It's a long story, involving installing an optics plate, with things going a little sideways, but you helped me figure out where certain parts went back in, and how. You really saved the day. I hope RUclips doesn't take down this video. Thank you for taking the time to do this video and then making it available for the rest of us.

It’s nice that you didn’t edit out the parts it was being a pain in the ass so people can have a realistic idea on how things will actually go. Great job man, much appreciated.

Your video was a huge help. I just received a PDP Dynamic Performance Trigger and the little booklet Walther sends has very small pictures and confusing directives. I'm pretty mechanical but their installation manual was severely lacking. Your video pulled me through and I got everything working. Thanks for taking the time, it's most appreciated!

Best video I've seen for assembly and disassembly of the PDP. Saved my a$$ big time! I had the sear spring pop out...spent 3 hrs looking for it! Was having a miserable time trying to get it back together. This video really pulled me out of a simmering rage. Thanks!!

Be careful when hiting out the slide lock lever pin. I literally out a small crack in my frame right next to where the lever goes into the frame. Luckily it didnt affect anything. Put about 1000 rounds since, no problems. I will eventually order a new frame, but they are hard to come by.

Thanks for the video. I broke my ejector running 18 round mags in the PDP Compact and your tutorial was helpful.
    Two points to help others:
1.) The ejector isn’t molded into the sear housing. You can gently pry it free with your fingers and replace it without further dissembling the sear housing.
2.) I’d recommend installing the rear roll pin to lock in the sear housing in place before reinstalling the slide lock. Twice while putting it back in place, the housing came loose and the sear, spring, and detent fell out. Which caused me to have to reinstall that infernal sear a total of three times.
    Respect. 👊🏻

I was dry firing my 4.5" full size with the plastic optics plate removed and the vertical pin flew out, which caused the entire extractor system to come apart. This video saved my life. I was freaking out that my handgun broke. Thank you so much for this. I'm completely in love with the PDP.

I thought this was a copy of a VP9, not even close! Love this gun and how it shoots. Apparently it is easy to work on. I was concerned about that because the VP9 is somewhat complex, so I had migrated to all Sig. And while it is a bit more difficult with more parts than a P320, it’s not complex. This will be a new acquisition for me! Love how it shoots!

Haven't done this yet on my PDP but it looks much easier than the PPQ sear block. I never thought of using a straw for a slave pin, I cut a piece off of an ink pen tube. Maybe the tolerances are different on the two guns but ink tube seemed to fit in the PPQ better than your straw

@the gun bench - thanks for the video. Trying to put the trigger housing assembly back together. Really struggling with the spring and sear. I think I finally got it back in. When you pressed down on it around 28 minutes and said “it should move freely” it almost looked like yours was “bouncing” as in springing back up when you depressed it with your finger. I got mine back in there after an hour of trying but it doesn’t seem to be “springy” like yours did. Do you think I did it incorrectly? Thoughts?

Does the red dot adapter plate need to be removed in order to get to the striker? The screws Walther sent me for my plate, one of them stripped and I can't get it off now. It's on there solid but I have absolutely no clue how to get it off without damaging the slide or threads for the screw and I'm in need of a new striker.

Great video that helped immensely, thank you Gun Bench. I just installed an aftermarket trigger and have some tips when removing/re-inserting the slide stop...
Always support the frame the best you can when working with these parts. I believe Walther recommends having a magazine inserted. I suspect they have their own jig when putting these things together, but for most of us, a painters/Gorilla tape roll will have to do...
Removing the slide stop for the first time can be stupidly hard. Ideally, you'd use a punch large enough to cover the center of the X to reduce the chance of missing, which is easy to do with smaller punches.
As for reassembly, you'd figure re-inserting the right slide stop piece is simple enough, but this is where I suspect many crack their frames. There is a thin, super fragile area of the frame, where the little nub of the right side slide stop has its little slot; looking at this area, you'll know what exactly what I'm talking about. If you don't support the frame properly while smacking the left side of the slide stop to get it to lock into the right, the right slide stop's little nub will hit and tear/crack this delicate part of the frame... there are quite a few reports of this online.
Make sure the right side slide stop rests as close as it can to the frame. In this video, it seems putting it flat against the table and whacking it covered with a towel did it just fine. Now, if you were to do the same on top of the tape roll? RIP, lol.
Hope this helps some people out there, good luck...

This is my first gun and i got a free vortex viper to put on it. But i realized i cant adjust the sight to zero in the red dot without taking the factory rear sight off. Is there a way to just unscrew the rear sight from top or from the bottom of the slide? Or do i need to jam a punch into the left side of it? I dont even know which size punch i would need

Have you heard or noticed anything about that scratching/ wear on the underside of the PDP's barrel? Really want to get one but after watching close to a dozen field strip or teardown vids every one of them shows that bad wear to varying degrees in the same spots, even yours has the beginnings of it. On several you can even see metal shavings throughout the gun. Really turned me off of getting one, never seen that kind of wear on another pistol.
