When you go online to try to learn how to do certain things, you run into a lot of fakes and scammers who just want you to trust them and trust that they are who they say they are and pay for consultations and shit for you to get simple questions answered. I was raised spending much time with an extremely religious 7th day Adventist grandmother who calls basically everything evil and always scared me from doing any spiritual work or trusting my intuition. She would tell me it’s the devil yadayada. I’ve always been very very intuitive and also protected by something I have always called God. As a child I had many spirits and things come to me and try to reach out and I would pray for them to go away, and they would. Some I’m sure were not so kind. I got into the law of attraction about 3 years ago and manifested my 2 beautiful children and the life we have now💜 I recently got some crystals and began smudging my home and space and calling out to my spirit guides. I’m very interested in this stuff and would love to get deeper but I still hold onto the fear that it is against God and I may be working with evil. I have been on my joinery to discover who I truly am and Who god truly is to me and I’ve been led to recently believe that maybe the God who protects me and communicates with me is different from the one religion teaches us about. I’ve always known there’s something higher than myself that is also good but I’ve never resonated with the demanding, hateful and boastful god I have been taught about in religion. May I ask, what are your thoughts on “God” and do you include him in your rituals and go to him for Protection ? Sure, definitely! My point is always that following what feels right to you and what makes you feel closer to your highest purpose is important. A lot of people want to know if atheism has a place within this realm and I believe that it can. And absolutely if one finds that a diety ends up connecting with them or vice versa, then wonderful!
Mintfaery An atheist would most definitely be able to take part. I mean a deity doesn’t necessarily mean a higher being, a “god”. Just a being that we’re not able to perceive at certain vibrations/frequencies. All in all I don’t think “magic” is anything other worldly, just something that we as humans have forgotten. Something that has been suppressed through the times for whatever reason. It’s all from within .... I’m still learning though.

Personally, I think you should research a bit before doing a whole spell! I’m still a relatively baby witch (it’s been 6-7 months now) I haven’t done a whole spell yet- I would advise learning more and doing smaller things like spell jars and cleansing before a big protection like this! (Protection jars work great for me)

I was raised spending much time with an extremely religious 7th day Adventist grandmother who calls basically everything evil and always scared me from doing any spiritual work or trusting my intuition. Hi I am new to all of this this I have found it really strong inside ever since I've been 9 I am now 35 I have ignored it and pushed it to the side for too long I really feel it's time now I am ready t.i. am drawn to Crystal I even got addicted to find it it was so powerful this was about 3 years ago I would never ever take too much for mother Earth or abused mother Earth ever crystal choose to be with me that is how I found it inside my chest and it guided me right to it every time I'm but I seemed to enjoy that feeling so much I couldn't stop myself from going up the hills and finding it all the time I had a pretty bad night last night before I went to sleep lately I've been discovering so much inside myself and I really feel it's time I'm I am going out now to the charity shops to try and find a vessel that I can stick water in so I can start I really feel like I need actually water in a vessel for my water element water is my element as well so I really need the real thing so I'm going to find something that I am drawn to to put it in in and start Gathering my tools I don't really know what I'm doing and I am dyslexic so I am going to find it hard to read the books but I'm very determined I'm going to start writing in my notebook all of these feelings and for some reason I seem to know what I need to get I don't know how I've never spoke to anybody about this ever before for but since I was 9 year old I didn't know until I probably thought about it recently I have been around quite a few witches and I didn't realise this it had been putting stuff into me without me knowing I think they realised I also have a strong third Eye if I close my eyes I can see things not like you do with your eyes it's more like looking at objects it is really weird to explain but is getting really strong and I feel it's definitely time now now to start this journey if you wouldn't mind helping me out I would really appreciate it because I've watched a few people and for some reason there is a very strong connection with the things you are seeing I don't know why but I feel like you're my teacher if you don't mind I would appreciate any help 🤗🤗

No, not at all!! Your practice can be what you want and you definitely dont have to pick or work with dieties of it isn't your thing.

Sure, definitely! My point is always that following what feels right to you and what makes you feel closer to your highest purpose is important. A lot of people want to know if atheism has a place within this realm and I believe that it can. And absolutely if one finds that a diety ends up connecting with them or vice versa, then wonderful!
Mintfaery An atheist would most definitely be able to take part. I mean a deity doesn’t necessarily mean a higher being, a “god”. Just a being that we’re not able to perceive at certain vibrations/frequencies. All in all I don’t think “magic” is anything other worldly, just something that we as humans have forgotten. Something that has been suppressed through the times for whatever reason. It’s all from within .... I’m still learning though.

Personally, I think you should research a bit before doing a whole spell! I’m still a relatively baby witch (it’s been 6-7 months now) I haven’t done a whole spell yet- I would advise learning more and doing smaller things like spell jars and cleansing before a big protection like this! (Protection jars work great for me)
