Got to be honest man, had no idea this was Halo content until I clicked on the video. I thought this was fanfic. I’d recommend changing the name to “Halo Mythos”

I love the realistic consideration of Halo's lore. It's always been rich in scale, intensities, and authenticity. And its science-fiction has told a story of very conceivable situations between the beings of a galaxy.
The Covenant sure did well doing their own version of the exterminatus protocals with planetary glassing. It may not be immediately as wide in destruction but they do leave a mark even when they were doing their best to safeguard Forerunner relics. I do think Forerunner structures maybe strong enough to withstand glassing in a long period of time depending how they are made and what safeties they have. Forerunner metal is one tough and hard cookie to crack even with extensive glassing.
The Human Covenant War always make me realize how the StarCraft and even Babylon 5 wars were on a way smaller scale
Turning planetary crust into the most horrid and extensive version of glass is quite bad to me, even with my glances at the zaniness that is _Wahammer 40K_ . Elites gotta admit that, even at their most murderous, helped invent and field a combat strategem that stood head-and-shoulders with the most awesome in the galaxy.
On that note, is there any lore on how durable Forerunner metal is and what it is made of. I tried to find the information on Forerunner metal on many Halo lore sites but I couldn't find it.
@@thesilentscreamer1595 I would assume the dexterity of the material is likely 50-100 times stronger then tungsten here on earth not even covenant weapons burn through

The weight of responsibiity placed upon John's shoulders during what would have been Red Flag - either do the mission, or the remains of humanity _dies_ - never ceases to impress me. Even 14 (!) years after I completed the final mission in the War, the Bungie saga resonates.
I tool around, make little 'cool ideas' characters based off my favorite videogames, to kill time. I can only wish at the moment, that things click and I finish a story that even _starts_ to setup something grand like _Halo_ .
Bungie saga with 343 doing the novels were the good stuff then the forerunner trilogy is a chef kiss...
From the way the Zealot Class elites ran right through Noble Team on Reach, in close quarters no less, do you think the Zealot Class could go toe to toe with Spartan II's?

Installation 00 is the only halo lore content creator that consistently keeps me interested in Halo anymore I love to learn how all the halo tech could possibly function in detailed breakdown and I just found the Mythos series of videos.
This video is so well done, the timing of the music, the narration, editing, makes it feel like I'm watching a professionally made documentary, I love it.

Awesome video as usual from Installation00! But one small note. John did not receive Cortana because he was without equal. John was not the best, instead he was the luckiest. Only Cortana saw that statistic anomaly, thats why she chose John.
Always love these lore videos, I kinda wish that there was a spin off game or film that brought into light the events that went on before the games and delved into the early Human-Covenant War or certain Naval Battles.

Ive always wanted to have a human covenant war....but I want to see it written in a way thats subjective...neither the UNSC nor Insurecctionists are the bad guy or good guy, I want to see it in a "the expanse" way where, each side has their valid reasons for doing something, both sides have individuals that cross the line, I refuse to think the insurrectionists werent putting up a good fight...if they werent, the spartans would have neer been needed...so I want to see a game or show that shows the political and military dynamics of the universe(of course it goes withouy saying that it needs to leave real world politics of any kind out of it.)

Another Mythos video. There does seem to still be quite a lot of absent lore when it comes to the _Siege of the Inner Colonies._
Lots of stories and war statistics just waiting to be written about.
Thinking about it, while colonies are being lost at a slower rate, being inner colonies, they would tend to have larger populations so the population decline would likely still be a similar rate even with the Cole Protocol. Also is UNSC space encircled by the Covenant, or are the Covenant attacking from only just a single direction?
Regardless, yet even as the clock counts down, Humanity does show itself to fight ever more ferociously as it is cornered.

Marine during 2552: well let’s go down the list most of our colonies are burned to hell, Spartans are MIA.. I think? and the covenant found earth. The fact that I am still alive to write this speaks volumes.
I love hearing anything of the events during the around two decades of the war before the discovery of the Halo Rings. There is so much there that we hardly ever get to hear about outside of books and comics. But to me, it is the heart of the series: UNSC vs Covenant. Others will go on and on about Forerunners and the Flood, but that's of little interest to me. I want to hear and see the very human stories during those two decades. Even if they are very sad defeats for humanity.

Honestly it's sad to me that we haven't gotten more games during the middle of the war. I think that's why Halo wars was so good, it expanded the war past a few characters and a couple planets. I want more depth into the war

Can you explain to me why you just reading a script brings a chill down my spine sometimes but watching the Halo TV show makes me cringe. I personally think it's because of the passion you have for the material and how invested you are. I would 100% listen to audiobooks of you just telling halo stories. You do more of a service to the franchise than 343 does.

I am sorry but the Iroquois was not "the only survivor of the initial attack". It was the only UNSC ship close enought to respond to the attack, there were no other UNSC ships in the first engagement.
I imagine a massive refugee crisis took place throughout the 27 years ofnthe war..

This is the Mythos intro. I have different intros for different video series. Lore and Theory still sport the HUD intro and the Most Detailed series sports an alternate version. Don't worry, it's still around.
Getting back into the lore of Halo, one thing that has been bugging me recently with the HCW is the death count on the human side, it seems to large. I hear about planets falling, and yet most do not even break the tens of millions in population. Without a doubt, the casualties would get into the billions, but I question how, according to some estimates, 20-30 billion were killed. It could just be another one of Halo’s scaling issues, or maybe I am missing something.
You forget the UNSC at its height had expanded to over 500 worlds, and only a dozen or so were left after the war. So it’s not that far off to think. That’s an average 60 million per planet. Some less and some more but it checks out.

Every Halo video i watch just makes me more disappointed in Halo infinite😢😔 i do enjoy the campaign but it’s a pretty short isolated game compared to the others, which i get, it was a soft reboot, but its time to start getting news about DLC or something and the multiplayer is inexcusable. If the new management doesn’t make some pretty drastic changes real soon I’m not sure how many more ppl are going to be interested.
60 seconds of outro music is just unacceptable padding.
That was lacking and focused on the Spartans more than the Militia and or anything else on ground that fought like hell and lost. We all know Spartans and the 117 saved us. You could have at least done some reading into how the ground fights always favorite UNSC until total annihilation. Give the boots some merit. The big bads in machine suits rock but you make it out that the people the ones that fought didn't matter. Shit ain't fair bro.

It's good narrative and good research but don't headline it as such. I'm salty bastard when it comes to older lore. Also no hurt or anything. Still you are the best out there. I am a big fan. Video was okay, ya more just summarized basic knowledge from the games plot rather than any actually interesting knowledge about the Inner sieges.
This is just narration of a book that serves as a summary/introduction to halo.
It isn't an actual lore video meant to explore anything in depth.

Dang. Reminds me how much they botched the lore in the show.
The show was an alternate time-line. Blue team time-line is the game universe, Silver team time-line is the show universe. Kind of like X-men: Days of Future Past.
Not a bad video. But really just touching on Cote d Azur and not even talking about reach. Not talking about anything after. 10 minute video. Pretty disappointed in this one.

Meh Halo as far as I'm concerned is just another dead franchise. It had a good run and I still love the memories of good times it gave me. But when you have people running the studio and the TV show that all say they know nothing about it and don't care what the fans want? Yeah then it's time to leave and move on there's plenty of other newer franchises that still have a heart an soul and aren't just in it for every dollar they can squeeze out of people by appealing to their nostalgia. Also sorry Installation00 but I have a rule about channels that start including limits on speech of any kind it's called the unsubscribe button.
