Hey Angela, great video. Here’s a couple of tips that you may want to consider when sublimating t-shirts. First, before you attach the design to the t-shirt, put the shirt in your press for 10 seconds to take out any moisture that may be in the air and it also flattens the material. Then after you have pressed the shirt with the design on it and removed the sublimation paper, put it back under your press, topped with butcher paper for 30 seconds. This ensures the colours stay vibrant longer when washing as it seals the ink into the fabric. I’ve been doing this sort of stuff in the uk for a long time and I’ve never had a shirt returned because of colour fade by doing what I’ve just explained. Incidentally who produces your paper roll that you use.

Baby 3.5 x 3.5, kids tees toddlers I work with 5x5 to 7 x 7, small 8x 8, medium 9 x 9, Large 9 x 9. Basically 5 fingers from each side will tell you perfectly what size to measure. You be just fine! Oh yes you can fold shirts to have a center mark and also fold the top and bottome edge to have a center mark to put against the center line crease.

Some advice. Although tape can be used, I prefer a basting spray. Some fabric will hold the tape mark. You will love the F570. I have had mine since Sept. I had a Sawgrass 800 for about 6 years before the Epson!

You can RE-use the heat transfer paper sometimes, it still comes out looking good. Only slightly not as bright

Just a little tip. You should always prepress your shirts for about 10 seconds to get rid of any moisture.

Angela they Came out so cute just got 2 shirts from your website only says you had 2, I will take a look again :)
I subliminate at 385 for 50 sec. And you will be ok. And for tumblers I have the sublimation oven of heat transfer warehouse. For pure blacks I use 180 for 6min. And other colors 185 for 6mins on the specific oven used for sublimation.
Yes, seems super easy and the outcome... WOW... its profitable and affordable.. from shirts, caps, bags, etc... etc... colors just pop with vibrancy...
Do your colors on your computer screen match the finished product? With sublimation the colors tend to be off a little

Always make sure you have good ventilation when doing sublimation. There are fumes that are given off from this process that you cannot see or smell. Protect your health guys.

What paper do you print the designs on? Where do you get the paper that you print the designs on? What printer do you use and where do you get it? What ink do you use and where do you get it? What program are you using on the computer, what website, what do I type in to Google? How do I size the photo to the paper that your using??
If you are really trying to help people the small details would be appreciated because nobody knows how to do it if you're not giving us the details.
Im getting really tired of all these people doing good work, acting like they want to help people get started, but leaving out all of the crucial details.

I have the EXACT same question
with DTG you can print direct on to cotton. All others techniques is on polyester only.

Try doing all over sublimation. It’s addictive to do on shirts etc.

You can only do light colors with sublimation. You can't sublimate dark colors, unless you sublimate on vinyl and then press that to the shirt.

If your printing your designs ahead of time make sure they stay covered and dust free. The paper attracts dust like crazy so even if you roll the ish outta the shirt it could be the paper leaving dots.

The transfers look amazing. I was wondering...Is the Epson running on toner? If so have you used it enough to gauge the cartridge(s) life span? Lovin the videos.
The smaller Epson sublimation printer comes with Epson sublimation ink in bottles similar to the ink bottles that comes with the regular Epson printers. I've had mine over a year and I have only topped off once.

I used to do sublimation but quit because I could never get the colors on my screen to match the finished product. Are you getting matching colors with the Epson?
Oh noooo! Yes I am ! With Photoshop I chose Adobe RGB1998 and chose the perceptual option and it matches exactly the same!

Yes I love sublimation. It is a very easy process as long as your colors come out correctly.
