I found my way to the War Zone without knowing what kind of area it was for one reason and that reason was Griff's. 😂 There's multiple locations in the DFW so when I seen ABQ had one I had to make that pilgrimage while I was out there. It's just like any other rough area in any major city. Mind your business and dont go looking for any trouble, although it wouldn't hurt to be prepared for it; and more often then not you'll leave in one piece. Shout out to Nuevo Mexico though Its a beautiful place with beautiful people and culture.

THE most dangerous city I ever lived in. The comments here that say "not so bad"....compared to what? Prison? Trust me, this is a thoroughly dangerous town, and this ain't even the war Zone! Everyone is so beat down, nothing positive anywhere. Women clutching their purses inside grocery stores, the Walmart at San Mateo near Zuni had to close due to the crime and homeless problem. They have to get the FBI involved to catch any criminals, and then the courts let them right back onto the streets the same day because the state legislator decided that bail is not fair. And what do the felons do when they get out of jail? Commit more felonies. Just a nuts place on every level.
Never, never, never any uplifting stories from Albuquerque, other than I was lucky enough to escape alive after being attacked right out of nowhere 3 times, and I'm a street smart dude! Serious mental health problems, crime in ALL the neighborhoods, just read their paper or look at any of the local news outlets sometime. An extremely abnormal society, where a friend had a young nephew that was so happy that his dad had been in the same prison as his friend's dad. No, I am not making this up, the crazy and abnormal is just Abq normal. Thug Town.
