@bulldogsfan it definitely has an interactive feel to it, but it isn't really realistic. and it's really easy. It gives you instructions throughout an operation and you have to finish the operation before the patient's vitals goes to zero. But you see the antibiotic gel that they use during the operation in the video? When you're patient's vitals are low just use it until it goes back up again.
Continue: I personally loved this portion of the game. I found the story particularly interesting. Atlus did a lot better on the story than in previous Trauma center game. If anyone would like me to post a video of me playing the game, please say so. Please refrain from leaving negative comments. Thanks for reading.
Yes, but all the previous games were solely based on surgery. I bet this one will have plenty surgical missions too. I mean, they can't just give it the same importance as the other 5 new medical specialties. Surgery was what made the trauma series so popular, they can't just push it aside. At least I wish they don't.
Ah yes, judging the game before playing it is the best way to evaluate a game's worth or difficulty, of course. I'm glad they're changing the gameplay to make the game feel less "samey" which was a complaint about some of the previous games in the series. Even without the timer, there are PLENTY of ways to make the missions difficult.
this is one of the best wii games i played and i played a whooole bunch. the story line was pretty cool, the voice acting was actually really good. each character had a different type of gameplay. my favorite parts were the autopsies and the diagnostics. i really hope they make another one. as a fan of old adventure games and sherlock holmes novels, this fits nicely next to them on my shelf.... i mean they're separate shelves, but the same book case... man i'm really drunk right now vodka good.
It looks absolutely fantastic. The blood pools look like pink balloons, though. I hope those acquainted with the series will not have to constantly watch those help icons. For the rest, I'm still really excited. Can't wait to see some more vids.
I feel like noting that it doesn't specify that the timer is -always- gone. Chances are we're going to still be dealing with a few hectic missions. Either that or, given Trauma Team will probably continue to have multiple difficulty levels, we can probably expect for things like the "Easy display" to be removed on Hard and/or timers to return. I'm really hoping that's the case; after four games, I'm hoping there's at least some challenge remaining.
Oh man. This game is going to be good! I am loving the no timer. Sure it was fun, but the trade off is worth it. It gives you more time to look at the finer details of the game and its environment. You get to examine the graphics and all its glory. Man....I want this game!!! But I don't have a wii.....
dont mind the new graphics but why do they gotta show you for evrything all the things you got to do? is there gonna be a suture sign for evry wound? hopefully not ...iam still getting it anywayXP
@RightChocobo well.... at least when you TRY to play it on WII you get the feeling... because doing that kind of GAME without timer. fells like... this gonna be a piece of cake
I always thought the vitals were enough of a time limit. Also, there were times where I was closing up the patient at the end, then time ran out and I had to start over.
@Remaix Oh my God, I know! In the DS version of Under the Knife 1 I had like 20 seconds left and just had to put on the bandage - and not only did it keep giving me fails ( I guess the correct way to place a bandage is slightly crooked. and yes, I have re-aligned my screen like three times) and because of that I failed the operation.
Guys, because of the lack of the timer, that means everything else will be turned up. It won't be easier, it will probably be harder to keep your patient alive while operating on them.
When will there be an Xbox version of Trauma Team released? I played the Wii version at a friends house recently and loved it. I'm use to the controller for 360, not the Wiimote and nunchuck.
@GraveyG2 Also, why can't there be like, a veteran mode, where there's a timer, and there's real looking blood?? :/ As is the blood now kind of creeps me out, but it didn't before.
It would be funny if there was a video game series like this except that cars replace patients and mechanics replace doctors. The games' names would probably be these: Car Mechanic: Under The Hood Car Mechanic: Second Thought Car Mechanic: New Gas (or Car Mechanic: New Oil) Car Mechanic: Under the Hood 2 Car Mechanic Team (or Mechanic Team) =D
I own this game and these are my thoughts on the surgery portion of the game: I've only played one other game in the series, and that was TC: UTK2, and the controls of the surgery portion of the game's vary from UTK2. For example, the nunchuck is used to scroll through the tools. There are also a few new challenges in certain surgeries, like a time limit, or losing a freaking NEEDLE in the freaking PAITENT!
It looks like the difficulty is decreasing. Did you see how slow the defibrillator gauge moved? The removal of the timer wouldn't do much if the vitals didn't drop more slowly -- which it looks like they are. Plus all the "for dummies" icons to tell you what to do next cluttering up the screen... it looks like Trauma Team is going to be like playing a Very Easy mode of Trauma Center :(
Yeah the timer did add to the challenge, but sometimes it gets had to focus under the pressure of a timer, where you're watching the clock and not focusing on the task at hand, but yeah just saying. Yes and I agree the blood looks like jelly, the crystallization of the body parts...actually looks pretty cool.
2 anyone who doesn't like the fact that there r no timers in most of the ops...there may not be a timer but u'd still have 2 be quick cuz in most of the ops u have 2 complete it in a certain amount of time in order 2 get the highest ranking. if u can complete an op in like 2 mins and u take like 3 or 4 mins 2 complete it, u'll be getting an A instead of S. mostly it doesn't tell u when 2 complete it but there are some which does. i think in the first surgery op u have 2 complete it in 90 secs.
I LOVE these games! This version of Trauma Center was my first time playing it on Wii- The DS versions won me over so I just had to have it for Wii too! I like the surgery. It looks like CR-S01 might be one of the sin children from the Under the Knife sereis...Hmmm..
I really don't get why everyone gets mad about the missing time limit. If you liked the pressure so much, just try to finish the operation as fast as possible, for instance?
Also, I'm pretty sure the purpose of showing videos is to get people to "judge" the game, anyway. They did not put them up for some kind of academic analysis or something. They want people to see the game, "judge" it positively, and purchase it. Me stating my opinions of what I've seen so far is nothing worthy of criticism, in my opinion. I think that everyone should have the right to see the videos and form an opinion of what they show. That's the purpose of the videos anyway.
I hope it have online scoring like New Blood, or at least that it saves hi-scores for competition, it makes the game pretty fun to revisit. Looking fun so far though =)
There's nothing wrong with having an opinion or impression. However, the original comment sounded like an absolute "This game = Very Easy Mode," since "It looks like" doesn't necessarily imply "In my opinion." Just a heads up for next time. Speculation and impressions are all we can say without being able to play the game now. :P Well, either way, I hope the difficulty won't be an issue in the game even with the removal of the timer and some of the changes like the defibrillator timing.
Are you responding to me? I was communicating my impression of the game from what I have seen so far. I even clearly said things like "it looks like," meaning that my statements were expression what it looked like to me. I think gameplay videos are a good way to tell what the game looks like. You are also "judging" the game by saying you're glad to see it changing, just like I'm saying I'm sad to see those changes. Because I am not impressed by what I've seen so far makes us no different.
-What the hell did you do to the blood!!?!? NOOOOOOOO!!!! -Also, the no timer is a -1 for me. D: I loved the pressure of the time in the missions. -And what is up with the comic-like speech bubbles???? They look awful. ]-: But apart from that, it looks great. Hope those 3 things don't ruin the game. I had such high expectations from it.
@AmeKiyaru I'm not mad over it, it's just the timer gave it a challenge, you know like being a real doctor where they work against the clock and every precious second ccounts.
The lack of a timer makes sense, really. "Alright, I'm almost done treating this patient. I just need to close him up... suture... and now for the banda-" "Oh my god, five minutes have passed! Leave." "But... I... I just need to apply the b-" "Did I STUTTER? Leave! Leave and never come back! You'll never practice medicine again! DX " "But... but I... D: "
some characters look like from trauma center SO like the surgery guy looks like that guy that created the lazer for pempty and the silver-head guirl looks like kimishyma
@Rhaxma A cyrogenic prison? Well, if that's the case... CRS01: I WAS FROZEN TODAY!!! If you've never seen the Nostalgia Critic's review of "Suburban Commando," you won't get this, but I couldn't resist.
I do like this game except the blood does look weird like cherry jello.. i guess maybe its easier in the gamer's sense to clean up.. but it still looks kinda weird i liked the way the blood looked before loL and it looks like there's shadows of designs on all the organs.. i dunno kinda weird looking but i love this game!
No because someone can die in five minutes from glss shards or loss of blood during a car accident. But it's ok now. I just hope they don't take the challenge away.
No time limit?? WHAT?? I play Trauma Center because it simulates the stress of actually being in an operating room. :( :( :( :( How am I going to get my stress with no timer???
Yeah, but they can't just leave surgery behind and focus only on the new gameplay types. I mean, the trauma series is what it is because of it's surgical action. They can't just give it the same importance as they do to the other new medical types. At least I hope they don't.

The developers comfirmed that Trauma Team will only focus on realistic operations, therefore there won't be any parasites stuff in it. ^^
Yes, but all the previous games were solely based on surgery. I bet this one will have plenty surgical missions too.

I felt that the timer only works on guilt patients because after 5 mins guilt takes over the body
It looks absolutely fantastic. The blood pools look like pink balloons, though.
I hope those acquainted with the series will not have to constantly watch those help icons.
For the rest, I'm still really excited. Can't wait to see some more vids.
I can't wait to see what the diagnosis and forensic gameplay is like. I wonder if you get to do autopsies in this game.
@Sobol14 Maybe they'll have an option where you can turn off hints and I like the fact not having a timer, I could focus better.
I feel like noting that it doesn't specify that the timer is -always- gone. Chances are we're going to still be dealing with a few hectic missions.

I'm really hoping that's the case; after four games, I'm hoping there's at least some challenge remaining.
Also, I just thought of something: if they're going for more realistic setting, will there be no Healing Touch?
Atlus USA, when will the next trauma center title be announced? It's been over a year now.
@AtlusUSA So how come The first three were released in Europe and the UK?
Don't forget that surgery is no longer the only gameplay type in the game ;)
Does Docter C have the healing touch?
does anyone know when this game comes out in the UK? :/ I can't wait
You can hear the original UtK operation briefing music in the background
Oh man. This game is going to be good! I am loving the no timer. Sure it was fun, but the trade off is worth it. It gives you more time to look at the finer details of the game and its environment. I'm soo excited for this because it looks amazing and it will be the best birthday present ever!
I like how the heart beats go wilder as the vitals drop :3
Thank you atlus for no time limit
Does this game have the healing touch?
They're playing Conference: Emergency Procedure/Conference B in this video. Just some info.
@RightChocobo well.... at least when you TRY to play it on WII you get the feeling...
because doing that kind of GAME without timer. fells like...
this gonna be a piece of cake
Can they make this for Ds? I would love to take this wherever I go!
@CutAzn
I need to give this game a try
How is the game overall CutAzn???
Looks awesome but I hope you can switch off those icons over every cut and stuff. I can see them getting in the way a little bit.
I always thought the vitals were enough of a time limit. Also, there were times where I was closing up the patient at the end, then time ran out and I had to start over.

@atlususa What happened to CR-SO1's parents?
Guys, because of the lack of the timer, that means everything else will be turned up. It won't be easier, it will probably be harder to keep your patient alive while operating on them.
@TheSlimeHunter *pempti and his name is Victor. and the silver-haired girl IS Naomi.
There are only some missions with a time limit. Like when you're operating on Alyssa.
When will there be an Xbox version of Trauma Team released? I played the Wii version at a friends house recently and loved it. I'm use to the controller for 360, not the Wiimote and nunchuck.
This is a game that uses the idea of a moving pointer, like a mouse.
Playing with a xbox 360 controller would almost be IMPOSSIBLE.
@GraveyG2 Also, why can't there be like, a veteran mode, where there's a timer, and there's real looking blood?? :/ As is the blood now kind of creeps me out, but it didn't before.
I'm interested to see how the Forensics specialties will be
@MercilessCult00 But they did. Look on Atlus's offical website.
is there even a co op mode anymore?
It would be funny if there was a video game series like this except that cars replace patients and mechanics replace doctors.
The games' names would probably be these:
Car Mechanic: Under The Hood

I love the Trauma Center games! Just beat New Blood. Loved it. Hope the cast of New Blood makes a cameo.

If they hadn't changed the look of the blood pools, the graphics would have been the best in the series so far.

What did they do to the graphics?! Looks so...blobby. Oh well, still looks fun.
There are no superviruses or Healing Touches in Trauma Team
Wrong. You still are pressured to finish quickly in order to get an XS
No timer? Kinda defeats the purpose of a challenge? OH well, game still looks nice, can't wait to play.
I really don't get why everyone gets mad about the missing time limit.
If you liked the pressure so much, just try to finish the operation as fast as possible, for instance?
No touch?

Yes, Maxy. It makes me sad too :(
I'm suddenly very happy to have a Wii!
no time limit=less pressure=better score=higher game ratings=better sales/more money
I hope it have online scoring like New Blood, or at least that it saves hi-scores for competition, it makes the game pretty fun to revisit. Looking fun so far though =)
AND IT'S ON PS3 ALSO?!?!!!!????
ITS GOTTA BE HARD TO CONTROL WITH A CONTROLER OR DOES IT USE THE PS3 EYE!?!?
PLASE TELL ME!!!!
@kaibawiz i agree and i don't like how the operation start screen looks im used to the new blood one not a guy or girl with a medical wrap
This looks amazing.
Same as you. I really hate the "blood pack" , just like a plastic pack filled with red jelly.
Megami Ibunroku Persona 5: Trauma Team
Also, Gabriel Cunningham is clearly Dr. Gregory House MD
Can't wait for this game :)

@flowerluver100 Yup...Ironically, Gabriel points out that several species of bacteria can still be cultivated at those temperatures.
-What the hell did you do to the blood!!?!? NOOOOOOOO!!!!

@tecJose123 Rip off? It's made from the same company that made Trauma Center. Or didn't you know that?
@tecJose123 This isn't a ripoff I would say, I've heard Derek is in it so I'm guessing it's either in the future or just a different setting.
No more timer simply means its not much of a challenge anymore to me :(
This game is going to be so cool :D
The lack of a timer makes sense, really.
"Alright, I'm almost done treating this patient. I just need to close him up... suture... and now for the banda-"

The blood in Trauma Center was better. But I have to admit, this looks just as fun! 8D
@Crazycolorz5 yeah i onli finded out wen i saw the forensics video
Might get this trauma game
@Rhaxma
A cyrogenic prison?
Well, if that's the case...
CRS01: I WAS FROZEN TODAY!!!
If you've never seen the Nostalgia Critic's review of "Suburban Commando," you won't get this, but I couldn't resist.
Must have been some crime. I can't even name one that would amount to that much.
Guys...its a cyrogenic prison... He's frozen for the whole sentence.
You had me at, 'No timer.' :3
Does that matter?
No Stiles? NOOO
Holy crap it's Lelouch and Light Yagami child.
No because someone can die in five minutes from glss shards or loss of blood during a car accident. But it's ok now. I just hope they don't take the challenge away.
i want this game!
I like having a challenge. Might as well play this one on Normal. If desperate, I can go to Easy.
y does blood look like cherry jello?
Yea~ I hope they change it.
I love how everyone is like "lolblood"
No time limit??
WHAT??
I play Trauma Center because it simulates the stress of actually being in an operating room. :( :( :( :( How am I going to get my stress with no timer???
id probloy lose ever minigame cuz my hands shake
@ifsey
yeah we europeans want trauma team too!
Yeah, but they can't just leave surgery behind and focus only on the new gameplay types. I mean, the trauma series is what it is because of it's surgical action.
They can't just give it the same importance as they do to the other new medical types.
At least I hope they don't.
3 people were rejected doctors
Trauma Center is better.. because it had timer..
make you feel how the doctor feels during the operation
