Jori's is neat in concept, but in execution, the lack of stagger or serious damage just means it's not worth using over almost anything else. I wanted to love it, but it just underwhelmed me.
Noted, proceeds to still use the same weapons oh, I finally took out the Cristal Trio in Sellia Highway with a leveled up Hammer +24. Their health bars melted with the power of bonk.
5:38 something that people always seem to miss about the backhand blades, both regular and cirque, is that they have special guard counters, normally weapons just do a regular heavy swing, but backhand blades have a flurry of hits and Cirque has a very neat Bloodhound finesse like animation where you back step and throw the weapon, its huge! how can you leave guard counters out? These weapons make it feel like you have 2 Ashes of War in your weapon.

I love using the serpent flail with that one talisman that enhances running attacks. I just use the AoW, run up to the enemy, then do a giant bonk. Once I gather some more fragments I’m gonna kill Messmer and get ledas armor so I can stack it with the talisman
I've heard the same " as long as one arrow or bolt connects" thing about the spread crossbow. It didn't work for. Against rellana point blank it took 30 bolts to proc rot and 30 to proc frost. The 3 shot crossbow did each in 6 bolts. I haven't tried the bow yet. It's on Xbox. Also the weapon art on the sacred bloody great spear is broken. At +9 it only does 20 HP damage ticks and doesn't proc bleed. I can't even kill birds with it
I’m really not a big fan of the Flame Knights Greatsword nerf, it’s really making me struggle now finding a good build on Dex to replace it now since the Greatsword got nerfed…

I loved their previous weapon designs better here I thought they would make the bland weapons look equally better and not look totally bland.

And unlike flails, they don't bend, so the weight of the entire weapon plus the person behind it is put into the swing (not just the head). However, once the stirrup was invented (that one took a surprisingly long time), the lance was hitting with _the speed and weight of the entire horse and rider._ This amount of energy was crazy, and a square hit could instantly crumple full plate armor. Hell, often the deciding factors for lance power was "how much recoil can the rider take?" and "how hard can it hit before the lance shatters?" (wood was better than metal, because of both weight and they WOULD break under the forces involved, better to splinter than bend under your horse).

Honestly, I wish the game didn't have colossal weapons because they've made every other melee weapon feel like kitchen knives for me.
