Thanks for the video Ryan, after watching it for the first time I ordered some snares and went and set them the same way you did in this video and caught my first beavers on the ice today! I have always tried 330's under the ice with no luck but the snares sure do work! Thanks again and good luck trapping.
Ryan, nice job, I wish we could snare under ice here in CT. I've had those 8' logs in a 330 and had to chop a lot of ice to get my trap back. Always enjoy your stuff. Thanks again
I am going to Wetaskiwin in February to snare beaver under the ice with my brother, like you said I don't do it for the money but it's a good way to finish the season. Drink some beer skin some beavers and trap with my bro.
Thanks for the video Ryan. Yet again setting the standard on trapping videos. I agree with other comments that this is the best video I have seen for under ice snaring. Is the 6th still a go at the RG Cabelas?
+logan scutt I don't have many mink around here. I've never had a single muskrat or beaver ever nibbled on by a mink. If there's mink or otter in your area, they could definitely be a problem
Great video Ryan. By far the best instructional video on you tube by far

Great information. I agree, you made the absolute best beaver trapping under the ice video ever. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge!
That was the best instruction on under ice trapping I have ever seen. Not that we get much opportunity for it here in Georgia.
Thanks for showing how you lace the eye and the wire. Very helpful.

Fantastic video, very good description of the what and whys. Thank you Ryan!
I hope you make another video when you check the set. Good video and a neat way to catch beaver.
Thank you! Very good info as we started our trapping this year. We drilled holes all over a similar house trying to figure it out today. This helps!
Really nice Ryan. Would like to see the video in a couple of days when you check them. Here's to hoping for a double!
Great video. Good info!
Great instruction vid Ryan....thanks for sharing. ................cheers.
I love snaring beaver under the ice !! Little bit of work but worth it . Thanks Ryan. Migwech
Thanks a lot you explain things well, will give it a try.
nice video Ryan.
Thanks for sharing
very interesting and well explained. thumbs up
Good looking sets!
Very good video, I hope you post one of your beaver catches thru the ice. What are coyotes going to average this year?
I don't even trap beaver but i loved your video
Great video Ryan. Need a lock with the break-a-way?
No. a lock won't hurt but it's not required under the ice. You're not going to kill the beaver with the snare, just hold it there until it drowns
What size cable do you use - I used 1/16 1x19 before
great sets got to love trapping beaver through the ice
nicely done
NIICE!
Should be a good check when you go back. Later and all the best.
Thanks man...see I just leaned another way to do it..

+SKTrapper Yeppers. I'll be there on the 6th
the municipality pays me $40 per beaver under the problem beaver program otherwise i wouldnt be doing it either.
You don't even use locks! , do they ever get away?
No. Underwater snares don't require locks. If you wish to use locks it won't hurt
the my not spoil but mink will eat then
