- In this episode of Sailing A B Sea we hire a car and visit Antalya in Turkey. While trying to find our hotel we take a wrong turn and end up driving down a narrow tramway which prompts Aannsha to exclaim I don't think we should be driving here.

On any given day- you happen to be driving around Antalya, Turkey in a hired car and you...
find yourself on a tramway and say- "that was a bit unnerving" life takes on a whole new
meaning sorta. Driving by directions from an app- has its disadvantages or it could be
owner/operator error. Hard to say- which one I would choose there Barry & Aannsha but...
you did arrive safe & sound sorta at your hotel. Food & beer and relief from traffic/train problems
interrupting your day pretty much. Well done. An episode I won't forget. A classic for A B Sea.
Now the new app- "Hiring a Driver" to navigate your adventures in town, wound get my recommendation.
Safe travels next week should be- hopefully less unnerving to all involved... maybe.

Jeez, that was scary, not even a no-entry sign on the tram line. Just out of curiosity I had a look at that junction (google maps) there's a tiny little sign on the right with a car and a line through it, that's it!.
I think I would have given up and dumped the car in a car park then got a taxi to the hotel.
It was certainly an interesting day. 👍

Beautiful hotel and restaurant. I hope you make it to Cappadocia while you are in Turkey. One of my dream locations to visit one day. I remember us chatting about it before COVID. I hope you plan a trip there...only 350 miles away. Please don't miss this amazing place. 💙

Hi, we've been getting caught up on your videos and enjoying your journey! We just watched an episode from about 8 months ago when you were trying to pick up a mooring ball. It brought back memories..... we found that for us it was easier to pick up the ball about 2/3 down the starboard side of the boat. It wasn't as far to reach down and the helm could also see the ball. We would then walk the line up to the bow and tie off. Enjoy the the beautiful blue waters for those of us watching from our couch.... In the cold !!😊

Oh, guys, that was so funny! And don't worry about the tram line... navigation at sea is one thing, but Anthony could get lost on land going from one end of the garden path to the other :)

As much as we love our boats, it’s nice to get away for the weekend. When you’re in a hotel, you can’t do boat projects!

This made me chuckle ! We stayed in Antalya old town in 2016 to look at a yacht that was for sale in Fenike Marina (didn’t buy that one). We hired a car and did exactly what you did 😳 I must say you went much further up the tram track than I did, we had locals shouting and waving their arms after 50 meters 🤣🤣🤣 The entrance could do with being a bit more prominent for sure 💁🏼♂️

Hi guys… so nice to see Antalya Old Town… I made a huge mistake while there for 4 days and stayed at Konyaalti Beach… nice for summer but silly for winter that’s for sure, as it rained almost all day every day. I’m kicking myself now watching you guys going around those beautiful tight streets and museums 🤦🏻♂️
I only went to Antalya Aquarium which was nice, missed everything else.
Ah well hopefully next time. Keep it up guys and look both ways for trains (forwards and behind) 😂
In the winter Antalya does get a lot of rain. 🌧

We would hope to see light at the end of the tunnel, not the headlights of a tram.😂
Well that was a roller coaster ride - with a smooth stop. The hotel looked amazing - and the food! No fish in this episode. Can't wait for the museum episode next week. Have you passed your stone yet? Was this video pre-stone? That wrong way - down the tram line might have been the incident to knock loose the stone.

Seeing you have been in Turkey for so long do you have to get a Driving Licence as your Australian Driving Licence is only good for about 3months and a International Driving only last for a short time as well ???????? Or do you need a light Rail Licence :)??????? Was Faster for me to just get a Thai Driving Licence in the end but will renew my Australian when its due. Great Vlog as all ways stay safe .
(Baz) Yep a light rail license is what I've applied for now that I've done my training. 😂 Aussie license is good for 6 months here. We do have an option to apply for a Turkish license. 👍
