You would need a vegan recipe because this particular soup, the meat and the fat give it the flavor you would need to bring Mexican warmth into your belly! Some recipes you can veganize but others I find when I take ingredients out and others in, it just doesn’t taste the same! But good luck or “buena suerte” I think that’s right🤔
@@patijinich Thank you so much for your response. I did let the beans cook a bit longer and smashed some up and the consistency came out perfect. My husband and I are in our 70's and I haven't done any cooking (real cooking) in a long time. I had so much fun making this meal. I did it all from scratch (even cooking the beans) just like you did. My husband LOVED it! I did too! I've seen more of your recipes that I'm going to try too! Thank you so much!

Without the bacon, it won’t get the particular taste it adds to the meat.

Pati I made this but it was too soupy. What can I do to make it thicker without messing up the flavor?
Maybe just let it cook a bit longer on low heat if you like it more dense, but carne en su jugo is supposed to be soupy :)
