

i loved this game, I don't understand the bad reviews. On the PC, this was awesome. I guess I can understand this shooter being difficult on the console. This was still an epic game for me.

I played this on the XBOX 360 around the time it came out, but I don't remember having problems with it. Difficult at times, but never in a broken or overly-frustrating way.
I still play it. It might be the most underrated PS3 game of all time.

You'd be hard pressed to find any other game title that can keep up a solid story like Jericho did, even in a horror aspect; it's uniqueness, while not exactly setting a new precedent, is something that shouldn't be overlooked when your setting up characters and a universe of this magnitude.It's unfortunate about the ending, and i'll always crave a sequel, but even on the spot, it's hard to follow that.

One thing never made sense to me at the end of the game: how could Cole still be an atheist after everything they experienced? Wouldn't going to what's essentially Hell to stop a creature literally created by God shake up your non-belief?

The dialogue in this game is brilliant IMO.
This game serves a remake in next gen with an expansion DLC for the Blackwatch (the British Troops in this game) along with having the same plot and characters but more updated for the Xbox Series X and Playstation 5.
It would be great if they went with the alternate ending 🙂

Never knew about this game. But story is cool enough for a movie or short series. Even a hd remake game would be cool. Squad based games like this were popular back then and it's always cool to have different characters adding something to the team.

Also it's alot like Doom 3! And Prey 2006. Both of those games feel like they'd fit in well in the same Universe. Doom 3 especially I love that game.
I wasn't able to play Jericho because it was too hard I got like 10 minutes in. But after watching this entire video I am totally hooked and obsessed it looks badass! I'm gonna try playing again and on easy difficulty this time lol. Like the game looks so epic based on cutscenes alone I bet there's way cooler stuff in gameplay
I loved how they went back in time too that's badass. Like I love Roman History....imagine if it was Julius Caesar or someone like that who was opening the rift! I think this was during Nero's Reign though the Antichrist 666.....

Historically (especially in WW2-Cold War era) militaries all over the world utilized occult practices in warfare.
Another source of inspiration, though not based on real world sources, stems from Clive Barker who is most known for creating the Hellraiser film franchise (the movies with Pinhead and the Cenobites).
And at the end I think you mean Pyxis, the prison of the Firstborn in the game. Mythologically there is no realm called the Pyxis. The name might be a reference to a Greek pyxis which is a type of container which would make sense since the Pyxis in the game is a container for the Firstborn, but honestly I think they just chose that for the name because it sounds cool.

He decided to go in a journey where he can find his destiny and fate when traveling in India he found a beggar and helped the beggar out of starving he gave the beggar a coins the beggar gave him the box.
Once Adam got back from the hotel he opened the box the cenobites come to give Adam the legendary taste of torture he always wanted all of his body is constructed with pins naked he only wear boxer briefs with nothing to wear except for pins in his body and head.
Players Gameplay: The players needs to find all boxes solve it for 5 minutes players needs to find 10 boxes to finish the game and go back home to earth realm.
Cenobites: There's a lot of cenobite character to choose from to win the game the cenobites player need to stop the player from opening the box kill all player and turn them into cenobites if the player character is a girl that girl will become a cenobites breeder for Adam ogilvie if the character is a guy then it will be turn out to be cenobites or dislocated.
